βFabulous location a stones throw from the golf course and cricket ground. Really close to Newcastle and not a million miles from attractions like Waterworld or Alton Towers. The main draw though is the strawberry picking nearby. You cant escape the rural location when the 12 and 13 year old tractor boys walk around. The food though and the decor are first class. Whilst sitting waiting we watched 10 or 12 different meals come out and we could have ate every single one. A big recommendation from me.β
βVickie was an amazing server, super friendly and kind. Food was perfect and so was the atmosphere xox 11/10 10000% recommend and will be backβ
βThe White lion is a hidden gem, I only discovered it recently. Two real ales and all the other lagers you come to expect. It's very clean inside and out, a well kept pub. Food is served but I haven't tried it yet. Large beer garden to the side, and a covered over area with seating. Well worth a visit.β
βLovely, cozy, traditional pub / restaurant, with lovely decor, great, friendly, service, and delicious food. Overall really enjoyable experience taking my elderly mother out (in her wheelchair ... which I was quite dreading, but didn't need to because the Fox & Hounds was 'wheelchair friendly' and (with the help of the lovely staff) the experience was totally stress-free!). So a really special time spent with my mother, who enjoyed her meal immensely! Thank you to all staff at The Fox & Hounds. Totally recommend this pub / restaurant to anyone. And hope to be back there sometime soon myself too!β
βFabulous meal, the best food I've tasted for a long time. Could not fault anything! So much choice, so in the end went for the shallots with ham, the Roast lamb as a main, which just fell off the bone, so tender. And if you fancy a pudding but don't want to be overfaced, go for the small dessert and hot drink. Would definitely go again and recommend.β
βI visited Top of The Hill chippy today and wow what a great meal. Excellent quality, very tasty and served by great friendly staff. The staff were so welcoming and I will definitely be using this chippy again.β
βBest Sunday dinner we have had in a long time! Me and my partner go to lots of places for Sunday dinner and The Queenβs Head tops the lot! Large sizes and the cheesy leeks/ cauliflower cheese was incredible. Staff were really attentive and looked after us throughout our stay. We shall be back and will recommend to friends and family.β
βWe had Tom as our server. Confident and friendly. Made an amazing salted caramel cocktail. Lovely atmosphere, with welcoming staffβ
βDelightful Pet Friendly pub with great views of the Cheshire plains Warm friendly atmosphere Dog treats and dog menu available at the bar. And the food is excellent The staff are really nice and welcoming Will definitely be returningβ
βI have been coming to Nigde for over 30 years! Tried every kebab they do and they are all excellent. I had a large chicken shish the other day and it was honestly sensational!! Will be back!!β
βGreat place, great service but someone has changed their closing time to 1am. We went in and they were lovely and did us a takeaway instead. Top guys buy they close at 11pmβ
βMe and my mum came for the festive meal last night, it was amazing! Food was presented great, tasted amazing and we left absolutely stuffed. We loved every course we had. Thank you for a great night. The staff are so friendly aswell very welcoming.β
βVery delicious, authentic Thai food set in a beautiful pub-like setting (if you're looking for pub food, that would be at the Talbot pub next door). The food appealed to both first timers and fans of Thai food. Service was exceptional, and they were dog-friendly. Couldn't have asked for a better dining experience.β
βWe came across this pub after a day an Alton Towers, when we arrived we was greeted with lovely staff and atmosphere. Ordered some drinks and decided to stay for food. Ordered steak which was cooked to perfection. And a pork schnitzel which was full of flavour. Everything came out piping hot. Ordered 2 sausages for my daughter who doesnβt like peas and chips and they reduced the price for this reason. Lovely wine too. Couldnβt recommend this place anymore. Was our first visit and definitely wonβt be our last!β
βAbsolutely world-class carvery! We live in the North-West, and my in-laws live in the East Midlands, so I was looking for somewhere in-between we could meet up. Fortune smiled on us that day as I picked the New Broom at random, and we've been going back a couple of times a year for the last 5 years. Simply, the best Carvery I have ever had!β
βBeautiful Traditional Pub under new management. Lovely food great athmosphere Defo worth a visit.Dog Friendly added bonus.β
βBeautiful clean pub. Excellent service from the very friendly land lady. Everywhere was clean and well looked after.β
βNot been here in years & went for an anniversary meal after a disappointing holiday away. Main menu a little expensive but 2 for Β£20 offer makes it affordable. Food was outstanding. Hot, fresh & plenty of it - they do not cut portion size for offers like some other places! Service excellent, attentive but not overbearing & no pressure to leave once meal complete. Would highly recommend & my only complaint is about the booking system, which requires card details to book-no problem with this alone but details are held by third party for 24 months which is totally unnecessary & puts our data at risk so would not book in advance & would need to take our chances on the day, as we did today. Will definitely return though, the food is fantastic.β
