βOrchard Surgery- Best Doctor's surgery my children have been registered with. Brilliant with children, never had a problem getting a appointment even on short notice with either a nurse or a Doctor. Personally not experienced long waiting times when ringing for appointments, visiting Surgery, or if waiting for a call back, never experienced a overly long wait.β
βI am over the moon with the service . I was dubious when moving back to Packmoor to use them as years ago we did not receive a good service . Since the βtakeoverβ things seem to have changed dramatically. The reception staff are incredibly attentive and will bend over backwards to try to accommodate our needs . When we have needed an emergency appointment we always get one , when we need a prescription itβs always put through promptly . We do have various problems with our children and their acute medical needs but nothing is ever too much trouble . I have never experienced a practice as good as this ! Thanks .... the Heath-Smiths .β
βThis is for the eating disorders outpatient service. Dr Jackson is one of the best doctors I've ever known. can't recommend him enough! he has a very deep understanding of psychiatry (hopefully I'm using the correct term) and always explained things in ways that made sense to me. I always felt very understood. thank you :) I have also seen Dr Bishop, and he was also good. If you're being referred here for help, please don't worry. I have a lot of bad experiences with mental health services, but I only have good things to say about this place. obviously I can't speak for everyone, but for me personally, it was good. thank you.β
βIβve read many of the reviews of the Ashcombe Centre, and I can understand why some people have felt let down. My main takeaway, though, is that mental health services in this area are severely underfunded and not sufficiently supported to meet the growing demand. My own interactions with the Ashcombe Centre didnβt get off to the best start. I often felt like the ball in a China vs South Korea Olympic Mixed Doubles Ping Pong Final β bounced rapidly between GP, Crisis Team, CMHT, Adult ADHD, back to Crisis, and so on. It was an impressive rally, but I eventually landed in the CMHT side of the court. Mental health is a profoundly complex area of medicine, and I completely understand that I wasnβt an easy case to assess or support. But after being under the CMHT for several weeks now, I honestly canβt praise them enough. The professionals Iβve worked with have shown exceptional warmth, empathy, understanding, effort, and professionalism. What makes that even more impressive is the reality that theyβre working under immense pressure, with limited resources and overwhelming caseloads. Despite that, they still manage to treat people with care, respect, and genuine humanity. Itβs clear they go above and beyond what the system allows them to do. For anyone finding themselves frustrated while engaging with services, my advice would be: try to see the people behind the process. Theyβre not the enemy β theyβre fighting an uphill battle within an underfunded system, and your openness, honesty, and patience can make a real difference in how effectively they can help you. I feel genuinely fortunate to have been placed with clinicians who have the experience and insight to unpick a complex mix of co-morbid factors and help me feel truly understoodβ
βHad an appointment over the phone today due to coronavirus, I'm not sure who the doctor was who I spoke to but he was massively helpful and really understanding! Sorted me a prescription out and I've just been to pick it up. I don't know his name, however I just wanted to say thank you for helping me! :)β
βGood service from Amanda Bailey today with my renewal. Managed to get it cheaper with loads of extras in the policy. Have been using them for many years.β
βUnfortunately I've had to use their services in October 2024. My experience looking back was good. I've turned up unannounced, yes I did wait however the team has helped me get out of the hole I was in. Appreciate all of your work!β
βBeen registered to a few doctors now and this one is by far the best I've been to. The doctor really takes his time to deal with my problems and explains things clearly and respectfully. This helps massively considering I get awful nerves before going to the doctors. Would really reccomend this surgery.β
βBeth was extremely helpful when we had to obtain an urgent prescription item whilst away from home (Kent) earlier this week. She telephoned our local pharmacy when the "script was sent to the wrong place and got it released to Spine (NHS. prescription nationwide service) in order that she could prepare the 'script for us to collect. She returned a call when she said she would and made sure the item was available for dispensing immediately 'script had been released to Spine preventing any further delays. Well done Beth.β
βFriendly and helpful staff. I had come on holiday to Buxton without my usual medication and the staff sorted me out with an emergency supply. Such a relief thank you!β
βI am very grateful to have this GP practice. The receptionists, nurses and drs are caring and compassionate and they do everything they can to help. I am able to easily access them when needed and Iβm really impressed with the new digital systems which are working really well.β
βIf I could give 10 stars, I honestly would. Receptionist are always lovely and welcoming. They often get a lot of abuse, but honestly handle it brilliantly! All of the Doctors are amazing. Especially Dr Percival, Dr Kuba and Dr El Genidy. The nurses are brilliant as well always friendly and kind without fail. Just being patient with them and they will do their absolute best to look after you and your family.β
βThis practice has improved dramatically over the last couple of years, so I think credit where credit is due. I needed to see a doctor quite a few times last year and very rarely did I not get an appointment on the same day or sometimes a telephone appointment if that was more suitable. The team of doctors seem really dedicated and always willing to go the extra mile. The receptionists are very helpful and pleasant. Well run and organized practice.β
βmoved to this surgery about a year ago, and luckily Iβve only needed to book appointments for my baby a couple of times β but both times theyβve gotten us in extremely quickly and have been amazing. Compared to my old doctors, where I had lots of issues, I honestly donβt have a single complaint about this place. The AI phone system can be a bit annoying, but today when I said it was an emergency and asked to speak to staff, it put me straight through to reception and I had an appointment within 30 minutes. I really canβt fault this surgery at all β theyβve been brilliant every time.β
βUsing Google maps to get here on foot, was an absolute mare. It sent me here, there & everywhere. The walk was estimated to take 14 minutes. I'm no novice when it comes to walking, but following google, it took me almost an hour. Never again, I'll go the longer, but easier way thank you. I didn't know what to expect when I got there, as it was my first visit to register, as I'm new to the area. But I was pleasantly surprised at how clean, open & spacious the place is. The staff are extremely helpful, and advised me well, they gave me a clipboard to lean on. They are really informative & friendly, Jeanette was the lady who dealt with my enquiry, she was great. And explained the process of registering step by step. Even gave me directions to get back, that were a 1000% easier than Google maps.β
βI am currently seeing a psychologist to help me with mental health problems I am trying to overcome. I have had the same lady for the past two sessions there and she has been absolutely amazing and so very helpful to me. The whole place is spotless and the receptionist on signing in was very friendly and did make me feel calm. Just wanted pass on my positive past two experiences at the centre. Thank you very much for everything you have done to help me so far. Jonβ
βEveryone is so quick to criticise but no one gives praise where due. Both my husband and myself have received first class treatment from Hungerford. Today I rang at 8 am for an appointment, only had to wait 4 minutes for a reply and was referred to a nurse who rang me back a quarter of hour later. She arranged an appointment for 10 a. m where I was seen by a doctor who prescribed medicine for me and I was back home by 10. 20 a.mMy husband also received great service when he was ill just before Christmas. Thank you to everyone concernedβ
βHaving had a very mixed experience of mental health services over many years, I can recommend Lymebrook purely for how lovely Tasnim Abed is. I feel like she listens and tries hard to understand... what's really going on for you even if you don't know yourself. A compassionate and insightful person is who is needed in this field, and Tasnim does her best to get to the core of the problem(s). A wholesome soul β€οΈ may she be blessed always xβ
βCalled today to book appointment to have bloods done. Receptionist was very professional, pleasant and explained fully the procedure. Thank you.β
