“Golden acre is a beautiful park, albeit with some dodgy parking. But the tea room is gorgeous, sit on the terrace if the weather permits or inside the conservatory style tea rooms. Sandwiches are great, good bread and fresh ingredients and accompanying salad. The coffee was good however the flat white was not as strong as my personal taste would prefer. I have not tried the breakfast menu as it stops at 11 or 11:30 and I've only arrived just after. 5 stars if this was good and served all day.”

“Nigellas provided an amazing spread for our funeral function. They arrived early and set up for us. The selection of food was impeccable and all packaged well ready for when we arrived at the function. All in all great service appreciate it!”

“Called in this morning because they have started offering Gluten free. Order was taken quickly by a helpful and cheery lady, food is cooked to order, none of this reheated stuff. Wide choice on the menu, and will be offering the Government discount scheme too. A very pleasant breakfast trip.”

“I just went in for a bite to eat. Portion sizes for a small meal are incredible value for money. Great flavours too. Staff are polite and friendly. It's such a little gem of Castleford. Especially under it's new management. I recommend the panini and chips.”

“Had afternoon tea here today with my mum before some retail therapy. It was absolutely gorgeous. The sandwiches were soft and fresh, the scones were superb and the little cakes on the top tier were soft and fluffy, cheese cake fantastic. As much tea as your belly can take. It was a lovely treat and would definitely do it again.”

There isn’t a lot of seats inside, and she also stocks some jelly cats and other gifts, but the for the coffee, loobylous is well worth a visit alone! The lady who was working/owns it (I think!) was lovely- we had a lovely chat with her”

“Been a regular of Tom's for a few years now,he doesn't have WiFi so doesn't get chance to see reviews unless me or another shows him so it's nice to see alot of positive reviews for him,it's cheap,quick and delicious,I recommend poached eggs on toast,sets me up for the day, have a good banter with Tom,he's a good fella just speak up and clearly when giving him your order and you'll have no problems”

“Normal excellent hard working kind patient staff ...but as for the contractor man who was here in the week, another botched job for poor Caffe Nero hard working store up front staff . ....ask them to move on and get better contractors, or local good old keen skilled fine DIY person , knows his job and gets it fixed in a flash and first time and knows what's it's about ! ... Rather than these folk who come to Caffe Nero stores and ...who don't do their work to any degree of accountability. And they should get the flak for their poor shoddy work repeatedly for Caffe Nero and other places. Noone sees these folk who don't care how they do their work for Caffe Nero or the town city Council or others. FAILED again!! here. What truly is the big problem.These mysterious ever failing folk or businesses letting the country down and never are the up front staff , they who get the flak. The Council gets the flak not it's those we don't see who let us all down , and don't do as the Council or Caffe Nero need and standards expected .. ....I saw the fellow of a Yorkshire business here in the week. Clueless for a simple job I expect ..and they make out it is oh it's oh much more and oh they don't make the part now and everything else excuses: Some big problem they always make out it is: gives them more work to charge Caffe Nero and the Council and others for ?? ...? Is this the truth or not ? We are all paying for it in the end. Can we know please? A simple fix repeatedly is and should be done quickly fine in a good flash. It's a free market as much as it still is so how about it dear Caffe Nero bosses switching contractors to ones who do a proper level of service like your great store up front hard working long hours staff do. And also making sure your Customer Care staff off in their hidden office away from the up front work are accountable too. If not hire others to do it. I have found now the same repeated trying to seek sound sense from both the App and Customer Service line, they do not work well . Do they need help or what. Can one actually raise a concern and get a sound fill answer or are they simply there to try and get rid off fob off every concern we raise. And only take on board anything positive which one also very much sends .? Maybe some good new developments behind the scenes soon on both these lines dear Caffe Nero??.. to support the great business and your great up front ' product ' and great staff in towns all around. Many !! thanks. I always hunt out CNs firstly . A pleasure to come into one after another Caffe Nero and find such great hard working kind patient staff. Making very good coffee too as a wide whole. So Contractors and Customer Care staff off in their hidden offices away from where we all are need be better I reckon.... Or where will it head if they are not? “A wonderful place hidden at the corner in the Trinity. Fab staff, great service and tasty coffee as usual. They don't have many seats inside the cafe but spacious table&seats for customers outside. It seems they don't have glass bottles but only take-away coffee. In this way it kinda prevent me from sitting down, rest and enjoy the shopping centre vibe. However I am always satisfied with coffee from Nero!! Definitely 5 stars for Nero♥!”

“Pontefract market used to be quite big. But like everything with on line shopping etc it had got smaller. The inside market is great always brings back memories of when I was a kid. There are lots of new shops in there now, all the people that rent them are always friendly and helpful.”

“Popped in for a coffee and hot chocolate with my kids. Friendly efficient service and tables were being cleared and cleaned as soon as they were exited. Coffee was really good and the barista made sure she did the hot chocolate a little cooler for the kids. Amazing selection of cakes and cookies!”

“Very lovely place to spend your afternoon, very fair prices and eveything is very presentable. The place is very well kept and was very clean when I visited. The staff was very friendly and explained the difference between the different drinks that they serve. I would recommend anyone to go take a look and have a nice cuppa of whatever you fancy. Lots of seating, family friendly and also OK if you want to spend some quality time with a book and a hot drink.”
