“Delicious and juicy burgers, tasty curly fries and amazing milkshakes. During my stay in Edinburgh I have been here several times. The interior is very simple, but don't be afraid of it, order the burgers and milkshake. Possible to take away if you don't want to sit inside. Recommended!”

“Visited for a beer tasting experience, stayed for further food & beer. The beer tasting was excellent, really appreciated the commentary on the beers given by the staff member. Was pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the food. The haggis bites with chippy sauce, cauliflower bites ('KFC') and mac and cheese were all elevated massively from the usual pub grub fare. Really really tasty. Service was friendly and efficient, and the place had a good atmosphere. They sell cask beers from other local breweries as well as their own beer (which these days includes the Inveralmond range e.g. Ossian) Looking forward to returning”

“We had a fantastic experience, the food was outstanding, the wine was at the perfect temperature, the atmosphere was relaxing and the service was attentive but not overbearing. Our first time here as my wife wanted to try it, so I took her for her birthday. Our new special occasion venue.”

“Amazing meal at the Real Greek! We got selected for the golden menu, which was such a treat! Our waitress Vanessa looked after us for the whole meal and the service was top tier, as was all the food - which was all delicious. Would definitely recommend!”

“I wasn’t aware of this cool bar until I had to Google it to buy a bottle of Lonewolf gin for my work colleague. Stepped in and memersize by the wide selection of beers from the tap shown in the menu board. Bought the bottle and settled in for an Elvis Juice IPA, without knowing what it was. The first sip was wow… tasted like grapefruit, one of my favourite fruits. Taste is very defined and refreshing. Forgotten to take photo. Friendly staff! Brewdog is quite close to Royal Mile. I arrived during dinner time so it was pretty quiet.”

“For pure haggis taste experiment, here is the place. Steak pie has lack of salt but good anyway. Waiter is amazing, he helped us about picking the dish and adviced some other places. The sticky dessert is edible, but I don't recommend. Restaurant is on the second floor, you can enter from first floor pub.”

“Went 2/12/25 for another visit after almost 2 years and it was still very good. Lots of delicious beers and decent burgers and fries though so hungry I forgot a picture sorry! The place became very busy for a Wednesday with lots of groups and all you can eat wing night on Wednesdays as well. Enjoyed barley wine and stout and it was becoming pretty loud as it was really busy so left for hanging bat near by. Two sides for £7 was a nice value”

“Only been the once and was very pleasantly surprised. Booked a table very last minute and not even sure how they managed to squeeze us in, the place was packed. Food was lovely and service was great, also great value for money.”

“As always an absolutely delicious lunch at Ashiqs’s today. We had poppodoms & the chutney tray, vegetable pakora, Seekh kebab, Lamb Madras, Chicken tikka passanda with pilau rice and a garlic Naan.”

“My brother and I were walking back from the football and decided to pop in for a takeaway. I wasn't particularly hungry and I'm usually disappointed with takeaways so I only had some of my brother's vegetarian Paneer dish and I wish ordered my own. If you're unsure on what you're wanting and you're not wanting too much spice, you should try the paneer, spinach dish, the tastes were so authentic and flavoursome. I know what I'm getting next time.”

“Really nice hotel. Friendly staff - and fellow guests! My room's WC was across the hall, which isn't perfect for a prostate cancer survivor, but it was private. Everything else tickety-boo.”

“Very nice and cozy apartment. Well located, less than 5 minutes walk to the Royal Mile. There are also a lot of restaurants and bars in the area. The apartment was quite big, the kitchen was well equipped, the washing machine and coffee machine were a great bonus. I totally recommend it for those who visit the city and want to experience living in the old town!”

“We've often seen a show here for the Fringe but not prepared to pay over the odds for a room. However, we did have a meal here this week which was excellent. It's a small, relaxed bar area. Staff were very welcoming and attentive. Prices surprisingly reasonable too, especially during the Fringe. Will definitely return for a meal on our next visit”

“Perfect location, brilliantly clean apartment. Met Lynn on the first morning, showed us everything we needed to know. Everything was in walking distance. Tea, coffee, sugar and local shops nearby. This is our 4th time in Edinburgh and wouldn’t stay anywhere else.”

“Stayed here recently for a night and it was amazing. Our room was clean and spacious with incredible view. We ate in the restaurant in evening and Michelle our waitress was so friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this hotel.”

“Been coming here for a few years now must admit its my go to for Chinese. Never had a bad meal yet .staff at the front off the shop are always welcoming and polite if you need something extra or a meal tweaked. They are happy to try and accommodate your needs. Plus gives my cooker a wee rest.”

They were also kind enough to inform my partner that a dish we had ordered and he had gone to pick up wasn't vegan safe and kindly offered to make us an alternative without charging us!”

The food was absolutely amazing , stuff friendly and helpful, we visited on a Sunday , summer holiday , the place was empty which is a shame , I’m glad we decided last minute on this place to eat , didn’t disappoint”
