“Absolutely LOVEEEE this place and the new menu is banging!! You can go vegan, veggie or meaty on any of their burger choices. Although making that choice isn’t easy, they all sound unreal. I’ve been a fan of Annie’s for years and getting to meet her properly last night was so much fun, she’s so lovely. I’ve never ever been disappointed when visiting here, and the new burgers are sooooooooo bloody good . Highly recommend getting the Texas bbq rib and the poutine fries!!”

“Came with a friend for dinner, she has been a few times and said it was good. She was not wrong, the food was delicious, staff were very friendly and also gave good advice, and the atmosphere was very welcoming too. Would definitely visit again next time I'm around! I ordered the steak burger, my friend ordered the chicken burger - we cut them both in half and shared them to try both. Delicious! I had the cheese board for dessert which was really nice too. Would recommend to anyone!”

“Stayed one night, in Grantham for a funeral. Staff were excellent, had a meal in the evening which was very nice. Lovely spacious room with loads of storage, ironing board and iron, good hairdryer.big bath towels. I left something behind and Mel the receptionist rang me and it was soon sorted. If we are ever up in Grantham again no hesitation in staying at the the Angel and Royal.”

“Excellent food. We ordered three different types of kabob between us (koobideh, jujeh, and barg) and they were all the exceptional. More people should know about Persian food, and Kabob, and this is a great place to try it! Thank you.”

“I have just spent and afternoon here raising money for the local play group and the place was good, plenty of support. I was embarrassed to win some money and returned 30 of the 50. “Didn't even know this place insisted. Just been to Forest shop and needed to have something to eat. Googled, pubs near me and this pub came up. Inside lovely and clean, not busy today lady behind bar was very welcoming and nice. Didn't have to wait long for our food. Tex sharer and cheese, bacon burger. All of the food was so delicious. Definitely visit again if in the area. Thank you!!”

“My cousin's local. Guinness about £3.80 a pint. The food is amazingly good. Two fish & chips and two burger in a basket meals (Mmm.. This IS a tasty burger) for about £37. I wish I had these prices down South.”

“The Rose and Crown is easily one of the best student pubs in Notts. The food and drinks are always spot on, and the BOGOF cocktails on Fridays and Saturdays are a huge plus. The entire team is friendly, welcoming, and always up for a laugh, making the atmosphere both comfortable and enjoyable. Sean is by far the best manager, while Tracy and Angela always look after customers and make sure everyone’s having a good time. The chefs are quick and provide some of the best pub food around, and karaoke nights are always entertaining, making it a go-to destinationw with a fun mood every time xx”

“Looked and felt just like a completely normal pub but all of the food was vegan! This is exactly the sort of place I love. The food was incredible, I went for the tofish tacos and as it was Friday I got this plus a pint for £12. Relatively quiet at 6pm on a Friday, plenty of tables to choose from and not too noisy that we could chat easily”

“We visited here on Saturday 1st December to hear some live music. Have to say it's so good to see a "real pub" that's doing well as a pub! The crowd was lively - mixed ages which is nice to see - and the beer was good and well priced. Certainly will be visiting again when up in the area.”

“Nipped in at about 20:30 on a weekday and Nicky showed us to a lovely table and talked us through the specials, the service she gave was so warm and friendly and the food was really good! I had the pie and my partner had the chicken schnitzel, we shared the baked Camembert to start. Cannot fault anything here, all this and it’s dog friendly! Brilliant”
