“I'm so pleased this place turned up on my Facebook feed. We decided to go tonight for dinner and we certainly didn't regret it. It's only a short drive from our house, a fifteen minute drive into the countryside is always nice. Lovely looking pub which was quite full in the bar, a good atmosphere. We were served our drinks by a very friendly lady and then we took our seats in the restaurant area. Served again by a very friendly and helpful young lady. We didn't wait long for our starters, which were presented and tasted fantastic. Our mains were just the same. Hardly any wait at all and the presentation was great. Everything was cooked very very well indeed, the portion sizes were generous but not over bearing and the tastes were sensational. We'll definitely be returning, the whole experience was exemplary. Thank you.”

“My husband and I recently had our wedding here, and honestly it could not have been more perfect! The grounds are stunning and peaceful. The small Georgian manor itself is picturesque and intimate. However, what makes Woughton House really homely is their polite and friendly staff. Matthew, in particular, was absolutely brilliant in ensuring we had the best day! He went above and beyond, even getting one of our guests extra lamb chops from the kitchen when it had run out at the buffet station. Compliments also to the chef, as all our guests thoroughly enjoyed their food, especially the chicken! If there’s only one thing the hotel could do for future bride and grooms, it would be to ensure room service is available and that breakfast can still be served after 10am to the newlyweds. Overall, a very positive experience and I’m so pleased we chose this as our venue.”

“We have just had a lovely three night stay and we asked for rooms next to our friends and our needs were met. The staff are all friendly and helpful and always happy to help. The breakfast was included in the price and was very nice. We had lovely meals at the Harvester which is situated in the car park. There is lots to do in the area so that kept us busy. We enjoyed our stay here so much we didn’t want to leave so we will definitely be returning.”

“Stayed here for a couple of nights rooms were clean and tidy, asked for air conditioning to be put on you have to give them your room number and they do it from downstairs, you need your room key In the room for it to work we had it on all night as room was very stuffy and windows don't open. It was OK for us but others might not like it, only thing was parking i think it should be included in the price, however £8 for 24 hours wasn't that bad.”

“First class service from Elaine, Kiya, Keigan and team at Evolve Law. One of the main issues with the time it takes to sell/purchase a house is the competence and efficiency of the solicitors. There were no issues or delays with Evolve Law due to experienced, knowledgeable and efficient solicitors - crucial for a timely sale. “Stayed here with my bridal party the night before my wedding and with my husband on my wedding night. Perfect location, you really do have a beautiful view over the fields from the front bedroom. The kitchen and living room area was perfect for the MUA and hairdresser to work in to get us ready and each bedroom has its own en suite which was a nice added bonus, when 6 of us were trying to get ready.”

“This independent hotel is tucked away within a ten minute walk from Bedford town centre with ample parking at the rear. I was greeted by the helpful staff upon entry who were happy to help with bags and information about the local area. A mix of rooms with en suites and shared bathrooms which are kept clean. Not the most spacious place but it really feels like a hidden gem. Breakfast was included and the full English went down a treat, plus there's the option of a continental, if preferred. Great value and highly revenged l recommended from me.”

“What a great little place! We stayed for a night whilst visiting Santa Pod. On arrival, Bobby came to meet us, showed us where we were staying, and gave us our keys. There were a couple of rooms accessed from the side of the establishment via a locked door, which you were provided a key for along with your room key. Once inside, there was a communal area with iron and board, Bobby's contact details should we need them and the WiFi info. From here, there was access to a shared kitchen we could make use of, which was very clean. It had all the amenities you could want. Then there were also the entrances to the rooms. Our room was brilliant, with what looked like a queen size bed. Which was amazing! It was decorated very tastefully and impeccably tidy throughout. The ensuite was exceedingly clean. We had our evening meal at the Spice Tree, Indian Restaurant, which shared the premises. The food was so delicious, and the staff were lovely and friendly. All in all, a great stay which I wouldn't hesitate to book again. Thanks Bobby!”

My partner and I always come here for a little getaway, and every time we’re reminded why we keep coming back. The staff are consistently friendly and welcoming, which makes such a difference. The room we stayed in was lovely, comfortable, and just what we needed for a relaxing break. For dinner, I had a three-course meal cooked by Gary, and the fish and chips were absolutely spot on. Gary even came out to say hello, which was such a nice personal touch. Manager Sue also made us feel very welcome, adding to the warm atmosphere. After our meal, we headed to the bar where Acer mixed up some cracking cocktails for my partner. Between the great drinks, the friendly service, and the easy banter at the bar, it really felt like being among friends. What stands out most is how well the whole team works together—it’s rare to see a place where everyone gels so naturally, and it makes the experience that much better. We’ll definitely be back again in the future. If you’re planning a spa day at Woburn, I’d highly recommend finishing it off with a stay here. Thanks again to the whole team—you’re a crazy, brilliant bunch, and we’ll see you soon!”

“Spent two lovely days here - owner was very helpful and friendly and the 50% discount for a meal at the Brampton Mill just around the corner from the site was an unexpected bonus. We were an unexpected arrival a bit later in day but they kindly waited for us. The toilets/shower block (including laundry facilities ) were very clean and tidy and warm . Ideal to stay over if travelling to Dover or as we were - the Tunnel . Would definitely stay again. Not much noise from roads either - good nights sleep.Dog friendly too and walks from the site.”

“I was booked to perform at a 10 year wedding anniversary & blessing. The overall event was very much like a a wedding and the entire day and evening was amazing. It was a beautiful hot day and the views from the lakes were amazing. The venue is perfect for numerous functions and the staff are all very professional and accommodating.
