“I went in for a drink pre lockdown on a couple occassions and could not fault the service or the friendliness of the locals that are there. Having recently found out that they now offered food I felt obliged to try it and can hand on heart say it was some of the best Indian take away I have had in Leicester! I noticed the venue had also had a makeover done it looks amazing, great space to go and relax. Can not wait for the lockdown to be lifted so I can go enjoy some drinks with my friends in the new bar.”

Recently brought back random food on the conveyor belts which enhances the experience. From the very start during the planning stage, till the very end of our event, the manager and staff at Tipu sultan were outstandingly accommodating and pleasant to work with. They listened to our needs and requests, were always on standby, and allowed us to have the most enjoyable and stress free afternoon which exceeded all expectations. The starters had arrived merely 20 minutes after everyone had arrived and settled, and shortly after the mains arrived as well. All items were hot, fresh, and tasted delicious. It is obvious that the food is prepared with a lot of love, care, and is uniquely authentic. The interior design of the restaurant itself is breathtakingly beautiful, and the atmosphere was lively and pleasant. The only thing we would say is that the women’s bathroom could be maintained a little better. Other than that we had an amazing time hosting our engagement at Tipu Sultan, and we would definitely visit again in the future. I highly recommend this restaurant to host events, or even if you are just wanting a meal out.”

The Paneer Shashlik was a standout, with perfectly grilled paneer and a tantalizing blend of spices that left us craving more. The Paneer Kadhai was rich and flavorful, with tender paneer chunks in a beautifully spiced gravy that was perfect with the naan. The Kofta was another highlight, featuring melt-in-your-mouth koftas in a creamy, aromatic sauce that was simply divine. Restaurant was lovely and clean and very nicely ventilated. Staff were attentive and positive attitude. Makes all the difference. The new decor was inviting and spacious.
