“The host is just lovely and gracious. The room and bathroom are very small but they certainly don’t hide that fact on their website. As a solo traveler, it was perfect. Warm, cosy and quiet. Buses 100m from the front door enabled easy transport. I walked pretty much every day to the Royal Mile and Princess St. 15 minutes and pleasant walk. Great location, great people and really comfortable rooms. Stairs will be a problem if you have lower body issues.”

“Food was absolutely gorgeous. All enjoyed the meal and especially the kids. The plates were clean within minutes. Very well priced and good portions. Cleaning was held at a high standard and the staff were lovely and there for every need. Highly recommend”

“Our stay at Haystack hostel was excellent! This hostel is the tiniest in Edinburgh, giving it a cozy vibe. The dorms and living room reflect this coziness, giving ample opportunity to rest in between your travels. The toilets and showers are squeaky clean and (not unimportant): there is warm water! However, the highlight to our stay was undoubtedly the kitchen. It has everything you need and more! Fridge, cutlery, pots, pans, ovens, a microwave and tons of freebies left by previous visitors. To top everything off, the staff are friendly and welcoming. They accompany you to your dorm and give an extensive tour. Additionally, they are knowledgeable about the city and give good tips on the best places to go out!”

“My mother and I had a fantastic two night stay at The Inn on the Mile. We booked a twin room and were pleased with the spacious room, comfortable beds, and separate toilet & shower rooms. The room was quiet and the restaurant downstairs had good food. We ordered dinner one night and breakfast both mornings. They have a brekkie menu but you can also order ala cart. One thing to note - there is no lift to access the rooms. If you’re not good with stairs, request a lower floor. We were on the top floor (78 stairs up) - not a problem for us but just to be aware. The staff is super friendly and will help with bags. Overall, the location was the perfect place to explore Edinburgh. We will happily stay here again next time we’re in Edinburgh.”

“I have boarded my dogs at Blairadam Premier Kennels for years and have always had an excellent service. My dogs are always happy and well fed and the owner Mo even has her staff bath them and they smell so fresh(it’s the doggy perfume Mo uses especially for dogs. The kennels are spotless and the dogs have regular walks throughout the day. I would highly recommend BLAIRADAM PREMIER KENNELS AND CATTERY. Thank you for caring for my dogs so well.”

“We had a lovely dining experience at The Space restaurant inside DoubleTree by Hilton Edinburgh Airport. We ordered the hummus with lamb, Aberdeen Angus burger, and Caesar salad — everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The burger was juicy and cooked to perfection, and the hummus was rich and delicious, paired with warm bread. A special thank you to Finn, who was incredibly friendly and attentive. His excellent assistance made our visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommend The Space for anyone looking for a high-quality meal near Edinburgh Airport.”

“Clean, friendly and good choice at breakfast, even a freshly cooked full English if wanted. On a main bus root with buses every few minuets to get into town centre. Very Impressed with management, I had a character picture done with my daughter which fell down and I forgot to pack it and they sent it back down to me. Was not an expensive item but something personal to us.”

“It's a Homeless Hostel The Highest Standard possible, yes they may be people there with addiction and alcohol problem's, I'm staying here for some time and the staff and place deserve 4.5 star”

“Stayed at the Nicolson Apartments recently when in Edinburgh to see Derren Brown, I must say that the apartment we stayed in was perfect for a weekend stay in Edinburgh. The staff were very helpful, friendly and attentive which always makes a difference. Thank you for the complimentary shortbread, it was very tasty! Would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in central Edinburgh.”

Very lovely property and the rooms are clean and very big and good off road parking too. Also close to the city centre and regular bus services that will take you into the city centre. “Lynn & David are perfect hosts. Room (en suite) is very spacious. We were asked what we would like for breakfast and, when served, it was delicious with orange juice, cereal, fresh fruit and toast. Very central..walked to Botanical Gardens, Edinburgh Castle and Museum. 25k steps..will sleep tonight.”

“We had recently visited Edinburgh and had a stay in this guest house. The building feels old and antique. We took the family room with separate bathroom. Rooms are not clean, we found cob webs hanging on the walls, paint got peeled and hanging. Bathroom was neat and clean. Staff was good. All together a nice stay for the price.”
