“We stayed for 2 nights, the rooms were amazing and cozy, the beds very comfortable. The bathroom was very modern, despite the whole building being very (beautifully) old fashioned. The location was ideal, quiet at night, but just a 20-30 minute walk to the city center. Easily accessible from the airport. The host was very kind and helpful. The price is also very good.”

“Wow! We decided to cancel our hotel booking and stay at the Ocean Serviced Apartments instead and that was one hundred percent the best decision we made. We originally booked for 6 nights but a few days before we checked in we decided we needed an extra night which was so easy to do. Just before we arrived we found out that they had upgraded us to the executive suite which is on the 7th floor. The views were just amazing and the apartment itself felt very luxurious. From start to finish all the staff were professional, efficient and very friendly. All the instructions were sent via email and explained everything that was required, at no point did we need to question anything. C25 had 2 bedrooms which we had converted into 2 double beds with ensuite bathrooms,one had a shower and the other had a bath with a overhead shower. There was also a separate room with a toilet and wash basin. A closet for the washing room and another for the boiler. The living room was very spacious and had the kitchen at the back and dining area to the front right. There was a balcony with a table and chairs as well. We literally could not of asked for anything better. You could see Edinburgh castle, Arthurs seat and the Royal Yacht Britannia. The bed linen and towels were all fresh and clean and everywhere was just right. You can hear the lift and the floorboards are a bit creaky but it did not bother us at all. There is a cafe and bus stop across the road and an Asda just round the corner. You are about 5 minutes from the harbour which is beautiful to have a walk along. The car park was very secure with ample parking including disabled spaces. If we come back to Edinburgh we would definitely be staying here again.”

“We stayed at 'The Loft' - genuinely luxurious, quirky and modern, extremely clean with fantastic communication. STAY HERE you won't be disappointed. Everyone was really bowled over with the place, they loved the decor, the quirky touches and character in the property. We are very used to high floors from previous stays in the capital. This didn't feel as high! It was absolutely perfect for our group which was mixed with couples and singles. The location was fantastic, on the corner of Hanover street with lots of bars, cafe's and restaurants all within minimal walking distance. Everything we could possibly need was catered for. The ensuites were also a massive plus with large groups and practically looked brand new. The apartment genuinely felt luxurious with no expense spared. Deliveroo was no effort at all with quick deliveries. Lovely big dining table we could all sit around for breakfast, big fridge, and the ground floor bathroom was huge. The living diner was perfect for gathering after a day exploring.”

“Very calm location. Plenty of parking space. Friendly staff. Rooms were clean and spacious. Kitchen facility with all cutlery available. You can cook food. Bunglow has washing machine were u can do laundry.”

“This was the perfect place for us to stay overnight for a wedding nearby! The views are absolutely stunning and the hostel is pretty, clean, warm, and friendly. The staff are especially kind, caring, and helpful - our trip was made memorable by the friendliness of Heather who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. She was so inviting and generous and the stay massively exceeded our expectations, and will be remembered as a really special weekend thanks to her kindness and the efforts of other staff.”

“Delicious Japanese restaurant with a solid menu and very nice decor. Was unfortunately seated in their small downstairs area which is quite cramped and echoey so best to request seating upstairs. Staff were friendly and the food was very tasty.”

“Our wee dog (frenchie/pug) stayed this weekend for the first time and was happy as Larry when he came bouncing out the gate. The staff that I met were lovely and clearly care about their guests. The price per night is very reasonable also. The grounds are very nice and there is a lot of greenery. It feels very rural despite only being a few miles from the city centre. Thanks a lot.”

Daisy recently stayed for just under a week in the boarding services and had a great time, I appreciated the pictures of her playing and living her best life! “We stayed for 2 nights and had a lovely time. You can take a nature path walk to dowtown (took us about 25 min). We also walked to a pub by the sea in about 15. The room was clean and quiet, and the breakfast was full of plenty to snack on. The view of the skyline was beautiful. So cool to stay in a home like this.”

“Edinburgh has many attractions that one might consider visiting and the travel literature lists them almost all. Almost. My visit to the Stevenson house was a real highlight. A Georgian house in Edinburgh's New Town that once was the home of one of the city's great writers, Robert Louis Stevenson. The house is now owned by the Macfie family. Both John and his wife Felicitas work as guides in Edinburgh and know how to tell a story... and have great personalities. Special events can be booked.”

“Fabulous location central old Edinburgh, by Castle Very safe and friendly Fantastic value for money Great food evening, basic but good, cold self serve breakfast. Lockers, USB charging sockets and reading light for each bed. Lockers on reception for after check-out. Lots showers and toilets. Female only, male only and mixed. All with cubicles with locks. Warm room and could open window. Very groovy bar/cafe/ restaurant area. Great music playing and fun friendly atmosphere. Very safe, reception manned 24/7 Can hire towels cheaply Only downside was that the mattress was a bit basic and uncomfortable on bunk bed, but bedding was nice and kept clean.”

“Stayed here when in Edinburgh and CAN NOT FAULT THEM. They are so friendly And welcoming, the parking is on site and so easy. The room is beautifully decorated, Wonderfully spacious and spotless. Then down stairs is a restaurant where you can get a delicious meal for a very reasonable price. Good drinks and cocktails. Already planning my next stay here. Also for those going into town the bus stop is 2 shops down and goes straight into town. So convenient.”

“Great location- about 20 minutes walk to Edinburgh centre or less than 5 minutes walk to the nearest bus stop. The Guest house was lovely. We stayed on the top floor which had a nice view. The room was good for two people. Free WiFi in the room and even just outside the front door. The manager was really helpful in everything we needed. It was in a quiet neighbourhood that felt quite safe. There were many dining and coffee places nearby as well as supermarkets. I would definitely like to stay there if in Edinburgh again!”

“We stayed here whilst visiting the Edinburgh Xmas markets. We booked a triple room; comprised of a single bed and a double, it was very spacious and clean. It even had a sofa but there was still plenty of space for us, our luggage and the extra shopping we did. The beds were comfortable & the room had a tv, tea & coffee making facilities & an en-suite. Breakfast was a self-serve continental breakfast; with plenty of options & a nice relaxed way to start the day. The guesthouse is a very short walk from priestfield rd which is well-serviced by buses into the city (we never had to wait more than 10 mins), but the guesthouse is close enough so that taxis aren’t unreasonable (about £9-10). If coming by train with luggage, I’d probably recommend getting a taxi as the buses can be very busy at the weekend. Duncan was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Helped us with our bags at both the start and end of our stay & was always friendly when we saw him during our stay. Would stay again.”

“I was there in 1999 & 2001 with my family, we were really happy being there. Small but confortable rooms , well done and delicious Scottish breakfast included.. I hope for July 2023 it will be available to receive me and 2 friends.. it will be an awesome experience and grateful MEMORIES .”

“Absolutely phenomenal place to stay. Couldn’t recommend anymore. We requested a double bed and we were given t with no issue. Also requested early check in through booking.com as it is usually 2:00. That was carried out for us also no problem. The decor is just stunning. Rooms are large, bathrooms are very small but for a few nights definitely is adequate. There’s Netflix in the rooms as well as kettle and a hairdryer, no bath but an amazing shower. Got free breakfast on the morning and all only cost £70 which is brilliant for the area. Free parking, shopping centre a 5 minute walk away, bus stop across the road that gets you right into the city centre as well as the most friendly host you’ll ever meet. So much better than going to a big branch of hotel. Instead give them a miss and go to this lovely little guest house, save your money and have the most amazing time with hosts to aid your every need.”
