“Fantastic festive family get together for seventeen of us this afternoon. Fabulous food and admiral service from the staff who coped well with our large party. The festive burger with half a melted Camembert was amazeballs! Highly recommended and exceptional value.”

The new landlord is the most down to Earth chap I’ve ever met. Loving the live music from the DJ on a Saturday, at the best free party in Leeds. Great selection of beers and spirits. 100 percent, get yourself down!”

“The food has always been absolutely fine here, the prices are fab - absolutely can not complain but when you’re ordering you need to speak to Elyshi R (name on my receipt) because honestly she has made my visit! I swear she was made to work in hospitality, I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so much while ordering food, and I’ve definitely never played charades while explaining what I want. Thank you for bringing Christmas cheer to a wet and miserable Monday! You’re a bloody star!!!”

“Came here for a family meal, This pub is very inviting, warm, cosy and friendly. Food portions are very good and well priced. The only thing they didn't have today was ice cream for the desserts but overall very nice.”

“A much needed meal after a long day, and Millfield Beefeater delivered. We went for the steak and the hunters chicken from the 8 pound menu, alongside a crispy beef side. Everything was served hot, tasted fresh, and was well prepared. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, and the atmosphere was relaxed and inviting. Very good value and a spot we’ll happily return to.”

“Greeted with a smile by friendly staff who were only too happy to take us to our reserved table. They asked if we had any special requirements, allergies etc. They were so attentive throughout, we were allowed to eat our meals in peace without being disturbed. The only downside to the evening was the fact my husband has sensory issues which we were catered for by way of a quiet area but some adults allowed their children to run around screaming which made us leave early. The staff and manager were in no way to blame for this as it is a family friendly establishment but it would have been nice if the parents of the children showed a little respect for others dining this evening. The meal was superb, my steak cooked to perfection, my husband said the mini trio of pies was amazing too compliments to the chef. Mrs Kay illingworth 6pm booking 17/02/24”

“Excellent few hours of lunchtime menu options available for the winter months, nice and warm in winter and next to the Canal and outside seating available in the summer. Good lunch menu choices and drinks options to have at various times of day. Looking forward to meeting with friends here again later on in the season.”

“This pub has in the past been the best pub in Crossgates. It has now started to get back to that great pub bar and restaurant. Live music good food and brilliant days at the weekend. The whole pub can often be seen to get up on the dance floor to dance. The staff are brilliant. As are the landlord and lady. If you want quieter then spoons is the one.”

I'm annoyed with myself as I've just had a lovely burger and experienced exceptional service for a pub, really friendly staff made me feel really welcome. “Great meal but a little bit flustered at midday for the first order it seemed… food took an okay time to come and was really nice. The offer itself meant that the 2 for 10.99 was reasonable since we were a group of four plus could add on for a small amount extra. Great atmosphere and lovely place to eat and have a drink. Great selection of other drinks and a good array of food not just on the offers menu too. For non alcoholic beverages there were a selection of mock tails or refillable diet / low sugar drinks available too.”

“We had a large party catered from the lads over the weekend. They were super accommodating and made sure we had plenty of extremely high quality curry/rice/bread to go around the 40+ people we had eating. They triple checked everything with me, and made sure I had the right things with the right spice. All our family and friends loved it, and that's why we have and will eat with these guys, always. “Called in for some food before bowling wasn’t busy and got seated quickly service was very good and food was great can’t complain at all”

“We walked in at 7pm on a half term holiday midweek. Place was not overly busy. But Hamza the waiter already told us they are short staffed and to bear with them. We didn't mind this as he forewarned us. After waiting 10 mins, he sat us down and took our order. Said all the food will arrive within 20-25 minutes which it did. Food was lovely and spot on. From the starters to the mains. They catered for my sons Nut Allergy as well (unlike Torros) and told us everything is freshly made and nothing is pre cooked etc. Mocktails are really nice as well.”
