“What a lovely place to visit. The grounds are lovely with a play park and lots of picnic benches. So interesting to look around and you can go in for free or pay £4 per person if you want the information booklet. We will be back.”
“Deborah has been amazing with me during my swimming lessons. She took her time in teaching me every move. She listened to my concerns and fears and helped me overcome them. I feel confident, assured and positive after my swimming lessons with Deborah. I cannot thank her enough. I have a holiday planned very soon and i can not wait to swim on my own and feel free. Thank you once again Deborah for your hard work and commitment to help build my confidence. I really appreciate it. Xx”
“A great little walk, kept the dogs nice and cool under the trees in this heat. Managed to get most of the way round with a wheelchair as well until there was a fallen tree but bumped into someone on the way back who was going to move it so should be wheelchair friendly all the way round (but a little bumpy). The path is still a bit overgrown for a wheelchair but we managed it by lifting at points so it is possible now!”
“A few minutes from the motorway, reasonably priced parking. Lovely cafe and a number of picnic tables. Several walks with differing lengths. The paths we followed were reasonably made-up and accessible.”
“Monika is an amazing swim teacher, she has really helped my children with their confidence. She also deals really well with my autistic child and never forces her to do anything, she’s always switching up what she is doing to make my child feel comfortable, and also recognises when she has had enough.”
“Great experience, our instructor Sam was very experienced and I felt safe at all times. So much fun, will definitely come back”
“Nice place for a walk and some fantastic spots to get a great view of the surrounding areas. Lots of different routes you can take, which keeps interesting if you visit multiple times. I can see Sharphill Woods in West Bridgford (my local woods) from the big open field that's located in the middle of the woods.”
“Good boat ride, Not a bad price, It was around £10 for 1 hour. Plenty to see and relax.”
“Lovely grounds, plenty of deer and a nice walk in fresh air. There are toilets, a café and gift shop.if you need them. You need the Ringgo app to park and pay £6.10 for all day.”

“Great place for a walk or to just sit and relax. Trent Bridge Cricket Stadium is just 5 mins walk from here”
“I had a fantastic experience at Riley’s, and a huge part of that was thanks to Alex behind the bar. From the moment we sat down, Alex was welcoming, attentive, and clearly knows his craft. The cocktails were perfectly balanced — creative, flavorful, and made with care. He even gave great recommendations based on what we usually like, and every choice was spot on. The food was just as impressive — fresh, flavorful, and served hot. You can tell the kitchen and bar work together well here. Whether you’re stopping in for a drink or staying for a full meal, Riley’s (and especially Alex) makes it worth your time. Can’t wait to come back!”
“Wooly Park is my local heaven. I love it. It has a bit of everything. Even holding events and doing themes in the school holidays. There is ALWAYS a reason to go there, even if it's just to admire the old hall or the deer.”
“Fantastic family holiday resort. You can swim all day and go on the water rides, rapids and pool. Wave machine is fun but doesnt always happen on time, depends on lifeguards. Beautiful forest and walk ways to explore on foot or bike. Peaceful lakes ...some lodges back onto lakes and you can watch the wildlife from the sofa. The animals are very brave as used to humans and often the geese will knock on the patio doors wanting a snack! Accommodation is clean and well designed. They are warm in colder weather. Can have a log fire which is lovely, can buy logs from shop. The activities are plentiful but some are pricey. Not much choice of craft activities for over 9 year olds...Need to book in advance to get time slots you want. Staff on site are friendly and courteous, and are happy to help. Restaurant staff are very nice and do everything they can to make it a good experience. Some building work is still going on at Sherwood...so some areas cordoned off still. The xmas area is looking lovely though. There is something for everyone here....you certainly get a good physical workout if you want it. Only one moan ....Busy on change over days and got a bit crazy due to overcrowding on water rapids. Some younger life guards could be benefit from controlling numbers a bit more and the youngsters who behave dangerously....so that it is a good experience for all. Need to accompany younger children. Overall great holiday and would definitely come back.”
“Everyone agrees the rapids are the best thing about Center Parcs. So much fun. And even better at night! Just wish they hadn’t removed the coloured ball style lights, and replaced them with bright white LED ones. The coloured lights really added to the atmosphere.”
“Such a gorgeous little Park I say little but it's actually really extensive and has many paths to walk around and explore., the kids playground is top Notch as well.”