βThe food was good and plentiful, the staff helpful even though they were busy. Had a bit of a wait due to the amount of people there, but I didn't mind as I wasn't in a rush. The only reason gave 3 *for atmosphere was the large party and kids, it was a little noisy but they left and the volume went down. We then sat outside in the sun to finish our drinks with a cracking view. But a great place to have food and have some meal deals.β
βThat dessert was my joy, my sweetest prize, A symphony of flavours, a feast for the eyes. The lemon tart dazzled, sharp and bright, I saved the lemon top, my last delight. Raspberry sorbet burst, wild and alive, An explosion of taste, it made me revive. And not to forget, with broccoli in view, That steak was pure magicβperfectly too.β
βWent for the first time this week and I've been looking for a good Indian restaurant for a while. I'm veggie, so tried the Paneer Makhani and it was delicious. Unlike other places I've been, this one had plenty of paneer, it was amazing. I had gone to another place and it barely had five cubes, it was ridiculous. I'll definitely return here and I'll order from here, too, in future. Staff were super lovely, too.β
βWell well, this is a textbook definition of a hidden gem! Who'd have thought that a quality Indian restaurant exists in a quaint and nice village as Audley? I went for dinner with very low expectations, but I was in for a surprise. The starters we tried were Prawn Bhuna Puree, Shami Kebab (Lamb) & Chicken Malai Tikka - all 3 were cooked to perfection and the meat was succulent. Highly recommended going for the hot relish, as it's very unique and nice to taste. For main course we had Tandoori Chicken, which was served on a sizzling platter with sliced onions on the sizzling plate as well. The tandoori smell that permeated the restaurant in a lovely way was evident and present in taste in the tandoori chicken pieces; the curry accompaniment was also very good to taste, and very unlike the run off the mill curry sauce usually found at other Indian restaurants. The ambience was very relaxed, with lights just the right brightness, comfortable sitting arrangements, clean toilet. The servers were all warm and welcoming. Overall a very, very good experience and enjoyed a lovely meal at a nice restaurant without any added fuss or loudness after a long time. Totally recommend this to all, and will certainly be visiting more myself. This restaurant certainly seemed to deserve the accolades it shows in Google.β
βThis was my second time here. I really enjoyed it. The decor is industrial with a red brick vaulted ceiling. It looked lovely with the Christmas decorations up. The food is really good. I had a goat's cheese, walnut and pear sandwich on seeded brown bread with coleslaw and fries as extras (shared). Excellent sized portions - and the fries were exceptional!! Very crispy outside, soft inside and very hot. The only negatives are inadequate parking at busy times and the noise level in the restaurant. There are no soft furnishings which makes for a very loud atmosphere. Screeching Christmas partygoers didn't help. I will go back, but not in the weeks leading up to Christmas.β
βGreat night. Great Staff. Great band playingβ
βA great cocktail bar in Nantwich. It is very well decorated and the service is very friendly and welcoming. Tons of cocktails to choose from, all of a high quality!β
βI recently dined at Deadwood Smoke Restaurant and had an incredible experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm, rustic, and inviting β the perfect setting for a relaxing meal. The ambiance really added to the overall experience, with cozy lighting and a laid-back vibe that made it easy to settle in and enjoy the evening. Now onto the food β absolutely amazing! The menu offers a great selection, but the standout for me was definitely the steak. Cooked to perfection, it was tender, juicy, and full of that rich, smoky flavor youβd expect from a place that takes its grilling seriously. You could really taste the quality of the meat and the care put into its preparation. The service was also top-notch. The staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations and checking in just the right amount. Whether youβre a fan of barbecue, a steak lover, or just someone looking for a great place to enjoy a hearty meal with excellent ambiance, Deadwood Smoke Restaurant is a must-visit. Iβm already looking forward to going back and trying more from their menu. Highly recommended!β
βWhat a delightful old pub in Nantwich. The food, the drink and wonderful ambience make this well worth a visit. Brimming with historic charm and a children's policy (over 12s only) which ensures a relaxing visit. I have to commend the landlord on enforcing this. Children are a blessing but I simply want to enjoy my downtime time in peace. To hear the crackle of the large open fire and conversation with my partner over a superb plate of food. Huge well done Darren & team. We will be back very soon!β
βEnjoyed a lovely meal with my husband and two friends. Great choices available on the menu, tasty food and excellent friendly service. Our first visit and we'll definitely be back. NB The upcoming festive menu looks great.β
βFabulous country pub! We just spent a night here in our motorhome and would highly recommend the place. Food was excellent, atmosphere was vibrant, and the staff were polite and helpful. There's something for everyone here, family and dog friendly. Large car park, outside toilets for motorhome stopovers, and lots of space for vans, motorhomes, campers etc. Thank you for a great evening.β
βWe come here every week. Staff are lovely and so dog friendly. Stone has alot if competition on where you can go but we still choose Bear!β
