“Creative Cocktails and Grand Atmosphere at The Alchemist ​Rating: 5/5 Stars ​We popped into The Alchemist King Street for a pre-dinner cocktail and were thoroughly impressed. The setting alone is worth the visit: it occupies a grand, stunning Grade II listed building that truly reigns over King Street, making for an instantly luxurious experience. ​The atmosphere is sophisticated, and the decor is highly unique—the space is cleverly decorated with labeled and thematic elements, reinforcing the bar's name and concept. ​The real highlight, however, is the drink menu. The mixology here is truly creative. We ordered the Espresso Martini, and it was one of the best we've ever had. It was delicious, strong, and beautifully presented, creatively adorned with a dark chocolate edible spoon and a dash of caramel caviar. This attention to detail elevates the experience beyond a standard cocktail bar. ​If you are looking for an inventive drink in a stunning location near Nottingham station and the City of Caves, The Alchemist is an absolute must-visit.”

“We had a wonderful day shopping then popped into here, was met by the bubbly and happy phoebe, we were served lovely food very quickly, the service was wonderful everyone in the team seemed happy and so lovely. But phoebe took the time to make us laugh and made sure we enjoyed everything! Its a lovely place will visit again another time as the team and place looks so clean and the food was delicious!”

“Came here for my birthday and it was brilliant.. one person on our table has a severe allergy to nuts, and the staff were amazing. They called her before hand to ensure she had a meal that was “safe”. We also had a gluten free and vegetarian in our party and the staff where happy to stand and to though the menu with us. Thought out the night they kept coming to check on us, answering questioned we had regarding food and drink. - Food was lovely and the music was right up our street. Lillian is an asset to bistro live. Although she was working she just matched the vibe of our table, even coming over at the end of her shift to say good bye and told me to enjoy my night…”

“We came here late evening as part of my birthday We were greeted very quickly and given a nice table Drinks were offered straight away but we were given plenty of time to browse the menu and order food (even though I knew straight away what I was having!) “I drank in this pub 50 years ago when I was at Trent College.spent many happy hours in there. In those far off days the landlord was a jovial guy called Jack. Called in there last year before lockdown,much smarter now and far more choice still a great pub.in those days mild and blackcurrant 11d old money! Happy days and better than learning at school.”

“Went here for breakfast on a whim for my 30th birthday. Fancied something authentic and Shahjee's did not disappoint. Its the positive reviews that pulled me in, which definitely checked out. I had the halwa, puri, aloo chana deal. Had an omelette on the side to share, which was lovely. Spicy, with onions, tomatoes and mixed Peppers. The desi tea could have had a but more cinnamon and flavour in it but to be honest, to say it is included in the meal option, you really cannot complain about it. Would definitely come again and glad I trusted the reviews. Everything is freshly prepared and cooked, even the tea. Nothing is already pre-made or packet that you just reheat in the microwave. Yes the place was a tad busy but that's pretty much goes to show how popular and enjoyable the food is. I'd rather go to a place that is busy and bustling, than dead and quiet. Also has a food hygiene rating of 5. The negative reviews are either very picky/fussy eaters with lack of patience, or may have just a genuine hiccup, which can happen. I think so long as you give the place an opportunity to actually rectify the concern/issue, then that's what matters, as opposed to coming on her to moan and complain. Will be coming again.”

“We had fantastic help and service from Edwina when we bought our travel system. She even remembered my parents going in to look at the one we wanted! There was a great deal on an ex-display model and she even offered to book an appointment with my parents to try it at a different time, so they didn't feel they'd missed out. The staff really understand how excited people are to make some of the big purchases and Edwina went out of her way to spend time with us and make it special. Huge thank you.”

“I would just like to say a huge thank you to the staff at GSF Nottingham. I had a problem with a good quality battery that I purchased 11 mths ago. They were very courteous and professional, particularly the gentleman working a very busy Saturday counter service. A business I have no hesitation in recommending.”

