“Moved here from America so I have been on the hunt for a good seafood boil. Took my mom here for her birthday. The food was great and you really can’t get seafood boil anywhere outside of London in England so I was happy to find it. Service was great. We were helped by two guys one named harry and the other named Scott I believe but I’m not too sure they were very attentive and friendly and it was an overall really good atmosphere. Would definitely recommend”

“We really loved it! We arrived at 10 and they were closing in half an hour - but stuff was really friendly and cool to take! make! and serve the amazing mea for us! We LOVED it! Meat was super delicious or maybe we were too hungry! Anyway. It’s really cool place to get some food and enjoy yourselves! Ah! Also. Mojito was good as well!”

“Ordered from Totton Grill via JustEat this evening. We ordered their meal for 2 - consisting of a tandoori hot pizza and a chicken kebab and we also ordered some chicken wings. (The meal also came with 2 drinks and we got a FREE cheesy garlic bread.) We live about a 20 minute drive away but the food was delivered piping hot by one of the friendliest delivery drivers I've ever chatted with! Pizza was cooked to perfection as was the kebab. Couldn't find a way to edit the salad options on the kebab via just eat so left a note for the store which they followed to the letter. The wings are proper wings, not the defrosted Iceland wings so many take aways use and were full of flavour! The £6 delivery charge and £30 minimum spend is fair considering the distance. If nobody else was ordering for delivery in my neck of the woods that's a 40 min round trip for one delivery so £6 is actually a steal. Can't understand the few negative reviews on here but cycle through my other reviews and you'll see I'm honest to the maximum when I review. Will definitely order from here again!”

“Having already visited the Portsmouth branch recently and being very impressed when I had to go to Southampton knowing they also had a branch I decided to book my lunch there. While I ordered different dishes than before I was still very impressed with all the food and it was all very tasty, my waitress Sam was very helpful and made me feel very welcome, as long as tap and tandoor continue to accept cash payment I will continue to go as the food and the service is excellent, what is worrying though is this is the second time I have come at peak time and it has been very quiet and I really don't know why when both the food and service have been this good, especially when way worse restaurants like bills and Zizzi are busy it's very confusing.”

“We were looking for a carvery and was recommended The Forge by a friend. First time here and they did not disappoint! The meats and veg were lovely, generous portions and cooked well. The puddings were astounding, I had the brownie and ice cream, it was unreal! Just look at that presentation, it made me say "wow" when the waitress brought it over. We had 2 drinks 2 meals and 2 puddings all for £37, I think that's an insanely good price! The atmosphere was really nice as well, we had a great night, thanks! 5/5* would 100% recommend!”

“Much better eating in than delivery, so worth noting. You get freshly prepare bowls completely as you build yourself, portions are good sized and some nice extras available if you’re still hungry. Cake for dessert is available. Not too noisy to eat and chat, and never that busy inside”

“This is a diamond hiding in plain sight! A perfect cozy and comfortable restaurant. Food is just right with lots of flavour and variety. Staff are welcoming and friendly with right right amount of interaction and interest. I've eaten here a few times now and have not been disappointed. Outdoor, covered eating space or roomy warm interior. Many drink options to choose from ales, cocktails, spirits and wine. For a privately owned and run local restaurant this is somewhere I would always recommend and when possible (as not local) eat at.”

“We stopped for lunch in this proper cosy pub with a thatched roof and log burning stove in the heart of the beautiful New Forest just before Christmas. There were locals propping up the bar (always a good sign), the staff were really friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. Highly recommended.”

“Cool! Lively pub with plenty of room to sit with your gang or maybe plot a Tudor uprising. Service was polite and efficient even though it was pretty busy. Barmaid took the time to welcome us and chitchat a bit. The atmosphere and history are pretty real but they don’t live off their reputation it’s still a good pub even without the history. I think my favorite thing was sitting in the second floor balcony looking down on everything.”

“We havelllƙn't been to The Cricketers Inn before, had no views from friends or family and briefly looked at a couple of reviews before booking three adults and two small dogs in for Sunday Lunch. When we got to the pub, we were faced with our first challenge - the car park was packed. Lucky for us, we found the last available slot. We'd been told that our table was in the bar area because of the dogs and, as so often happens. expected to be sat in a 'rougher' part of the pub. Not so here. The location was quiet, spotless, roomy and rather pleasant - as was all areas of the Pub. The service was excellent throughout with friendly, courteous and efficient staff. All that's left is to review the food. I was pleasantly surprised. The pork, which I selected, was loin and not belly as many pubs now serve and the vegetables are served separately. My two fellow diners chose lamb which many pubs have dropped from the menu on cost grounds. All three meals were well presented with generous portions and extremely flavoursome. All three of us (and the dogs) ⁷ùjǰhighly recommend you book your Sunday Lunch at The Cricketers Inn in the near future.”

“I had my birthday lunch at La Regata, and it was truly a wonderful experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with beautiful Spanish décor that made the meal feel extra special. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made me feel genuinely celebrated on my birthday. The food was absolutely delicious – every dish was full of flavour, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. The tapas selection was especially impressive, with a great variety to suit all tastes. La Regata exceeded my expectations, and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend a special occasion. “Great experience, great food, and the gentlemen serving effortlessly tag teamed the meal. We split the ploughman, the lamb and mint pie of the day, and the chicken katsu curry. On the pie, while the lamb filling was tasty, it was the tender crunchy crust that stole the show for me. The curry was very flavorful, without being spicy, over crispy fried chicken (comes with thinly sliced hot pepper on top if you want a little kick!) And what can I say about The Duke's ploughman - can confirm it's big! Little bit of everything, mix and match pickled, fresh, creamy, crunchy, soft, savory, salty. Perfect to nosh with a few friends over drinks. Only downside that despite being listed as a sharable, when the server brought it out he didn't give any individual plates and we had to ask. But really that tiny misstep was the worst thing all night. Charming pub, a variety of drinks and food to match.”

“Simply one of the best restaurants in Winchester. A hidden gem. Amazing food. Great staff and great venue. Plenty of seating. Food cooked in open kitchen. Steaks to rival any London steakhouse. Prices are reasonable but what you would exepct in Winchester. Parking at nearby Chesil Street carpark a short 5 minute walk away. Can't recommend this place anymore.. a must try.”
