βExcellent lunch service today, this lovely young man called Micheal did a fantastic job and was very friendly, great service. And Lois who was in the kitchen made food so quickly I was in shock haha!! All around amazing and lovely food was very happy!! Would definitely recommend and think these two need a raise!!β
βAbsolutely fantastic place. Would highly recommend to anyone thinking of going. Staff there are all lovely and so politeβ
βWe stayed overnight and loved it. The room was really comfortable and had a nice view over the river. The pub serves really good food and the staff are really friendly. It is also dog friendly which was great as we had our pup with us. Will definitely stay here again!β
βGood quiz - great fun with the friends with which I chose to attend. Business cards are of high quality. They sell beer here. Only one full of unbridled spite could possibly in earnest leave a bad review of this establishment.β
βI've been in here a quite few times, and I really enjoyed the mango sunrise drink. It's very refreshing. Food is good very tasty, with lots of places to sit down or a few seating areas outside on a nice sunny day. Definitely recommend popping in and having lunch it's really lovely. Definitely going back to try other food and drinks.β
βLovely garden centre at the top end of Bath with fair prices too. Lots of choice and free advice from the friendly staff, worth signing up for the extras you get at checkout ! Big car park down the hill so don't think it's full when pulling into the entrance.β
βThree of us arrived for Friday evening supper. Young but very attentive serving staff, who looked after us beautifully. We started with the sharers board with a side of the crispy chicken. This was followed by a signature burger which was well cooked, good onion rings and crispy chips. We also had the fish and chips, we decided to have the extra bread and butter and scampi, we probably wouldnt do that again. The fish was tasty and well cooked. The final meal was the smothered chicken. This was rather over cooked and dry but a good flavour. I probably just had bad luck. The pub is welcoming and you are always comfortable there. It suits all ages, the parking is good the location is amazing. I would certainly recommend it.β
βGreat spot in central Bath with a lovely courtyard away from traffic and near the river. Very popular before rugby with the ground right next doorβ
βReally lovely little pub/hotel. Was slightly dated building so the room we had on the third floor shook when a big vehicle drove past, but the traffic died down in the evening. Was a good accomodation and would stay again. Drinks and food were good tooβ
βThis pub was very convenient to our hotel, so we visited a few times during our stay in Bath. Lots of little rooms and seating options. My friend loved the Greene King mac and cheese.β
βHad Christmas dinner here today. From start to finish the service was amazing, attentive but not intrusive. The food was amazing and very generous portions. Great atmosphere, thoroughly recommendβ
βA great place for people watching. Large outdoor patio. Limited indoor seating. No food that Iβm aware of. Like everyone else says βgood Guinness.β
βGreat food and drinks, comfortable space for a family! We had burguer (meat and chicken) and fish and chips, all were Fab and delicious! Prices were fair. See menu attached.β
βThe food was absolutely lovely, came out in good time and hot too. My sister was impressed as well. Me and the family are thinking of coming near Christmas for the festive menu. Very impressed. Great service too.β
βFirst visit today, it was very good. Very clean, friendly staff, fun disco area. We had a great time.β
βGreat little Pub under new management from experienced landlords. Excited to see the potential it has over the next year!β
βA Boozer for the serious Cider drinker. Spit & sawdust pub. No frills. Friendly Pub. Locals make you feel welcome. Bar Staff great. Β£2.75 for Cheddar Valley which was a really great pint and I do mean that. Will go back for more.β
βLovely play area with green to play football if you take some duck food there are plenty of ducks to feed alsoβ
βVery good. During Summer months, one can sit outside on tables and chairs in the Precinct and have a cake & cup of tea. One can buy Bread, cakes, of various kinds of pies. One only comment. Just wish one could purchase various kinds of bread, rather than sort. In saying this, the quality is fresh & pleasant to eat.β
βFriendly staff. You have to wait a bit as walk in but that's to be expected. Main car park is tricky but overflow car park is fine. Hema the nurse practitioner was excellent. Keep doing what you're doing.β
βThis weekend I went to into the woods festival with two of my mates was having a bit of food when I realised I couldnβt check in until 2pm a huge mistake on my behalf and I called the hotel in distress they kindly allowed me to drop my stuff off and have a showe 2 and a half hours before I was meant to arrive with no extra charge the room was perfect for the three of us and no noise distribution. I rarely leave reviews but this is one of the kindest encounters I have ever had and would like to thank everyone at the kings head couldnβt recommend enough hopefully will see you again next year! Unfortunately I am not able to leave a review for my room on booking.com so had to do it here.β
βA quick stop and we'll deserved treat! Bit of a queue, but staff are hard and fast working and order was correct. I do like this branch.β
βReally nice chicken kebab. On takeaway night this is one of our favourites.β
βBeautiful food had the Whitchurch special kebab and all I can say is wow! First time trying to was pleasantly surprised! Full of flavour not heavy on the stomach at all and loads of food to share around, the lamb was incredible, definitely so happy with this place Iβm glad I ordered on a whim, best kebab I ve tried around here! 10/10β
βMore great food just delivered and eaten. Never had a bad meal from here, whatever we order. Always arrives piping hot, friendly delivery drivers (hope they are getting a share of the tips paid online ). Fish and chips are great and 1 portion of chips is plenty to share. Curry sauce and mushy peas are great too. Also just had a shish and doner wrap and it was hot and really tasty. All the salad was fresh and crispy and again, huge portion. Would highly recommend.β
βLovely local pub, with a big beer garden and very friendly.β
βNot many staff , so a bit slow but other than that , very goodβ
βI get my husbands rolls here every week they are fantastic. Cheap and very fresh and full. I haven't eaten in here but when I have been in getting the rolls the good looks fab. The landland lady is warm and friendly. There seems to be always some entertainment going on. The pub could however do with a freshen up (paint and furniture) but still a nice place to eat and drink.β
