“What can I say, I love a good steak and you can definitely find one here! Perfectly cooked, full of flavour fillet steak. If you’re a carnivore like me then I’m sure you will enjoy every bite. I loved the fact they bring you a tray of different knives to pick from, nice touch. Really great service as well, super pleasant and welcoming. Will be back again. Highly recommend!”

“Went to Wagamama in Notts today with my friend for lunch. Everything was top notch. The food was delicious. I had the fried greens, ebi katsu, and chicken katsu curry, my friend had the duck gyoza and prawn curry. We had a beer and a cocktail. The food arrived hot and fresh, yummy! Thankyou chefs. The highlight of our stay were the staff. We were greeted by the hostess and taken to our table of choice, served by another friendly young chap, but there's one staff memeber who stood out above all others, anywhere I've ever been to and thats a young lady named Sophie. Studying at university who works to earn her spending money. She was a delight, a credit to Wagamama. She was so kind and friendly, so ambitious and I see a great life ahead for her. I think anything she does, she will do it well. Thanks for the wonderful service Sophie, you were the shining light above all others today, and made our rare luncheon really special. “We were here for a wedding. The space was beautifully decorated. It looked gorgeous and rustic, perfect for photos. As vegans we felt pleasantly surprised by the amount of choices available to us. The starters and dessert in particular were nice. Service was great, everyone was attentive and helpful. The musician, Paul Tabor, that was playing was incredible. Overall we’d highly recommend it.”

“Don't let some of the negative reviews put you off visiting this restaurant (no unpleasant smells either). There were 4 of us & we're greeted with a warm welcome. Now to the main event. I had black pearl scallops as a starter & grilled chicken breast in a chasseur sauce for my main, really tasty & well presented. The rest of our group really enjoyed their food as well. It was our first visit & won't be out last. I can honestly say it's we'll worth a visit.”

“Came here for my birthday and it was brilliant.. one person on our table has a severe allergy to nuts, and the staff were amazing. They called her before hand to ensure she had a meal that was “safe”. We also had a gluten free and vegetarian in our party and the staff where happy to stand and to though the menu with us. Thought out the night they kept coming to check on us, answering questioned we had regarding food and drink. - Food was lovely and the music was right up our street. Lillian is an asset to bistro live. Although she was working she just matched the vibe of our table, even coming over at the end of her shift to say good bye and told me to enjoy my night…”

“Aside from the fact that all the meals I had were delicious the service was really good. The food was served on time and no delay, staff were very friendly and welcoming. Another thing that stood out for me was the steak; I always order a medium rare when having steak because well-done is always too dry. But my partner loves well-done so he had that and the steak was very juicy; it was well-done but I could still taste the juiciness of the meat. I will visit again to try the brunch menu.”

“All the HK people who have moved to Nottingham know this place. It’s probably one of not the best Chinese food places in Nottingham. The seafood was fresh, the prawns were so fresh. The peking duck was cooked to perfection. The waiters were excellent and helped when needed. However the toilets were being fixed so a little annoying”

“Definitely the best dining experience in Nottingham, hands down. (I visited the Showcase cinema complex branch!) First class food, first class service. Great ambience and music. And out-of-the-world price! I didn’t even realise I came here on opening day, and it’s all decked out, the staff revved up and smiling. Thanks especially to Burak- excellent recommendation and such warm service. Great guy. And thanks to Sedaf too for her friendly service. If you haven’t visited this place, you must. The beds were so soft and comfortable that both of us did not have any issues getting a good nights sleep. “I visited the Nottingham Long Row which is now using Halal Beef. There is still bacon used here but it's cooked and handled on a completely separate grill. As always, I went for my go to order - Cheeseburger with Cajun fries and a Peanut Butter Shake. For £10.65 a double cheeseburger with unlimited sauces and toppings isn't bad at all and their Cajun fries are just too good. Also their shakes are just the best - no debate there. I also tried their halal hotdog for the first time. Probably the best hotdog I've had. The quality of the beef sausage in the brioche roll was a winner. If you've never tried Five Guys, definitely worth trying as there's a lot of options for customisations!”

“Went here for breakfast on a whim for my 30th birthday. Fancied something authentic and Shahjee's did not disappoint. Its the positive reviews that pulled me in, which definitely checked out. I had the halwa, puri, aloo chana deal. Had an omelette on the side to share, which was lovely. Spicy, with onions, tomatoes and mixed Peppers. The desi tea could have had a but more cinnamon and flavour in it but to be honest, to say it is included in the meal option, you really cannot complain about it. Would definitely come again and glad I trusted the reviews. Everything is freshly prepared and cooked, even the tea. Nothing is already pre-made or packet that you just reheat in the microwave. Yes the place was a tad busy but that's pretty much goes to show how popular and enjoyable the food is. I'd rather go to a place that is busy and bustling, than dead and quiet. Also has a food hygiene rating of 5. The negative reviews are either very picky/fussy eaters with lack of patience, or may have just a genuine hiccup, which can happen. I think so long as you give the place an opportunity to actually rectify the concern/issue, then that's what matters, as opposed to coming on her to moan and complain. Will be coming again.”
