βLocal charm, delicious Sunday Roast, and extremely friendly staff. 10/10 recommend! The mint and horseradish sauces were tasty additions!β
βWe had one of the best Sunday roasts ive ever had here. It was a huge plate of food but i couldnβt leave any of it! The head chef was also eating there and was a friendly guy, who accommodated our fussy requests! 10/10. Canβt wait to go back again.β
βYum. Fantastic food for a reasonable price and lovely staff. The menu is extensive and has a surprisingly large amount of vegetarian options for a fry up diner. In short, if I could eat here every day for every meal, I would.β
βOk. Letβs start saying that I went to this place with very little expectation to find Sicilian street food, contrary wise this place exceeded my expectations. A precious little place in duke street that stand out for all the competitors in the street. I went safe for coffee and cake and it was ever so good that I decided to have an arancino al pistacchio after, and I was literally transported to Sicily with the flavours of the food. At the exit I managed to compliment myself with Davide the owner of the place, which was exquisite. His passion is clearly expressed into the food and the attention to details. I would not hesitate to come back for a coffee and cake, quick or long lunch, an aperitivo or a nice traditional unique Sicilian meal out. Ideal for everyone, from kids to adult and wheelchair friendly with ground floor access and tables. The unpretentiousness of this place makes it ideal for a solo meal as well as a romantic date to impress. Sicilian typical product also available to buy at the counter....not to be missed the βCrema al pistacchioβ. In conclusion, this place is a must go either if you are Italian or not, and you will easily spot why is second to none. So far the best βaranciniβ in Brighton.β
βYou can't come to Brighton without visiting this iconic hotel. We sat in the bar and had an afternoon snack. BLT | Toasted bread, streaky bacon. gem luttuce. homemade Β£14. Smoked salmon & tiger prawn. iceburg lettuce, avocado. lemon. Β£16. And two pots of tea. Thought the prices were quite reasonable for such an impressive hotel. The service was good and we especially like it here as you can sit with your dogs.β
βFavourite pub in the area, one of the few old fashioned boozers. Absolutely fabulous landlady and landlord who are just a pleasant to be round. Have been bringing my football team here for a few years now. The Battle was once renowned as the avoid at all costs pub, but the pair have brought the good vibes back again!β
βHonest, tasty, cooked in small batches food (some dishes might be off the menu, worth asking what is not available). Competitive prices (especially on drinks). Had sauerkraut soup, pork ribs & goulash. All delish ! Give them a try you won't be disappointed. Clean premises. Service was speedy &polite. Polish & English spoken.β
βThe best place BY FAR for drinks and snacks at the station. Great selection of cakes, sandwiches, drinks (including alcohol) Eat/drink in the place, or tske aeay. Real tea.β
βBest kebab in Shoreham! I had an amazing experience at Shoreham Charcoal Grill! The kebabs were absolutely delicious β perfectly cooked, flavorful, and served with fresh salads and warm pitta bread. The quality of the meat really stood out, and everything tasted authentic and made with care. The staff were friendly and efficient, and my order arrived quickly and piping hot. This is definitely my go-to spot for kebabs in Shoreham. Highly recommend to anyone craving a tasty, satisfying meal!β
βStopped by for a quick half and to use the toilet. Was a quiet little local boozer in the afternoon, didn't have food so couldn't review. Looks like they do burgers and roasts aswell as karaoke nights. Gents toilets were ok, didn't smell particularly or anythingβ
βFriendly welcome, full of locals enjoying the warmth, along with the tasty food and drink.β
βMy partner and I took a chance and entered this venue which was surprisingly quiet. The menu had brunch items which were appealing. We chose our table, the decor was really cool, servers were exceptionally friendly and when the food came out, it was excellent. Reasonably priced and great quality. Served with a smile. Thanks guys and gals, a real pleasure.β
βEver been to High Brooms? No, me neither. Until today. Sunday Roast tourism takes you all round the houses. Todayβs pit stop the Leicester Arms. Tip of the day: Pay the taxi fare before youβre out of signal range. The pub sits slap bang in the middle of Penshurst. Albeit Penshurst is so small it doesnβt really have a start or an end. In essence youβre between Penshurst House and Gardens and the Post Office, and opposite the town hall. The building is rustic with a warm village feel both outside and inside. Staff friendly, good toilet artwork and whole rolls of bog paper rather than the stingy dispenser nonsense - always a plus. Anyway, the roast. Oval plates that lip up at the sides with gravy up to a circa 2mm waterline leaving the hull of the potatoes and vegetables submerged. Two hearty slices of juicy pink sirloin and a Yorkshire pudding athletically perched on top. If art exists to be appreciated ad infinitum this installation was ripped apart in minutes. Devoured. 90 mins of travelling and an eating time shorter than a F1 pit-stop. Worth the visit? 100%. Washed down with a brownie that was warm, satisfyingly sludgy and had a thick slate of white chocolate inside. Lovely surprise. The menu quoted Β£8.50 the bill read Β£10. No complaints though, I would have paid Β£11 for it. All in a good day out.β
