“Absolutely pristine and delightful. A MUST book. My sister and I came for just a night and the host was lovely. The walk way was candle lit. She made us tea upon arrival, complete with shortbread and treats. Everything was 5 star hotel standards from the smallest detail like the heated towel rack, to the extravagant breakfast. It's all the charm of a B&B with the privacy and perfection of a hotel. Breakfast was incredible. I am a part time vegan, full time vegetarian and my sister is paleo so we can be picky. But, the host customized the menu items for us. The view from the breakfast table is rolling hills with charming cottages. Everything was locally sourced - the Rhubarb jam from the garden (incredible!) the yogurt from local jersey cows, etc. This B&B was the highlight of our entire Ireland and N. Ireland trip. We cannot recommend this more. We're telling our friends and family. So grateful for this hidden gem, we certainly hope to return!”

“Just returned from a wonderful break at The Rocks and would highly recommend. Noel & Cathy are the perfect hosts, friendly, warm and very knowledgeable about the whole area. The breakfasts were nothing short of perfect, keeping us satisfied until late afternoon. And the room was beautiful, comfortable, clean & quiet. We would definitely return. Thank you both for your excellent hospitality!”

“Awesome venue with amazing staff. Was at my cousins wedding, but was late in getting my rsvp, so wasn't going to be having dinner. They were going to set an extra table for just us, but fitted us in, as some people didn't make it. They went out if their way to make us feel welcome”

“Olive and Roger are thoughtful, considerate and very pleasant hosts. The rooms are nicely thought out and equipped. Breakfast was very tasty! The road is semi-busy, particularly at rush hour and trucks go by in the early morning, so it's not as quiet as the neighborhood seems like it should be. But much quieter than in the city centre! Many eateries within a 10-minute walk. The walk into city center is straightforward.”

“The rooms are spotless and pretty. The location is super convenient, very close to the airport but you don’t hear a single plane. Breakfast was delicious and everybody was so very kind. We had a mishap with our rental car company and Charles went out of his way to drive us to the airport and help us. Highly recommend staying here!”

“One of the most charming B&B, I've ever stayed in. Stanley, the owner, welcomed us when we arrived at night. He's a nice and lovely man with great tips on things to see in the area. The room was clean and the decoration was beautiful. We loved it so much that we booked another time. Really a great and quiet place to stay when in Ireland. Well situated too.”

“Don't judge a book by its cover...this really matches with this accomodation! You wouldn't believe how neat, clean and tidy this B&B is just by seeing the house from outside. Karen is a very friendly host and gives you a warm welcome. You get any piece of information you need for your stay. The beds are very comfortable and the bathroom equals those in a five-star-hotel. The breakfast is made of high quality products. We can recommend this place!”

The hosts are amazing and can't do enough for you and the location is ideal 5 min from the airport and the cabin was just luxury. The airport pick up and drop off was so handy. I would 100% recommend this place for a short and long stay. I will be back whenever I'm travelling from Belfast :) !!!”

“Hargreaves House, hosted by Pauline and Ambrose, is an absolutely perfect place to stay while investigating the wonders of Northern Ireland. Looking out at the Bay of Bangor, the house is nestled on a quiet one-way street frequented by joggers. The room was cozy and comfortable with everything you could need. It's a short train ride to Belfast, thus avoiding parking hassles. Drive the coast and explore castles, the picturesque villages, and still be back before dark. Pauline and Ambrose are the kindest, most genuine ambassadors of Northern Ireland. Their recommendation for the Black Cab tour of the troubles with Mark could not have been more spot on. He was exceptional! Their pub and restaurant recommendations took away so much guesswork and were outstanding. Breakfast was lavish with fresh squeezed juices, homemade marmalade, and the best of a traditional Irish breakfast. At the end of the first day on our two night stay, my wife got her clothes and coat muddy when she slipped investigating Torr Head. Pauline and Ambrose went above and beyond to have them laundered for us while lending my wife a sweater to use in Belfast. Hospitality, kindness, and comfort make Hargreaves House second to none.”

“Stayed here a couple of nights with my wife and our 5-year old daughter. Very charming place in a quiet setting, with nice rooms. But the host, Louise, is the one who made our short stay memorable. She's a genuinely lovely person who makes you feel very welcome. We were a wee bit late checking out, but Louise made no mention of it and didn't make us rush or anything. In fact, she chatted with us for quite a bit even once we had checked out and showed us the room in the converted attic which can accommodate 5-6 people. Absolutely our go-to accommodation the next time we're planning a holiday to any nearby area.”

“This was my first time at Streamvale pods and I thought it was amazing. Everything was provided for us and the pod was neat and clean. It was so cozy and relaxing I could’ve stayed for a week! The hot tub was all ready for us arriving and they also gave us free hot chocolate supplies. As well as this we were provided with milk, orange juice, yogurts, wheaten bread, soda bread, oats and wee spreads such as jam and butter all for our breakfast in the morning or a snack throughout the day !”

“We got married at Brookhall last summer and had a really special day in intimate surroundings with family and close friends. This is the perfect place for a unique, personal, relaxed wedding all in one spot if you want to avoid the standard corporate hotel event. We hired the cottages for family and friends, had family dogs there throughout the day and enjoyed the beautiful gardens, lake and wildflower meadow for photos. Rosemary and Pauline were so helpful, supportive and accommodating throughout, gave us lots of suggestions and contacts from caterers and bar service providers to events decorators. Everyone commented that ours was one of the most relaxed weddings they had attended and no doubt the Brookhall team made that possible. We would definitely recommend Brookhall and will always have fond memories of Rosemary, Pauline and our special day.”

“Fantastic place to stay. Spotlessly clean and a delicious homemade breakfast. Room was spacious, warm and tastefully decorated. Gillian was warm and friendly and gave us great tips for places to eat in the village. Handy to Dublin, Belfast and Lisburn due to close proximity to the A1. 20 minute walk or 3 mins in the car to the heart of Hillsborough village. Loads of things to do and see in the village.”

“We stayed here for 4 nights last week. We loved it! The hotel celebrates people important to the area. We stayed in the John Cleaver suite (we got upgraded). The room and adjoining bathroom was beautiful. The owner has obviously put a great deal of thought and care into this hotel. I loved that it's not got a corporate identity and the quirkiness of it. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was incredible, with so much choice, we've never seen such a decadent breakfast in a hotel. Drinks and entertainment are available in the lounge in the evenings. We didn’t take advantage of this, purely because I have ME (chronic fatigue syndrome) and I needed to rest early in the evenings ahead of the next day's activities. Situated minutes from a bus stop for buses into the city. The hop on, hop off tour buses stop outside too. We had a wonderful stay - first time to Belfast but we will return!”
