“Best Indian food for miles... good prices and great selection including soy tikka. Good range of beers including Butty Bach real ale and Cobra lager. Big TV screens to watch the big match too. Ignore the previous negative comments about not having Bathan's ales... yes, they don't but Butty Bach is just as good.”

“Popped into the White Lion at lunchtime break following recommendations from friends and I was not disappointed. Lovely place and the service from Becky was excellent nothing too much trouble. The White Lion burger was just amazing best in city centre. The place itself had a lovely atmosphere and a unique look and feel. Would wholeheartedly encourage everyone to visit and you will return time after time as I will be.”

“Had just flown/took train all the way from Vancouver and felt absolutely horrid. It was late and we were hungry and not in the best of moods....our server Christian turned it all around for us with his amazing attitude and spectacular service! We are dairy free and this is usually a challenge wherever we go...but not here. Fantastic options were already available and then he went the extra mile speaking to the chef and making notes on our Hyatt room to ensure we were well cared for during our stay. Really delicious proper fish and chips and kind care made all the difference. Slept like lambs after all that. Very grateful.”

“What a lovely pub tonight I found myself in a bit of a mess driving back from South Wales ended up having to come off the motorway because of an accident somehow found myself lost with no battery on my phone the lovely landlady of this pub helped me out charged my phone so I could call my partner and let people know I was safe such a lovely welcoming pub I shall return when I find myself in studley again if I could give more stars I would.thank you for all your help amazing pub and amazing people.”

“Nice food and atmosphere as always. This time some of the food was slightly burnt from the grill but it was really busy in the pub and also my previous experience was always good so I can accept this little issue as an accident due to the lot of customers. Highly recommended!”

“my dad used to drink in this pub so now and again I'd pop in to see him..well what a difference pub it is now beautiful inside and out and had a warm feel to it there was a very good dj on and was lovely to see everyone dancing and enjoying them selfs staff were friendly and quick to serve u I will definitely be going back! nice to know u dont need to go in to town to have a good nite.there also bounces on the door so u feel safe”

Every Saturday they have a multi instrumentalist/singer who goes by the name of 10 Guitars (check him out on spotify/youtube, he's bloody brilliant!) who performs cover songs from a wide range of genres and decades whilst switching between different instruments and on Saturdays the same guy hosts a very entertaining karaoke night! Beer is great and doesnt break the bank either!!!”

“We literally just stopped outside as we were rambling past on our canal circular. Owner was happy for us to use the seating and the loos. Very pleasant and place was spotless inside. I'm stopping for lunch next time.”

“We dined here before attending a performance at the Town Hall. So it was quite quiet at 5pm but it was nice and cosy and we were very well looked after. We had the early bird set menu which was very good value and was delicious. We'll definitely return for pre-show meals!”

“Popped over to Harvester Arden oak to have some food with the other half. I have never had bad service here but tonight's was the best by far. We were looked after by Maisey and Lucas. Both very professional, polite and made the experience very comfortable. Please pass on our comments and the fact they provided such an experience over the festive period that I know can be stressful is brillaint. Thank you, we look forward to our next visit :)”