“Hooters isn't what I expected, in a good way. The food is absolutely outstanding! The best American food in Nottingham and the chicken is to die for. Far from being a seedy place where creepy blokes leer at vulnerable women, I've found Hooters to be quite the opposite. Young families sit around tables, sharing food together and it's a decent casual date location, with plenty of couples eating together. The menu is really good. It's lots of the same stuff in different combos, but this has two great benefits. First of all, with less ingredients you generally get better quality food and that's true here. Secondly, it's made a lot quicker than it otherwise would be as the chefs have more experience with each item than they would at a restaurant with many different items. I recommend the Cajun wings and the Parmesan garlic shrimp, with a side of tots. The coleslaw is a nice side to add. Beer options is probably the worst part of the menu. It's boring and really misses Blue Moon, with nothing similar since they removed it from the menu. I love it, I'll be going again with my fiance, or my work mates, or before the hockey. It's so good I've made it my standard go to food option in the city. Check it out.”

“Visited here on a busy Saturday evening, I didn’t have to wait long for a table and the service was brilliant. Food came out quickly and was piping hot. Catered brilliantly for allergies and felt happy that everything was separated and overseen by a manager. Love the new honey dip that comes with the halloumi starter, a new favourite of mine. Shout out to Connor and Koby, top service and couldn’t be more helpful”

“Nice cafe. Great food. Great value. Can get busy at peak times. The food served here is really good value, particularly the meatballs which are extremely tasty. They also sell them in the food shop. If you are an IKEA Family Member you can get free Tea or Coffee on weekdays. Lots of seating. Very light.”

“Had a spot of light lunch and a few drinks (non alcoholic) whilst waiting for my car to be serviced at the nearby Volkswagen garage. It's set on the main road but has a lovely outdoor area as well as plenty of space inside. Was pleasantly surprised with how busy it was on a Monday lunchtime! The staff are absolutely lovely and very polite / attentive. Really clean environment - including the toilets which were spotless. The food was really fresh, incredibly tasty and good value. It's a greene king so you know that the drinks are going to be cheap but they were still nice. Overall I was really satisfied with the experience and I look forward to coming back and trying some more of the menu.”

“Several weeks ago we ordered a large fridge freezer from John Lewis, we were served by Martin, who was extremely knowledgeable on the product. It was not a stock order and as we were ordering it on a Sunday, Martin was not able to tell me when it could be delivered. He promised that he would call the company the next day and then let me know approximately how long it would be, before it was ready for delivery, direct from Fisher Paykel. During the time we were waiting for the delivery I rang Martin and asked him several questions about installation and size of the cabinet trying to judge whether we would get it through our front door. Every time he said he would do something he always delivered, he went the extra mile putting my mind at rest. He made several calls to me keeping me updated. I have been a customer of John Lewis for many years and have always received excellent service, however I feel that Martin went above and beyond. He is a great ambassador for John Lewis, thank you Martin for all for care and consideration The Fridge freezer was delivered today and Fisher Paykel staff also behaved in a manner that their company should be proud of. The cabinet would not go through our door complete, which meant that they had to take the doors off to get it into the house. This was done with the minimum fuss and they left us with a fully operating fridge freezer, also taking away the packaging. The whole experience from start to finish has been fantastic, thanks to both companies your staff certainly delivered excellent customer service.”

“I went twice in a week to Netherfield branch. The first time was for advice, which I received from the lovely Kerren. On my second visit I was quite anxious about choosing kitchen cupboards,doors etc. I hoped Kerren would be there again. She was! Kerren and Karen B helped me navigate what I needed. Being Neurodivergent I struggle making decisions and at times panic. I flapped a few times and sat down to gather myself, Kerren and KarenB helped put me at ease and supported and helped me with my choices. I had financial limits so their help was really needed. I gave my thanks and said that I really appreciated their help. If it were not for them I'd probably still be crying about my unfinished kitchen. Well done to both of you and also thanks to Ian the Manager!”

“Best Neapolitan pizza in Nottingham. I have tried this pizza place 4 times since the first day they opened and I can say that they are doing amazing! After they trip and travels to Italy, they have gain the experience of the proper Neapolitan cuisine and they have brought it directly to Nottingham. Excellent flavor and perfect pizza dough: soft, elastic and with a raised crust. With most of the ingredients directly imported from Italy, the quality is 10. But pizza is not the only think they have, we tried the chili chips the first time we went and we loved them! Now is one of our must when we go. They also have antipasti boards, garlic dough balls and amazing desserts! If you cannot decide with the pizzas my favorite one is the Nduja pizza! A spicy and spreadable pork salami from Calabria.”
