“This very lovely restaurant in the Dunmuir Hotel is just wonderful. I've been a number of times both in a large group and as a couple and the standard never waivers. The actual restaurant itself is recently refurbished and looks great. It is not overfilled with tables so you don't feel cramped. The service from the moment you walk in is friendly but professional. I think getting the balance right is hard and these guys have nailed it. Then there's the food. I've yet to have a bad dish, the food really is absolutely delicious. The standard really is exceptional and I would go to eat there again in a heartbeat. This is all very high praise but as a person who rarely reviews things, in this instance it absolutely deserves this 5 star rating.”

Very professional, friendly and willing to accomodate bookings at short notice if they possibly can. They've saved my bacon several times. “Absolutely amazing hotel! Located right in the heart of Edinburgh, at a walking distance of all major attractions in the city. We were staying at The Gleneagles Hotel before coming to the Gleneagles Townhouse, so we knew the hotel will have to be as grand and beautiful as its parent hotel, and we were absolutely right. We checked in, though they didn’t have bellboy trollies/carts, the staff was readily available to help with the luggage and golf clubs. Check-in was smooth, super friendly staff. Our room wasn’t ready, so they stored the luggage for us and found it in our room when we walked into it. Our room was very beautiful, though a bit small, but it was as expected in any big city. The room comes with luxury amenities, it has everything you could possible need. I loved the bathroom! It has heated floors and just beautifully designed. The bathrobes and slippers were divine! They have a wonderful rooftop that is only available for guests or members, which I love that exclusivity part of it. Gorgeous views from the rooftop, perfect for an afternoon cocktail as you get the afternoon sun. The hotel has many beautiful corners and public rooms available for guests, beautifully decorated. The staff was incredibly helpful, I loved the fact they sourced a private meeting room for my boyfriend as he had to take a virtual work meeting and our room wasn’t ready, thankfully our room ended up being ready just before his call started. If you will be driving, just noted they do not have parking in the premises, I am sure they will suggest where to park, this was not an issue for us as we have private transportation arranged.”

“We arrived at the torfin earlier than expected and the owner lindsey was so accommodating, the check in was smooth and seamless. The room is very stylish and cozy, but the best part was the soothing, most relaxing and roomy rainfall shower!! We ate dinner at the restaurant here, the croquettes and corn ribs are to die for we ordered 3 rounds. The fish and chips and pan seared sea bass was delicious! Katie our server made sure to check on us and provided great service! Delicious food, friendly staff, totally recommend!”

“We had a wonderful stay at The Bridge Inn in Ratho this past September. This charming canal-side inn is a hidden gem just outside Edinburgh and near the airport, offering the perfect blend of peaceful countryside atmosphere and excellent hospitality. Our room was comfortable and nicely decorated with lovely views of the Union Canal. The inn has that cozy, traditional Scottish pub feel that makes you instantly feel comfortable and at home. The location right on the canal made for a truly serene setting, especially waking up to the peaceful waterside views. One of the highlights of our stay was our leisurely walk along the Union Canal towpath. The canal walk from Ratho is absolutely beautiful, with tranquil waters reflecting the sky and lush greenery lining the path. We strolled for miles, enjoying the peaceful countryside, watching narrowboats glide by, and spotting ducks and swans along the way. It was the perfect way to unwind and escape the bustle of the city while still being so close to Edinburgh. Dinner at The Bridge Inn's restaurant was fantastic! The menu featured delicious Scottish fare with a modern twist, all made with fresh, quality ingredients. We enjoyed Steak pie and Fish & Chips. The atmosphere in the restaurant was warm and inviting, with attentive service from the friendly staff who made excellent recommendations. The combination of comfortable accommodation, stunning canal-side location, wonderful walks, and excellent dining made our stay at The Bridge Inn truly memorable. It's an ideal spot for anyone looking to experience the Scottish countryside while staying close to Edinburgh and to the airport.”

“I stayed at Adagio Aparthotel for three nights and had a great experience. The staff were super friendly and helpful, both at check-in/check-out and whenever I had questions. The location is unbeatable – walking distance from the train station and from the airport bus stop, which made everything very convenient. The room was clean and comfortable, with a spotless bathroom and a well-equipped kitchen that made it easy to prepare meals. Everything felt organized and practical, and the overall atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant. If you’re looking for a place that combines comfort, convenience, and a welcoming team, this is an excellent choice.”

“Travelers, stay at Elder York Guest House!!! It’s simply wonderful — my wife and I have never felt so warmly welcomed and cared for in any accommodation or hotel throughout all of Europe. If you stay here, you’ll understand exactly what I mean. Thank you so much, Murray and your father — you truly made our days in Edinburgh the most unforgettable of our lives. This place gives you a true Scottish experience and is within walking distance of all the major tourist attractions. Tired after a long day and not in the mood to go far for food? No problem — just a 30-second walk and you're literally at the door of a Five Guys. (My wife and I went three times just so we could get back quickly and keep enjoying Elder York!) Because of the time zone difference, I had to attend a 5:00 AM meeting with my lab team (I’m a PhD student), and Murray’s father — the host — kindly asked if I’d like a cup of tea. Mind you, breakfast only starts at 7:00 AM. If you're planning to visit the Highlands, you can take a one-day tour (like the ones offered by Timberbush), and return in the evening to rest at the Elder York Guest House. No matter what you’re doing in Scotland — stay here!”

“I’m only giving 5 stars to the great guy that use to work there who sadly died few months back, but the woman who works there is not very nice, she shouts and says rude things without even knowing the truth. She accused my husband of stealing money that my mum had sent him, we never got it because it was sent to the wrong address by mistake and she said that my husband had the money and was not telling me the truth that he had it (which he never did) she also said that my husband can speak English and that he’s pretending that he can’t understand it (when he really can’t understand English properly) and that he’s a liar and a thief. After some time later we found out that the money that was sent to the wrong address or country ended up going back to my mums bank account after all. After that I’ve never been back to her since and never will!”
