“Been to central 42 many times. Staff are always friendly. My wife is celiac and they have lots of gluten choices for her. The staff are usually very well informed about cross contamination. Loads of choices of delicious food. Good idea to book if its a Saturday or Sunday. But walked in and got a table lots of times aswell. Definitely recommend a visit”

“Visited for lunch with a friend and we each had a sandwich - they were lovely and my only constructive critique would be to chuck a bit of foliage on the plate to break up the sea of (delicious) beige. Looking at the menu prior to ordering, there were some lovely vegetarian options but felt that they lacked the same level of thought that went into the meat options - I would love to see some more creativity here. Great drink selection, lovely atmosphere and the bar staff were super friendly and chatty, which really stood out and elevated the whole visit.”

“We stopped here for lunch and we thought the food, the price and the service was spot on. Delicious hot sandwiches with a tasty side. All of the light bites are meant to be half size, but the portions are very generous and suited my 12 year old perfectly. Staff were friendly and genuine. Much appreciated and would happily recommend this for a casual lunch spot.”

“I have had one of Apron strings meals to take out, for the last three Wednesdays and every one of them has been delicious, full of flavour and so easy to heat up. Very reasonably priced too. I have also had 3 meat and cheese platters recently for three birthdays. They make a great birthday present and my family members have started to look forward to receiving a platter for special occasions, they always go down so well. “We tried Cheng & Chen for the first time this week. Walked in, ordered and our food was cooked fresh in 15 minutes. Really nice takeaway with a bit of a twist. Much lighter and less greasy than your usual Chinese takeaway!”

“By far the best Chinese takeaway in Hull! We used to order back when they had the takeaway down Wold Road. My mum wouldn't even contemplate ordering from anywhere else when she found out it had changed hands, then a friend told us they were opening a new shop my mum was thrilled! Lovely people, large portion sizes and very well priced!”

“After visiting Trinity Market for the live music on Thursday nights and sampling the fabulous food on offer here, we went back for a second visit specifically to sample more of their delicious dishes-we weren’t disappointed! I had the King Prawn Udon Noodles with lovely thick sauce, big juicy prawns, red peppers and green beans. It was just fabulously unctuous! My wife had the Tofu Pad Thai which was equally delicious. The staff are really friendly and service is super quick. My pals all looked on in envy at my lunch, so they’ll just have to join the queue behind me next time!!”

“This is a good Chinese restaurant with really friendly staff and a menu with a good range of options. There are dishes that you would see at most Chinese restaurants as well as some that are less common, which is always nice to see. They are happy to make reasonable changes to dishes for you. Allergens are labeled on the menu and we've eaten here several times with no issues with allergen cross contamination, even when we haven't specifically pointed it out. The building is an old English pub so from the outside you might not realise that it is a Chinese restaurant, making it feel like a bit of a hidden gem to me! I've visited several times now and will definitely be going back!”

“Rarely eat takeaway, but when we do my oldest loves a burger. Last burger we ordered was from Dope, it was really disappointing. Tonight we ordered from Crafted - they have really upped their delivery game - the box’s they used made sure everything was crispy/juicy as appropriate. All were very happy. Great meal. (And cheaper through their app!)”

“Booked a table for 20 with Garbutts for our work anniversary and every meal was lovely. The food came out fast and correct and was cooked to perfection. I think we ordered almost everything on the menu between us and not one person was disappointed. The staff went above and beyond, they were attentive and friendly.
