“No parking onsite but there is a car park in the pub next door and a large car park 30 seconds down the road, waited around 5 mins for someone to get our reservation and seat us( this was a Saturday night and busy), after we were seated the service was excellent, lots of drinks to chose from especially whiskey and whiskey flights. The food was too good for words perfectly smoked and seasoned tasted amazing I would highly recommend. Portion sizes were decent too.”

“Absolutely amazing local pub. The canal side location makes it a beautiful place to sit and watch the narrow boats and ducks etc. All of the staff were extremely friendly and always happy to help with all of our dietary requests. The food was incredible! Extremely reasonably priced and the quality was incredible too. “Our family favourite in Nepalese cuisine, this restaurant is a must-visit. We had the pleasure of dining here recently with friend and we were blown away by the delicious mixed grill and momos we had as starters. This was not our first time dining at this restaurant, and we can confidently say that it has consistently delivered delicious food at a great price. Additionally, there is plenty of space for parking, making it a convenient option for those driving in. The ambiance of the restaurant is clean and functional, with no luxury or frills, but it is welcoming and comfortable nonetheless. The service was excellent, with friendly and attentive staff who made sure our dining experience was pleasant.”

“Last minute decision to eat out this evening and fancied a curry. Narvana had been recommended previously by a work colleague. We weren't disappointed. The restaurant was clean and atmospheric, the food was beautiful and fresh with plenty of flavour, not over powered with spices. Portions were bigger than expected, and the naan bread appeared to be homemade which is a rarity. The service was efficient, polite and attentive without being obtrusive. Highly recommended.”

“A beautiful little Place right in the heart of Leek. Easy booking and check in process. We was given codes for entry/access to our accommodation when tea rooms are closed. Plenty of parking locally, reasonably cheap and free after 15.30 on Saturday and free all day Sunday. We found our room very clean and was provided everything for a lovely stay. Bed was comfortable, towels good quality and complimentary showering miniatures. Only slight issue was the TV signal wasn't great, channels not watchable but not a big issue. Staff were all helpful and welcoming in the cosy tea room. We ordered breakfast which was very nice and was pleasantly surprised when told it was in with the cost of the room as we was unaware, nice bonus. Overall we had a lovely pleasant stay and will definitely return. We have since found out they have dog friendly rooms so will be back with our little one.”

“I made a very last minute booking for my son’s birthday. Was surprised to arrive to balloons and banners at the table, and even a complimentary desert for the birthday boy. The staff were attentive and welcoming, and the food was the best we’ve had in a long time! There’s absolutely nothing negative i could say about our visit. We have ordered take out many times but this is our first dining in visit. Will definitely be visiting again soon! Thankyou!”

“We were on the lookout for a spontaneous dinner and drinks spot and were pleased to stumble upon The House of the Rising Sun. From the moment we arrived, the customer service stood out—they made sure we were accommodated even though we didn’t have a reservation. Since it was a last-minute night out, we ended up seated at the high chairs, which were a bit uncomfortable, especially if you’re dressed up (like in a tight shirt dress). The interior design is impressive—stylish and atmospheric, though a little too dim for dining. It feels more like a place that’s tailored for drinks and conversation. One standout feature is the bar with its aquarium-style backsplash—absolutely eye-catching. We tried the Teriyaki Beef and Chicken Katsu. The katsu was excellent—crispy, flavorful, and definitely best enjoyed with rice. The beef, on the other hand, was slightly chewy and not as tender as expected. For drinks, we had the classic Mojito and their signature cocktail, Land of Smiles. The latter was a highlight—refreshing with a unique spicy kick that really elevated the experience. Overall, The House of the Rising Sun is a lovely spot for a date night, especially if you’re after a cozy ambiance and creative cocktails. We’d definitely go back—hopefully with a reservation next time!”

She catered for everyone’s needs superbly - from the youngest 4 year old to my 90 year old father. Thank you so much Hannah for making our family Christmas meal so relaxed. “Seabridge Fish Bar is hands down the best in Newcastle-under-Lyme! Their fish and chips are always cooked to perfection – crispy batter, soft and fluffy inside. But don't even get me started on their kebabs! They take such care to let the excess grease drain off before serving, which makes all the difference. And the staff – Stavro, Jess (Expecially Jess, like tonight (Thurs 7th August), instantly saw my car and started waving at me, so friendly), Paula, and the rest of the team – are always so friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend! They also have great deals on all other meals like, fantastic sausages, brilliant pies, and burgers that are juicier and cheesier!" 11/10!!!!”
