“Lovely Italian restaurant had the £8.95 pizza and beer or soft drink the pizza was delicious and covered in topping and the chef was very friendly .My husband said it was the best pizza he had every eaten for freshness/topping/authentic tasting and believe me when I say he has eaten hundreds of pizzas”

“Fabulous breakfast! Their fried eggs on sour dough was very really good as well as thee Penidict w mushrooms. Had a nice Shakshuka with arabic bread, perfect. Their milk base coffee drinks and tea were super. The staff was so friendly, and the overall atmosphere and people was something, loved all.”

“I booked the Fairwater Pub's function room for my sisters birthday recently and it was amazing. All of the staff were welcoming and friendly from the moment I started setting up to the very end of the night. The communication between myself and the Landlady and Landlord was smooth and very clear. They offered me tables and let me lay out the room how I felt best. They let us have a DJ there and our own catering. The price for the room was amazing and I would recommend it to anyone. I would defiantly go back and I can't thank them enough! Happy smiles all around”

“The Cross Inn is a hidden gem in Cardiff! Stopped by recently and was really impressed. The pub has a great traditional feel with a modern touch – cosy, clean, and full of character. The staff were friendly and attentive, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere from the get-go. The drinks selection is solid too, with well-kept beers and a good variety behind the bar. Plenty of seating inside and out, and a lovely spot to catch up with friends or enjoy a quiet pint. Definitely one of the better pubs around – will be back soon!”

“Brilliant food. Brilliant experience. Reiner is a fabulous chef and his food made my experience and the Dai cowboy was unreal. Tara who hosts the speed quiz was Legend "wait for it" ARY Ive been in a few times now for the general quiz and the Speedy quiz and I must say it's spectacular. “Came here before for the pub, but decided to stay when visiting Cardiff again. The staff were really lovely and helpful with checking us in. Our room was modern and spotless. In terms of convenience, it's very close to city centre and things like Cardiff Castle, National Museum, and Cardiff Bay. The pub downstairs is great as well especially if you love to watch sport. I think it's a great value for what you pay.”

“Thank you so much to Marcus and his team for the wonderful, caring service they delivered at the wake for our Dear Dad on Wednesday. Everyone commented on how lovely the room was. We appreciated the use of the easel for our display of photos and the table for Dad's regimental flag, poppies and donation box. The food was of a very high standard.... lovely chips, fresh sandwiches any yummy desserts - especially the tiramisu. Thank you to you all! We are very grateful!”

“Wow. What a fantastic pub. New to Cardiff and stumbled upon this little gem for Sunday lunch. Ate at the bar rather than in the dining room as I had my dog with me, but ate off the same menu. And what a menu. In a world where food for a lot of pubs is heated in a microwave, you should be more like this pub instead. Fantastic and huge sunday roast with lots of trimmings. The football was on the big screen in the bar, but that didn't detract from the atmosphere. And the lady who served us at the bar was friendly. funny and helpful. My only gripe is I can only give this place 5 stars!”

“I visited the Macintosh last week and had a lovely time, and the food was delicious, and it was good value for money for sure. I was particularly impressed with one of the staff who bent over backwards to look after myself and my partner, his name was Keri and was so professional and made us feel really welcome, looking forward to going back, hopefully when Keri is working again.”

The food was absolutely fantastic—I couldn’t fault the Buttermilk Fried Chicken, and my nan loved the Flat Iron Steak (though I think she pinched most of the gravy!). The stage was a fantastic addition, making it easy to showcase our raffle prizes and extend heartfelt gratitude to our guests. The microphone system was a game-changer, especially when the energy was high and drinks were flowing. It helped rally everyone's attention without a hitch. The private bar was a hit among our guests, offering a fantastic array of drinks, and the fully equipped karaoke machine was an absolute blast. The staff were incredibly kind and supportive throughout, contributing to our successful fundraising efforts for Mind UK. Their assistance was invaluable, and we're already planning to book another event here soon. A huge thank you to the entire team for making our night memorable and for aiding us in raising significant funds for such a crucial cause. “Popped in recently for a quick pint, 1st time in since renovation from Gassys. Tables set up reminds me of a beer Keller. Chilled out atmosphere, and a great chat with Mel the barmaid. Surprised that they didn't serve Guinness anymore but settled for a couple of pints of cider. I enjoyed my visit, the people were relaxed and friendly and the beverages were spot on. Will visit again soon on my evening stroll.”
