From the moment we walked in, we felt so welcome ,the staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect. The food was absolutely delicious ,beautifully cooked, full of flavour, and with plenty of choice for everyone in the family. The atmosphere was relaxed yet special, making it the perfect place to enjoy time together. It’s rare to find somewhere that feels both stylish and family-friendly, but Escape manages it perfectly. We’ll definitely be coming back again ,highly recommended!”

“Cannot give this B&B enough stars. From the ease of booking and checking in, to the help with local taxis, to the gorgeous room and great breakfast. Cannot recommend this place enough. Catherine was simply amazing. The rooms are spotless, and so comfortable. We stayed in room 1 and the bathroom and shower are amazing. Bed is really comfy. We only stayed one night, but the breakfast the next morning was just perfect. A full selection of cereals, yoghurts, fruit, toasts and accompaniments alongside a full cooked breakfast, hot drinks and fruit juice. Was utterly divine and cooked to perfection.”

“I have just returned from the four star superior Constantinou Bros Athena Beach Hotel in Paphos, Cyprus. What can I say…from the moment I arrived until the moment I left I felt so welcomed and looked after. Such a wonderful experience! The private transfer from Paphos Airport to the hotel was a smooth short drive. I checked in late, it was after 23:00hrs as there was a delay on my flight. The night manager was there waiting to greet me, such a happy, hospitable gentleman. To my surprise there wasn’t a cold plate waiting for me in my room however the Leda Restaurant was open until 2am serving light snacks…even better! This was perfect, especially coming in on an EasyJet flight not having eaten anything. I decided that during my stay I would upgrade to the Premium Package which is the Ultra All Inclusive option including breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, alcohol and hot and cold beverages. In my opinion I would definitely choose this option again. It was so convenient not having to worry about where to dine and how much to eat and drink. I'm on holiday so of course I was going to over indulge and treat myself! The staff were all absolutely wonderful, and on the ball at all times. They went over and beyond my expectations from remembering how I like my eggs at breakfast to what drink I would have at the bar in the evenings. I stayed in a sea view superior suite where I enjoyed a number of breath taking sun sets coming down over the Mediterranean sea. As for the bed it was so comfortable I slept for hours! Overall would I come back to this hotel again?…DEFINITELY!!!”

“We had a wonderful day out on the Steam train, Whitby & the moors tour. Chris was a fantastic tour guide, full of interesting facts and information. The small group made it feel more personal as if you have a private tour guide. The trip across the moors was spectacular! The views breathtaking and Chris would stop off at points where we could get out and take pictures or just take in the amazing scenery. The whole day was brilliant, topped off with the Steam Train journey! I would highly recommend this trip with Chris. Thank you for a fantastic day.”

“It was a beautiful place in a beautiful location. Perfect for a wedding we were going to at the old barn. Val and Gerry made sure we were welcomed and well looked after. Lots of advice and tips for where to go for food and walks in the area. The room was HUGE and very comfortable, had all the amenities we needed, the views were stunning too. Great choice for breakfast and lovely relaxed atmosphere. Just wish we could have stayed longer to make more of this beautiful place. Thanks so much for looking after us! Sophie and Dave x”

We was looking at the brochures and had no clue what would be the best package was for us. “We stayed here for out visit to york. Its an amazing location and accessible to all key places in city. There is only one parking space. If you have a second car, it has to be parked on the road. there is a parking permit provided by the owner. So, its also covered. house is good and cosy. All ameneties are available.”

“We stayed at St. George's guesthouse for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our time. The room was nicely furnished, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and modern. The host was very helpful and approachable, and there was plenty of on-site parking available. The guesthouse is a straight 30-minute walk to the city centre, so an ideal place for visitors to York who want a quiet place to stay. We will be sure to visit this guesthouse again.”

“We got married at Wentbridge in August, and we honestly couldn’t recommend this venue highly enough. From the moment we arrived, we were struck not only by the beauty of the country house itself, with its charming character and stunning gardens, but also by the exceptional service delivered by every member of the team. The staff truly provide a 5-star experience. They were professional, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating throughout the entire process. Many of our guests even went out of their way to tell us how wonderful the staff were on the day. As a same-sex couple, one of the biggest reasons we chose Wentbridge was because we were treated with complete warmth and equality from the very start. We always felt valued, respected, and celebrated, never “different”, and that meant the world to us. The food was another major highlight. There were plenty of options and the team were so flexible in tailoring everything to what we wanted. We chose afternoon tea for our wedding breakfast, and it went down brilliantly with our guests, beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. A real luxury touch! Wentbridge is a perfect all rounder wedding venue. With family travelling from all over, having plenty of rooms on-site was ideal, and the variety of spaces throughout the hotel created a natural, enjoyable flow to the day. A special thank you to Chloe, Ellie, and Karen, who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. “Great food and friendly service. Was a little chilly when I went so it would have been good if the heating was up a little bit. The Beef Stroganoff was excellent and the fish and chips are decent. The chips are cut thick with a crispy exterior. A good quality pub… just get the heating up when it’s cold out. ;)”

“Fantastic alternative type of site . The facilities are very rustic so bare that in mind . However the bar is fabulous, live music on a Friday led by the family , Nigel and Shane . Saturday open mic night so plenty of entertainment. Site is laid back , firepits Inc logs and kindling are only 15 quid and saves you having to bring it . Decent burning logs too ! Nigel is aways full of fun and Shane the new boy is an incredibly friendly and helpful person.”

“Quick check-in, staff was kind, caring, helped me with my Uber order when they were an hour late. Helpful calling for rides for other guests. Bed was comfortable, had 2 different pillows, one form and other soft, amenities were present . This is a warm welcome after a long day of travel!”

“Booked morning reviver spa deal. It was a fantastic, relaxing experience. The lady booking me in the spa was welcoming and conscientious and couldn't do enough. In fact all staff(waiting staff, masseuse)were all friendly and helpful. All staff frequently checked everything was ok and were very attentive. The hot stones massage was amazing and the spa facilities were fantastic, especially the outdoor hot tub. The only negative was the open ceiling between the massage rooms, which meant you could hear noises from other rooms. Despite this I would definitely recommend a visit here if you want a relaxing experience.”
