“We celebrated our daughter’s 18th birthday at The Lounge and i have to say the place was amazing. The staff and management were fantastic and catered for all our needs. “Went for a birthday meal on Tuesday 25th June. We were seated upstairs. The staff were very friendly, warm and welcoming. The tapas dishes we had were all delicious especially the pork belly each dish were flavoursome had 6 dishes in total between the 2 of us. We also ordered pratas bravas, chorizo, harissa chicken, casa med salad and bread with balsamic and oil. It was very filling so had no room for desert. With the 15% it was well worth it. I was pleasantly surprised how much it was so I recommend going on a Tuesday. This is the place to go for a special occasion.”

You can really tell that the chefs take pride in their cooking. The fish was another highlight — fresh, perfectly seasoned, and grilled just right. It honestly melted in the mouth. It’s rare to find a place that nails both meat with such consistency, but Merrymaid absolutely does. The service was top-notch throughout our visit. , the food came out hot and fresh, and the servers were attentive without being intrusive. What really impressed me, though, was the personal touch — the owner, Ranjit, personally came over to our table to ask how everything was. That kind of attention and care speaks volumes about how much pride he takes in his restaurant and how much he values his customers. It’s not just a meal here — it’s an experience. Everything about this place says quality — from the cleanliness of the restaurant to the presentation of the food and the friendly, family-like vibe that makes you want to stay longer. We had a cocktail each which were both top quality, although I wish they sold lassi here. Food was beautiful, it felt a lot more authentic than your typical Indian restaurant. If you don't handle spice very well then maybe ask for recommendations as it's on the hotter side, masala chips were very spicy. Different dishes to choose from, the selection was great. Very much enjoyed it although quite pricey, came to nearly £90 for two. Would return if I was in the area”

“As a limitless customer for over 2 years now we do visit this cinema a lot and I must say the whole experience is fantastic. It looks very futuristic inside and being a luxe offers that extra level of comfort whilst watching your film. The screen s are huge and the sound quality is great too. The staff are very friendly and polite and the toilets are very clean indeed. Certainly worth a visit if you are in the area and want to watch a movie. There is also 3 hours of free parking which is a big car park underneath the cinema itself. Just make sure you validate your car registration when you are in the cinema. Highly recommended”

“First time I came here to celebrate my friend’s 60th birthday. Very easy to find, right opposite pigeon park, where St Philip’s Cathedral is. Name of restaurant is big and clear, and can’t be missed. I arrived early and was greeted by Astrida, who was lovely! I was holding a big bunch of flowers, which she kindly put away for me and she instantly made me feel very welcome. Tamarah was also very friendly. As I sat and waited for my friends to arrive, I was approached by every member of staff, who asked me if I wanted a drink whilst I was waiting. The customer service was just brilliant! The interior of the restaurant is very stylish and the toilets are posh! The only negative comment I have is that I ordered a main meal (I can’t remember what it was called, but it was newly added to the menu - pasta, white sauce). The proportion of this meal was not enough for it to be served as a main meal. It was something you would expect if you ordered a starter. Proportions of other meals might be ok, but not for this meal. I will still give this restaurant 5 stars as we had a great time, but please take my comments on board, as customers want good value for money.”

“Cherry Reds is a hidden gem! Lovely traditional Cafe Bar with nice decor and a cosy atmosphere. Menu selection is extensive and includes a wide variety of vegan/vegetarian options alongside traditional English food and drinks. The Diddy Breakfast was excellent quality and tasted delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful. An added bonus is the selection of cask and keg ales available. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Birmingham!”
