I am absolutely delighted with the bed and had about the best sleep in years yesterday after it arrived! “It’s great that there is a French cafe, specializing in galettes and crepes, close to the centre of Edinburgh. I have been to Le Petit Cafe twice. For galettes I would always go for the classic combination with ham and cheese, and that’s why I ordered the Parisian both times. The galette itself got a nice texture, with the tasty infill of melty cheddar cheese and ham, and a fried egg on top. There is a good variety of choices for both savory galettes and sweet crepes on their menu. We had two crepes following the galettes - one with chopped pistachio, white chocolate spread & pistachio ice cream which was a great mix of flavour; another one simply with salted butter caramel which was also nice, though I hope the texture of the crepes could be softer and tenderer (I come across such excellent texture once in Paris recently). Remember to try the French cappuccino, it came with cream on top which was definitely a great accompaniment to the food there.”

“We had The KBB Company to install fitted wardrobes around our bed. We bought a new house and were really lacking storage. David came over to get an idea of what we were looking for. He quickly got back to us with a quote and digital render of what they could do. Our wardrobes were fitted quickly and are amazing quality. Communication from David and the team was quick and easy. All staff members are so friendly! David really brought our vision to life, and made some wonderful recommendations regarding materials, colours, and handles. “Truly a hidden gem! Kind staff and superior-quality food at very reasonable prices. I've had an egg roll twice and it was to die for! I think they use prime quality ingredients, the bread roll itself was so soft and tasty. Unfortunately not dog friendly (I think because they are within a larger premise), but they do takeaway from the back (it's not signposted, just walk to the back of the building and you'll find a desk with a bell to ring staff and a menu, there is also a nice garden with some benches). So really an amazing spot to stop by after a long walk on the beach!”

“This long overdue review is finally being written because I'm thinking back of the wonderful 3-night stay I had at the end of August. :) The twin room was cozy, warm, and quiet after spending full days in Edinburgh. Oh and the Tunnock's caramel wafer biscuit and hot chocolate were welcome treats to return to and warm up to. LORNA IS WONDERFUL!! Every morning she made sure we started our day with her delicious breakfast offerings. Even though we had a car we opted to walk 10 minutes to the bus stop and take it to the city center. I enjoy walking out not surrounded by hotels and busy streets. It was nice feeling like a local and taking the 30 minute or so bus in. I highly recommend a stay and look forward to my next visit to Lorna and Whitecroft B & B! :)”

“Stupendous. I have not been to a better cafe, have not had a better breakfast in Scotland than here. Coffee was on spot: Not scolding hot, perfect blend, amazing latte art. Got a second coffee, they made a freaking swan!!! I didn’t make a picture cause my sister sipped it before I made a picture (thanks for that haha), but guys, honestly, what a place! My friends had some other items, and portions are incredibly reasonable. Will be back for sure!”

All the staff both leading up to the stay and in the office where we kept the luggage were extremely friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again if we can.”

“This is an excellent company to deal with and I have no issues whatsoever after they completely rennovated my dated kitchen. The advice given by Terry when he came out to price and measure the work was knowledgeable and honest. The standard of workmanship by Danny and the installation team was first class. They came, they did the job really well then they left left. They were pleasant and approachable and there was none of the " we'll be back on three days to finish the job" nonsense. Operations were managed by the office supremo, Sarah, who dealt with coordination, payment and general admin. She is brilliant at getting things done and ensuring the smooth running of the work. Overall I have a lovely new high quality kitchen which cost far less than I had imagined and I would thoroughly recommend and thank Alba kitchens for their work.”
