“We had a lovely prosecco afternoon tea Tuesday for my birthday which my friend brought me. The ladies were very friendly, we couldn't eat all our lovely cakes so brought them back in a box. While we waited for our food, he kindly offered my child a free drink, which was such a thoughtful gesture. The atmosphere felt inviting and genuine—like being welcomed into someone’s home. It’s rare to find this level of hospitality, especially where we live in Germany. We truly appreciated the kindness and wish we lived closer so we could come back more often!”

“Scrupulously clean shop and very friendly customer service. Top marks. Freshly fried falafel was light and easy to eat. I prefer it with more herbs & spices in the mix and tahini sauce (which surprisingly they don't offer) but it was still pretty good and @£4 for a loaded and filling sandwich, excellent value. I'll be back with my own tahini and green chilli&coriander sauce! The baklava was also very fresh and quite tasty. I shall spread the word!”

The chips are golden, plentiful, and retain a perfectly crisp exterior—a triumph of frying oil technology. ​Service & Philosophy ​The service at Cliffords operates on a beautiful, Zen-like principle: "It’ll be ready when it’s ready, and not a moment before." This is not slow service; this is forced meditation. It encourages mindfulness, prompting you to truly appreciate the simple things, like the sound of the kettle boiling, or the sight of the same local fisherman reading the same local paper he was reading yesterday. When your mug of tea arrives—a brew so robust it could probably strip wallpaper—you feel a profound sense of accomplishment. ​If you require chrome finishes, silent service, or a charging port at every seat, you misunderstand the assignment. “I been to the one in tyseley and enjoyed the food their, then they moved their branch to ladypool road. I had the lambo which was chicken steak my meal cost £17.90 as I got the large size and a mocktail. as a nice gesture they give you a dipping tray and nachos to try out the unique sauces to pick for your dishes, I picked the Naga mustard flavour for my steak. The food was really nice, only issue I had was the place was kind of stuffy during the hot days and surprisingly the place seems quiet compared to how it use to be in tyseley so highly recommended to try. The lighting is kind of dark so not sure if that puts people off when walking past. And the large portion doesn't seem large.”

“Had the Bottomless Brunch here as a birthday treat, and we received great service from start to finish. It was my first time here so wasn’t sure what to expect but we really enjoyed it. A few more dishes could be added to the menu but what we had was delicious. We also had 2 cocktails each and a bottle of Prosecco on the table. I’m sure they would have bought us another bottle if we could have finished it but we were taking it slow due to a heavy one the night before! Definitely recommend and would come again!”

“I have been visiting the salon for a number of years and I cannot recommend highly enough. The salon itself is gorgeous and you tell a lot of time and effort has gone into adding all the finishing touches. I have my manicures and spray tans with Jennie and always leave feeling amazing! They only use the highest quality products, which really last (my current manicure has been on almost 3 weeks and still looks like new!) Chantal and all the girls always go out of their way to make you feel welcome - I wouldn't go anywhere else.”

“I have been to this restaurant 4 times in the last month. It is amazing. Service is second to none. Even though its always very busy, including birthday parties, the food quality is perfect and so is the service. The drink service is very efficient too. Even if you want a drink/cocktail not on the menu they still do it for you.”

“Absolutely gorgeous restaurant with very friendly staff who were incredibly attentive and nothing was any trouble. Food and drinks arrived quickly and were served beautifully. One of the best meals I’ve had in a restaurant so can not recommend more. Will definitely be returning when I’m next in pershore. Prawns were perfectly cooked and the coconut rice is a must try! Paid around roughly £30 per person for 7 of us including drinks!”

“All the staff are amazing especially Davis, Sonia, Mimi & several others. Everyone is super pleasant, always go over and above to make you feel comfortable. You never have to wait long for your food or drinks. I’m a regular goer and honestly I love this cafe. It’s very family orientated, whether you go with a bunch of friends, family or by yourself you never feel lonely in there. Everyone is super kind. The coffee is super fresh and really tasty, as for the food don’t even get me started. I have tried many such as the jacket potatoes with salad, the porridge with cinnamon, honey and banana, the kale smoothies from time to time and all the food I have tried is fresh and really nice. They always take pride in providing fresh food which is always presented to such a high standard. The staff are a blessing and in a place where the overall area isn’t the best this place is deffo doing erdington justice. They focus a lot on the community and it is really nice to have something like this in the erdington area.”

“Been a few weeks since I visited this delightful little restaurant and only got round to writing a review. Sorry it took so long. What can I say... amazing authentic Japanese, Thai, Korean Chinese food made fresh to order with fresh ingredients and bursting with flavours.  Not many of these halal options around and for the ones I've tried its hands down one of the best I've been to in Birmingham. Now has seating and is beautifully done up in side. To top it off its complimented with a welcoming team and excellent friendly customer service. “Went on a wintry Monday so it was unsurprisingly empty but we got a great feed and a warm welcome. The tasting menu was generous to a fault but all of the elements were delicious. The tandoori was used masterfully giving everything a comforting smokiness whilst letting the unique flavours and textures of the meat shine through. The prawns were especially plump, juicy and delicious. The butter chicken was had great depth and really let the tomatoes do the work of providing this, so often it's just a creamy bland effort but this has really pronounced flavour. All of the other curries met this high standard. Brilliant. Well done.”

“Good portions and absolutely tasty food. Nice blend of spices which you can feel everytime you have a bite. There is also a small Shisha place around the back where we spend most of our time with mint tea and Baklava which is must try. Good customer service and definitely go back again.”

“Great little gem, friendly staff and all food is cooked to perfection. I particularly love their own Rafters chips which are the best chips in Rubery if not the West Midlands..nice and crunchy on the outside (never greasy) and light & fluffy inside.”
