“I've eaten here a couple of times and both have been excellent. Definitely a modern aesthetic and a welcome break from trad Italian restaurants. The sharing platters are excellent and some of the best calamari I've ever had! Cracking pizzas and pasta too, which on Sundays are 50% off making it remarkable value. Nice bar upstairs if you want to extend your evening. Parking is on the street and can be tricky sometimes, but other neighbouring streets offer good alternative parking places. Highly recommended.”

“We go on a regular basis, we have big family birthday meals there & every time it’s been fantastic. There’s a lovely young lady, usually behind the bar & we often like to wonder what colour her hair will be! We always feel welcomed and have a lovely time. Prices are very reasonable & the food is generally spot on. Would recommend.”

“This is my local pub and I come here every few days. The atmosphere is always just right, not quiet but not loud. Service is always great. Lewis is normally the guy that serves me for food and drinks. He is a very polite and a helpful guy who always makes sure everything is good with your food. His customer service is very good and he always has a smile. The food is good and well priced.”

“Visited on a weeknight, plenty of seating, friendly atmosphere and bar staff, enjoyed loaded nachos, which was a generous portion, it came hot and was very tasty and a burger with soft drinks, ordered via the QR code on the table, food came quickly. There are screens everywhere that had sports showing, so if you're easily distracted this one's not for you! The venue is accessible by a flight of stairs but the is a wheelchair lift.”

“Had breakfast here one Sunday morning. Great that it opens from 8am and for £1.30 there is unlimited hot drinks. I had the pancakes with bacon. Whilst the picture makes it looks un-appetising, it was pretty tasty! Service was really swift - there were a few people there for breakfast already, but the staff were on the ball!”

“First time at this pub and I was impressed by the cleanliness of the car park, internal areas and toilets. I had the carvery which was hot and well cooked. The staff member who served me was called Sophie she was polite, friendly yet professional. Even during the meal I was asked if everything was OK. Will definitely come back.”

“Great pub/bar in Mexborough with loads of drink choices at very reasonable prices e.g. 6 bottles of Bud in an ice bucket for £14 (as of March 2024). Loads of seating, both inside and out with snooker and pool tables available, as well as a DJ on weekends. ☆☆☆☆☆”

“Do try the Christmas pizzas excellent! Dad had the afternoon fish and chips always tremendous value. Some excellent draught ales available others not so ! Broke my golden rule try before you buy please please do this as one pint was definitely not a pleaser so tried all the other offerings on tasters and selected an outstanding pint for my sister, she's a Yorkshire lass and likes a good pint. Staff were as ever polite, friendly and engaging also a good laugh. Not always found in a lot of pubs these days.”

“Having a relative in the hospital up the road, finding this pub was a godsend. Excellent menu choice and unbelievable value for money. I can highly recommend the fish and chips, Gammon and the Surf and turf. Portions are spot on and the price is great. What makes the pub though are the staff. They make you feel like a regular as you order your first drink. Even though I live over 20 miles away I will make a point of continuing to visit this pub and work my way through the menu!”

“We took our 5 children for an hour and ended up ordering some food for them. We don’t usually take them out to eat very often as the you boys are Autistic and the younger two also have ADHD, we often feel we are judged. This couldn’t have been further from our experience here! Dave and Vicky were amazing with the kids, they made it a fantastic experience to the point of the children wanting to cuddle them upon leaving! They went above and beyond to make them smile, what fantastic people. The food was brilliant too! Thanks so much, we will definitely visit again with the children.”

“been in this pub few times, the service was friendly, the quality of meals were basic , with that price you are not expecting too much. chips were crispy, chicken wings were plenty. beaware some meals are including drinks. good selection of drinks and their prices were low. guinness was £2.58 a pint. other pubs in peak district you won't even get half a pint. tea and coffee are refillable it was only £1.02.”

“We went for lunch on a Tuesday myself, wife and baby. Food was delicious. We asked for a table with space for the pram and my mobility aid and the lady showing us to the table was so polite and moved chairs out of the way to make our table more comfortable for us. It’s a small thing but when you’re disabled and have a newborn small things like that can make a big difference. Our server Beth was great, very polite and helpful. The food was great. The menu has changed since last time I visited but it was delicious.”
