I've never had a bad meal, it's very well priced to other options. A small cohort of staff who have been a familiar face the whole time too. 10/10 would recommend.”

“Stopped at this pub while on an errand because I needed to use a toilet. Since I had some extra time I ordered some chips with beef and spicy sauce for 4.30. Absolutely delicious and prepared in under 5 minutes. Staff was nice and helpful. Will stop by again if I come over to Burnley again”

“On Saturday my friends and I popped in for a drink. We decided the menu looked good and very reasonably priced so we’d have a light bite. Mine arrived but it wasn’t what I ordered - it was very quickly replaced with no fuss Halfway through my meal I nipped to the loo. The remains of my meal were cleared away as my friend thought I’d finished. I hadn’t. I asked our waiter if he still had my meal - he didn’t. No problem not staff’s fault. Ten minutes later a whole new replacement arrived in a takeaway box. I hadn’t even asked for it. Jed served us, was charming, efficient and went above and beyond expectations. Thank you Jed so kind!”

“Greeted with a smile by friendly staff who were only too happy to take us to our reserved table. They asked if we had any special requirements, allergies etc. They were so attentive throughout, we were allowed to eat our meals in peace without being disturbed. The only downside to the evening was the fact my husband has sensory issues which we were catered for by way of a quiet area but some adults allowed their children to run around screaming which made us leave early. The staff and manager were in no way to blame for this as it is a family friendly establishment but it would have been nice if the parents of the children showed a little respect for others dining this evening. “Came here for a family meal, This pub is very inviting, warm, cosy and friendly. Food portions are very good and well priced. The only thing they didn't have today was ice cream for the desserts but overall very nice.”

“The food has always been absolutely fine here, the prices are fab - absolutely can not complain but when you’re ordering you need to speak to Elyshi R (name on my receipt) because honestly she has made my visit! I swear she was made to work in hospitality, I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so much while ordering food, and I’ve definitely never played charades while explaining what I want. “Without a doubt, the best pub in Leeds City Centre. Amazing staff, who are always singing, dancing, smiling and willing to go the extra mile! The new landlord is the most down to Earth chap I’ve ever met. Loving the live music from the DJ on a Saturday, at the best free party in Leeds. Great selection of beers and spirits. 100 percent, get yourself down!”

“A much needed meal after a long day, and Millfield Beefeater delivered. We went for the steak and the hunters chicken from the 8 pound menu, alongside a crispy beef side. Everything was served hot, tasted fresh, and was well prepared. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, and the atmosphere was relaxed and inviting. Very good value and a spot we’ll happily return to.”

“Excellent few hours of lunchtime menu options available for the winter months, nice and warm in winter and next to the Canal and outside seating available in the summer. Good lunch menu choices and drinks options to have at various times of day. Looking forward to meeting with friends here again later on in the season.”

“We had a large party catered from the lads over the weekend. They were super accommodating and made sure we had plenty of extremely high quality curry/rice/bread to go around the 40+ people we had eating. They triple checked everything with me, and made sure I had the right things with the right spice. All our family and friends loved it, and that's why we have and will eat with these guys, always. “Great meal but a little bit flustered at midday for the first order it seemed… food took an okay time to come and was really nice. The offer itself meant that the 2 for 10.99 was reasonable since we were a group of four plus could add on for a small amount extra. Great atmosphere and lovely place to eat and have a drink. Great selection of other drinks and a good array of food not just on the offers menu too. For non alcoholic beverages there were a selection of mock tails or refillable diet / low sugar drinks available too.”

“My first time coming here as for some reason I've always thought it's probably quite unpleasant inside. I'm annoyed with myself as I've just had a lovely burger and experienced exceptional service for a pub, really friendly staff made me feel really welcome. Very clean and tidy too, thank you for a pleasant lunch.”

“This pub has in the past been the best pub in Crossgates. It has now started to get back to that great pub bar and restaurant. Live music good food and brilliant days at the weekend. The whole pub can often be seen to get up on the dance floor to dance. The staff are brilliant. As are the landlord and lady. If you want quieter then spoons is the one.”

“We walked in at 7pm on a half term holiday midweek. Place was not overly busy. But Hamza the waiter already told us they are short staffed and to bear with them. We didn't mind this as he forewarned us. After waiting 10 mins, he sat us down and took our order. Said all the food will arrive within 20-25 minutes which it did. Food was lovely and spot on. From the starters to the mains. They catered for my sons Nut Allergy as well (unlike Torros) and told us everything is freshly made and nothing is pre cooked etc. Mocktails are really nice as well.”
