“The food was hot and tasty, and the calzone was lovely. It was a bit quiet when we arrived, but it was filling up a bit by the time we left. Conrad was our waiter, and was great!”
“Ellen as always was fantastic. Service was lovely so down to earth and helpful . Had a lovely Christmas catch up”
“Just enjoyed a brilliant night out! The buffet had an incredible variety, and every dish I tried was fresh and bursting with flavour, especially the beef lasagne and nachos. The service was spot on, and the atmosphere just added to the festive vibe. Honestly, it was fantastic value for money and perfect for my celebration. Can't wait to come back!”
“Absolutely loved this place, the food is amazing and at £21 a head at the weekend it’s amazing value too. Everything is cooked to order rather than being left on hot plates. The staff are really friendly too explaining what each dish is and also allowing changes to the dish to be made. £49 inc drinks each for a Saturday late lunch and all you can each was so good value. We will be back for sure !!!”
“This in my opinion is best takeaway in Chesterfield.... last night had mixed Shawarma and Donner kebab with the garlic prawn loaded fries.... was incredible.... tonight tried their hungry burger and again was superb. Piping hot on portion size was great. 100% our new goto food stop....”
“This was the best haircut I've had in a long time and easily the best barbers I've been to in Sheffield, having moved here two years ago. Bryn was excellent. He took the time to speak to me about what I wanted and my hair type. Explaining the process as we went along. The whole experience was relaxing and comfortable. I've found my new barbers. Highly recommend!”
“Excellent bar, with very friendly staff. Amazing atmosphere and really good selection of drinks”
“Great breakfast... especially the hash browns! Clearly all made with high quality ingredients! Thank!”
“Tried almost every dish as I love Asian food. This man knows how to cook. Lovely staff great customer service, on time service. Highly recommended.”
“Just brilliant! Wonderful Spanish food, great atmosphere and friendly staff! Dan is so knowledgeable about the food and wine and it makes for a great dining experience. Can’t wait to go back to try more, but make sure you have the prawns and also the croquettes which are so tasty! Don’t hesitate booking, you’ll be pleased you’ve been!”
“Came with my family of five and everything from the appetizers to the main dishes was excellent. The staff were friendly, welcoming and professional. It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel at home! Thank you so much ☺️”
“One of the loveliest Italian places we've been to. Excellent atmosphere, wonderful staff, and great food. Only criticisms would be a personal preference for more 'bread-like' pizza dough (higher protein and water content, minimal oil content), and for proper Kalamata olives as opposed to generic (and otherwise awful) "black olives". Oh, and I just prefer linen to serviettes. But otherwise it's a simply wonderful place, with good-quality ingredients, and we'd be delighted to go back in the near future. Thanks very much.”
“Lovely little coffee shop with delicious home baked buns and cakes. Staff always really friendly. Little gem in Chapeltown.”
“We had a wonderful time. The food was amazing - I especially recommend the chicken steak as it was incredibly well marinated. The staff were very friendly and gave us great recommendations. Sepi was lovely and offered excellent customer service.”
“We took a group of children during the school half term and we all had a wonderful time. Staff could not have been more accomodating or helpful - thank you so much.”
“Brilliant service, got greeted as soon as we walked in. Didn't get force sold anything, had a nice chat and laugh with staff. Food was served quickly, you can see it all being cooked in front of you. Seating is limited to only 4 tables but we found space easily! Would recommend and will be going back!”
“Under new management! Great, lively and quirky bar. Fantastic cocktails with a cocktail of the month available. Lovely seated courtyard area and extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff.”
“This is a must-visit for anyone looking to experience the rich and diverse flavors of Brazil. Whether you are familiar with Brazilian cuisine or trying it for the first time, this restaurant will leave you impressed and craving more. Highly recommended!”
“Warm and friendly great prices.”
