“Lovely staff. Brilliant gym. My wee girl hurt her wrist not long ago whilst playing badminton with her dad here, and the staff member who gave first aid to her was absolutely amazing with her. Calmed her down, gave first aid and even asked how she was next time we were in.”
“Easy to find. Good sized car park although not designed very well. Gym layout is a little odd but manageable. Good variety of classes to book via the app.”
“This park features a large green space with a playground, walking paths, and a basketball court. It is also home to the Richmond Park Community Garden, where visitors can learn about sustainable gardening practices and view a variety of fruits, vegetables, and flowers. Overall, Richmond Park Glasgow appears to be a great destination for outdoor recreation and community engagement.”
“Wishy sports centre has everything. Indoor football, badminton, tennis, table tennis, basketball and flying...OK so I made the last one up! Shoot me! The centre is modern and clean and everything is signposted for your ease. The centre has a swimming pool and a state-of-the-art gym. The centre also holds a smorgasbord of fitness classes held in the various suites. There are excellent changing and shower facilities as well as an in-house cafe. The staff are brilliant and helpful and you'll have the best experience in fitness that Wishy has to offer.”
“Beautiful location along the riverbank. We were there for "The Road to Monte Carlo " event. Coffee in the leisure centre cafe is excellent.”
“I have a question for you about the first time in my life I was in the hospital and my heart was pounding so hard I was like I don’t know if you know what I’m talking about I was”
“Excellent flat smooth track for walking. Particularly good for people recovering from sickness or injury. Toilets etc nearby.”
“Lovely little park in Foxbar. Plenty of ducks and swans to see as well as a small play area for kids. There are a couple of foot paths into the trees which are perfect short trails for dog walking.”
“Nice modern facility, pleasant staff & good facilities”
“Nice little park in a a beautiful little village. Kids loved this park.”
“This is a great pool for serious swimmers being a full 50m long and they often have lane ropes out to stop anyone getting in your way. There a couple of gyms onsite too along with a sauna and steam room. The only downside is it's not much of a fun pool for kids although as the floor can be raised or lowered they often make one end very shallow so it's suitable for young children. Edit - The moving floor was broken but is now fixed with the timetable for the pool back to normal. I've added a photo of it here.”
“I use the pool regularly. Always clean. The changing room floors are brushed often. Fatima and Morag at reception are VERY attentive and helpful.”
“Loved this pool. Ideal if you have small kids, water is warm and it's a great family activity.”
“Loved our latest visit! Booked in advance as can get very busy. Changing rooms and showers are a bit chaotic when busy but overall place was clean and lovely to see both flumes open again. Whirlpool is a ton of fun, lazy river with slides is great too and the wave machine is fantastic. Didn’t do the big tornado donut slide but kids loved it. They also love the huge water play area (where you can fire water at unsuspecting folk below). Cafe was open again too which was lovely to see (slushies and cakes were hoovered - also has hot food). As other people have noted, do bear in mind it is an old attraction now so it will look a bit worn around the edges and could use a bit of TLC on the rust spots but given its age that wasn’t a major thing for us. All in an absolutely fantastic day, lots of giggles and could have stayed much longer. Would recommend trying to go at non-peak times to get the best of the main features.”
“Chris is knowledgeable, supportive and takes the time to tailor the session for you. I went along to a 'beginner open water swim session' and would strongly recommend. We learnt about how to swim safely in open water, then went into Loch Lomond to swim - with amazing advice on stroke, breathing and spotting. The I also joined for a Sunday social swim which was great, very safe with beach spotting and kayak support.”
“Beautiful river in beautiful surroundings, and right on the edge of town.”
“Fantastic turn out and a big thanks to all who attended! Just a quick F.Y.I, Anne Bryan's comment suggesting that "3 people were hurt" is rather unsubstantiated. Nobody came forward when asked, as I'd have ensured they were okay, of course, and no other events that we have held, has ever resulted in injury. Plus, it's supposed to be a fun off-lead event that allows our furry friends to have a good time, eat lots of treats and tire themselves out. I attempted to reach out to Mrs Bryan but she appears to have blocked us all. That's all good, she's always invited back to our events as they're for EVERYONE! Love seeing some old and new faces xx”
“Great service and knowledgeable”
“Great for open water swimming bouys out to plan 1/2 mile clean water”
“Free to park but gets very busy. Offers convenient access to scenic local walks and the reservoir. Good signage for routes.”
“Fresh and free water accessible 24/7”
“Lovely wee place to feed the ducks.”
“Peaceful, birds singing, ducks swimming, water flowing and trees blowing.”
“I would like to commend all the staff who work behind the reception desk at the Foundry. No matter how busy they are they are always pleasant and friendly and very approachable. My friend and I use the facilities regularly and we are always recognised and welcomed with a smile. Thank you ladies from Liz Stewart and I.”
“Awesome place to visit. Derwent Water Lake is my one of the favourite lake for my photography.”
“Kids went for the first time yesterday and got upset when I came to get them as they didn't want to leave! Great problem to have when it's their first time there. Seems a well run camp and facilities at Hamilton College are first class!”