βJust revisited after a range of improvements have been made by the new owners. The hotel/bar/restaurant has a much better flow to it now and the bedrooms have been decluttered, leading to a much better look, with a place now for your luggage. Rooms seem really good value for the area. Would definitely come back again.β
βThe first item on the menu is the hoisin duck pizza. No need to read any further, it's flipping delicious!!! Their prices are fair and the service is just right.β
βNatalie the Front of House Representative was so courteous to my Mum and I who required Special Assistance while we waited in the virtual cue to be allowed entry. Once we were in the lounge Natalie guided us to where the hot meal counter is and checked on us to ensure we were comfortable. Thank you for such a warm welcome at one of our favorite lounges in South Terminal!β
βPopped in for lunch after a lovely dog walk along the river. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We chose two courses from the lunch menu which was absolutely divine. I would recommend the food as it was first class. Will be coming again soon.β
βReasonable price, and service was perfect. Enjoyed the meal and loved vegetrian food served with tofu and spanich! Also I liked that the restuarant had an air-conditioner so that indoor dining was also nice! I tried to review for server for his kindness in the official website but it kept showed error..β
βOMG !! Why canβt I leave 6 stars ??? Anna, Lauren and the team absolutely Smashed Christmas out of the parkβ¦..AGAIN !!! The children getting to see the reindeer and Santa Claus was so special. Memories that will last a lifetime were made and we as a family canβt Thankyou enough for how special it has made Christmas. Please please do this again next year. We are showing friends and family who would all want to come. Thankyou xβ
βLove this place. Cheap beer and a very relaxed vibe. Live music occasionally and some special offers on a Friday.β
βThank you Hove Place for a wonderful Christmas lunch! Here goes a gushing reviewβ¦ Today my partner and I had booked in for Christmas Day lunch and it didnβt disappoint. We thought the Β£145 price per person was a bit steep (especially as there was a Β£6 supplement on the steak), but weβve eaten in there before so we were confident it wouldnβt disappoint, and it didnβt! Firstly, we were greeted warmly by all of the staff, I thought they might be a little jaded after the first lunch sitting, but they were all full of energy and festive cheer. We enjoyed every single course; I loved my venison starter and the Christmas pudding dessert. We both agreed that the turkey was the best weβve both ever eaten. Neither of us are huge turkey fans and I only eat it once a year at Christmas and generally regret it. We were served one thick slice of turkey each, in a stack with stuffing and a Yorkshire pudding, so we both anticipated to experience a mouthful of dry meat. How wrong we were; it was succulent and moist (yes I said that word). The food came out a good pace and the service from the lovely Courtney, our waitress, was great. The ambience of the pub is perfect for Christmas so weβre definitely going back again.β
βThey have an excellent Christmas menu selection. The roast turkey comes with all the trimmings. They have a good selection of Sussex wines and an adequate range of international wines - most of which are available by the glass in a range of glass sizes. We were served by Esme, who could not have been more attentive and helpful. The Sunday lunchtime crowd included several families and larger groups, resulting a lot of happy chattering. We appreciated their Christmas selection of cocktails and coffees.β
βGreat experience/meal here. I would especially note how good the staff were. Very on it with everything and extremely friendly and professional. 10/10. One very tiny critisism is the nacho sharing platter is a bit smaller than it used to be but it was still enough for 2 people. Still it doesn't take away from the lovely experience. Prices are decent, good service. What more can you want. Thanks very muchβ
βWhat a fun place to stumble upon whilst driving past. The staff dress up in cowboy outfits and the Halloween decor was really fun the kids loved it. Good food, kids enjoyed the pizza and the burgers were tasty. Refillable drinks is good too. It is on the pricier side.β
βReally vibey pub. The staff were all very friendly and the place looked very clean. I loved that they had board games to play. The menu was great and included a heap of vegetarian options. The food was delicious as well as their drinks. I definitely would recommend to anyone who is in Horsham.β
βAmazing experience at Cote Tunbridge Wells. Hosted my daughterβs 9th K Pop themed party upstairs in the private dining room - couldnβt fault it. Mocktails, amazing food, amazing atmosphere, amazing service. She has the best birthday ever, as did her friends. Cristina and the team are exceptional.β
βVery good place. We loved the food and drinks (chateaubriand plus Malbec). Beautiful interior as well.β
βLovely refurb of the Palmiera! Lovely and fresh with some nice arty touches. Great deals for for food and drinks. Free pool on Tuesdays and lots of sport available. Fun for kids and a great spacey garden space out back too. Lovely friendly staff !β
βI was in Brighton for 9 days, and found myself returning to this lovely pub, 3 times! The food was so top notch tasty. Great vibe, friendly service, great gin selection. Attracts a nice crowd as well. If I lived here, it would be my local for sure!β
βThis place is a Hove staple, itβs beautiful inside, with amazing chandeliers and a beautiful bar. They run a consistently great Jazz night and the bar is always full of good mix of ages and people. I had Thai food here a long time ago, it is a good standard of pub Thai and very reasonableβ
