“The whole meal was perfect. The atmosphere was good even after it getting very busy very fast. The service was top notch, especially Pavel! He was our server for the night and was very patient and inviting the whole time. He was slow to reach our table due to the massive crowd in the restaurant but when he did come to us he listened intently and did everything we asked for, He never left any requests hanging. everything we ordered was cooked perfectly and our requests were taken into account. would definitely visit again! thank you Pavel!”

“I’ve been going to Polo Pasta for over a decade. What makes me go back? Great food, great prices (despite being in the city centre) and welcoming owners / staff. The food is tasty and filling which is exactly what you want for a lunchtime meal. I wholeheartedly recommend that you visit whenever you’re in the city centre. The food will not disappoint.”

“Had a wonderful night at Cielo, visited with my friend on Saturday night. We shared a seafood trio starter and also had artisan bread board, went well together. We both loved it, had couple of coctails, my champagne coctail was delicious, but sadly my friend wasn't too keen on their strawberry daiquiri. We also had mains, lamb trio main course and spaghetti bolognese, I loved my lamb very much, pasta was tasty,good...but not blowing my mind, although presentation was nice. Also wanted to say thank you to our lovely French waitress. Sadly I forgot to ask her name, but she was super attentive and looked after us very well:) we will definitely return.”

“We came here on Wednesday with our toddler. I had to leave a review because our waitress was so lovely. I didn't catch her name but she gave so much attention to our little girl, who kept shouting "lady!" across the room at her. Every time she walked past she spoke to her, my little girl even gave her a hug when we left as she was made to feel so welcome. The food was lovely, fresh and hot - bit expensive for what it is but that's just chain restaurants in general these days. There was a nice atmosphere with people chatting and laughing, much busier than expected mid week. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, it's a shame we don't love closer!”

“When we went in (approx 1pm on a weekday) it was empty except for us. Restaurant was very clean, staff were polite and friendly. Our server guided us through downloading the app so that we essentially got a 50% discount on our total bill, which was great. Food came quickly and was tasty. Good value for money, would go again. There are some disabled spaces on the street for parking, just round the corner, or if you walk about 5 minutes you will find two different parking areas.”

“My wife had quite a few Tesco Clubcard vouchers to spend, so she converted them and treated us to lunch here. From the Romana section of the menu, we opted for four Pizzas. The Calabrian Feast which had 'nduja, Calabrese sausage, pepperoni, pancetta, and a slight chilli kick. The Padana, which had goat's cheese, caramelised onions, and spinach. The Garlic Prawn which was pretty much what the name suggested. The Funghi di Bosco, which was a mushroom laden offering. For me, all of them were great, but the Calabrian Feast and the Padana were by far the best. For drinks, I had a can of PizzaExpress Birthday Brew beer, and the rest opted for a litre bottle of Acqua Panna Still Mineral Water. The beer wasn't as nice as their regular own-brand one, but I had to try it as it was limited edition for their 60th anniversary. Our server was great with us. She put the vouchers through to cover the food (they don't accept them for drinks), and then it turned out I also had a gift card from work, so she put that through too to cover most of the drinks. I paid for the small remaining amount and a tip on my credit card, but not before I made a silly mistake on the terminal and she had to go back to reset it. She had the patience of a saint!”

“Whenever I’m working in this area of Birmingham I always pop into this cafe for something to eat. I highly recommend the mega massive breakfast wrap which is huge! Always does me for breakfast & lunch. Haven’t tried anything else as yet but I’m sure I will at some point, definitely a hidden gem opposite the beeches pub.”

“Bustling place with fast and friendly service. Super veggie options - the glass noodle veggie soup was superb. Hot and spicy, tangy and tasty. And the hand pulled noodle veggie soup was excellent too -asked for some spice to snaz it up a bit. Generous portions. Don't wear white.”

“My daughter has had take away pasta from here on a number of occasions and enjoyed it so we decided to come & eat in, we ordered penne arrabiatta with olives & chilli, the German donnor kebab & a woodfired pizza. All the food was delicious, the kebab was lovely and the meat was just delicious, not like the stuff from the chippy, nice fresh salad & really enjoyed the sesame bread. The pasta was OK, something i could easily do at home but my daughter really enjoyed it, she requested extra parmesan & was given in abundance, the pizzas are lovely, cooked in a traditional pizza oven, great variety of toppings & combinations. The milkshakes are quite small for the price but overall we were all satisfied. Service was great, especially the young man that bought our food to the table, he's an asset so polite and helpful.”

The mushrooms perfectly sauced, broccoli that sent me back for more (super tasty), the black bean sauce, the duck in plum sauce... Goodness, it was a delightful journey. Well worth the money.