“I went for lunch today with two friends. Honestly its such a lovely place. We were in the conservatory and it was warm and cosy and had that " loungy" " home from home" feeling. You don't get that in most of the other coffee places in Dronfield. Tables are usually crammed together with uncomfortable chairs. These chairs are upholstered and really comfy...which is fantastic when you have a bad back! The coffee is strong and how coffee should taste..and I am very picky! It was lovely to look out of the window and see beautiful greenery and vibrant coloured flowers...even saw a squirrel. Michael the owner is really friendly and listening to his stories about the history of The Chantry as we were leaving was captivating. I would also feel comfortable going there with a book on my own. I had a bacon, brie and cranberry panini...really tasty with a side salad and french dressing... If you want an "experience" then I would go here. Its a much welcome change from modern, cold, minimalist places and has a charm that can only come from years and years of history. It's somewhere that ticks the box that no other place round here does. We will be back soon!”
“Delicious! This place feels underrated, it’s really strong especially compared to relatively local competition and delivers some great, elegant, well presented tasty dishes. Think fine dining for some, but without unnecessary faff and with more accessible dishes on the menu. The service is friendly and classy - we’d visit more if we were closer.”
“Very good place for the community always something going on. Car Show today.”
“Lovely place. Good food, served quickly. Quick friendly service from the staff. recently had a refurb with new tables, chairs and cutlery which are all nice. a good idea to book as its often full but there is outside seating and takeaway options”
“The best Chinese Takeaway in Sheffield. For potions, variety and value Lucky Star is absolutely best ever. Lisa and Ping are the best cooks in the world. They are so lovely and take good care of you. They have running the Lucky Star for a long time and deeply rooted in the community. From regular and big orders they are the best. Highly recommend the grilled pork dumplings.”
“Had an incredible time at Beju. The staff were extremely nice and accommodating, especially our server Nico who truly went above and beyond to make my friend’s birthday special. The restaurant is beautiful and the food was incredible. It’s so great to have such a lovely halal restaurant. I will definitely be coming back. Highly, highly recommend. Toilets were also decorated so beautifully and were very clean.”
“Lovely food in a modern yet homely pub restaurant. Clean and friendly, lots of lovely details like small lights on each table. We had the Friday lunch deal which was £15 for a main meal and a drink (including wine or beer) and had the fish tacos. They were light yet filling with a lovely salad and sauce inside, served in a taco holder. The fish was obviously cooked freshly to order. The other options included lasagne and arancini. We then had desserts, a liqueur affogato and a sticky toffee pudding which was served with custard and some fruit on the side. The place was quiet which was surprising given the quality of the food but we could smell the beef brisket cooking for the evening menu which smelled amazing. Service was fantastic, attentive but not overbearing and we were asked how our food was a couple of times. A man I believe was the owner was there alongside the waiting staff and helped take good care of us This place isn't cheap but for delicious home made food with excellent service it is reasonable, our meals came to £23 each including a medium glass of wine with a main course and dessert. Ideal for a date or meal with friends, highly recommended (I forgot to take photos of the main course)”
“Visiting family in Sheffield and went here for lunch. Lovely atmosphere and food. Would definitely go again”
“Just been for an early evening meal. What a beautiful restaurant, with a lovely welcoming ambience. The menu is amazing and covers all food choices, and the chef was lovely, giving us complimentary bread and dips, and an alternative dish to sample that he was trying out. The waiting staff were suburb, especially Chloe who was so lovely and attentive. I can highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning very soon.”
“Came here for their Sunday lunch. You can do 3 courses for £40 or 2 courses for £36 (I think). Menu rotates and is seasonal I believe, and each course has 3 options to choose from (deserts had 4). I had crispy duck to start, pork belly roast for main and a chocolate thing for dessert. Big portions, rich food and absolutely delicious. Oh we also had bread and a small amuse-bouche to too. Visited Juke and Loe when they were based at their old restaurant on Eccleshall Road, and glad to say service and food is just as good.”