“A fantastic country park plenty of difference routes for walking, cycling or horse riding along the routes there's gym equipment dotted about and a few children's play parks. There's also a good sized fishing. In the visitor centre, there's a good cafe that serves hot and cold meals. The only letdown is that dogs are not allowed inside, but there is a covered area outside. Well, it's worth a visit.”
“Really impressed with this place, never been before. Only walked one path but definitely will return. Cafe very good Dog friendly, Clean Toilets. Play park for children and plenty of parking”
“Having this place on your doorstep is absolutely fantastic! With plenty of routes available, my favourite is: right at the end of the lake, down the lane (with the cottage at the end), carry on passed that, then through the trees and take a left. This will lead into another walkway.”
“Decent place for a walk & dog friendly, car park is reasonably priced, quite a good selection of paths throughout and it's a short uphill walk to the hall from the ponds. Quite a popular place so parking can be an issue at peak times.”
“Lovely country park, lots of different paths for walking, cycling and horse riding. Great cafe at the visitors centre.”
“Loved this experience. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The attraction is very well organised. Changing facilities are clean. Would recommend for a fun day out.”
“It was such a lovely place! I visited Grantham for the very first time. Small quiet city I must say. I decided to visit the park, maybe a wakk to look around. I was impressed by how neat the park was, very well kept. The mapping, the walk ways. There was the beautiful stream with what looked like staircase waterfall thing. The scene and the sound was very relaxing. The children playground was fun too. Lots of play options, I found myself on the “rollercoaster" rolling and laughing like a kid, I visited some of the courts; table tennis, lawn tennis, football pitch, older children playground, bowling side. The outdoor gym was spacious and easy to use. There were so many sit outs and corners for photoshoots, picnics, had me imagining what summer would look like. There was this boat riding place, not sure what it was as we met it closed but it looked interesting. Lots of people were walking there dogs and I paid particular attention to a lady who picked up her dog’s dung as soon as it did the poo, it made me appreciate the neatness culture. Ofcourse there were bins on all corners so it seems pretty easy to keep up with good sanitation. I will definitely visit again if I find myself in Grantham sometime in the future. Please find pictures and video below.”
“3 x 3 screenshots from the Butlins tourism videos, comparable to Butlins Minehead and Butlins Bognor Regis, in my opinion, this is the best if you are a middle aged person or simply prefer deep water. You can see the waterpark map on the Butlins website or Google Images.”
“This had great atmosphere. Service was also good. One person on the busy bar but his service to who was next was outstanding. Good food served in a timely manner. Great place.”
“I've had the pleasure of enrolling both my children, now aged 18 months and 4 years, at Puddle Ducks Nottingham, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. From the moment we started, it was clear that Puddle Ducks prioritizes both fun and safety in their lessons. Over the past four years we've had several instructors – Pam, Alex, and Nicola – who are truly fantastic. Their patience, enthusiasm, and expertise creates a positive and encouraging learning environment. They are clearly passionate about what they do, and this shines through in their teaching. Both my children have made significant progress in their water confidence and I think regular swimming has helped a lot with their strength and physical development. The structured lessons and engaging activities have helped them develop essential swimming skills. I've been particularly impressed with how the lessons have translated into real-life safety skills. My younger child, especially, has benefited immensely, instinctively using the "turning onto her tummy" technique when climbing down from heights during everyday activities (like getting down from chairs, and at soft play). This alone has given me immense peace of mind. Puddle Ducks Nottingham has proven to be a very worthwhile investment in my children's safety and development. The combination of excellent instructors, a well-structured program, and a focus on water safety makes it a top choice for swimming lessons. I highly recommend Puddle Ducks Nottingham to any parent looking to start their child's swimming journey or wanting to build on confidence and skills in the water.”
“Lovely park to explore with a combination of a lake, river and greenery.”
“It’s a true privilege to capture the beginning of a new story, and the beauty of West Park made everything all the more magical. Such a lovely setting for an unforgettable moment. Swipe across to feel a little of the magic we shared together! ✨”
“A very beautiful place to go out with family and friends. It’s quiet and calm, especially beautiful in autumn.”
“Used to visit here on a regular basis, however this was my first visit for over 6 months. Thoroughly enjoyed walking round the lake on a sunny evening and was impressed how tidy and well kept the park was. Rowing boats available for rent, as well as mini golf and football golf. Good for families, with large grass areas for picnics and a regular ice cream van parked up. There is also a small coffee shop in the Lakeside art centre.”
