“I attended the mince pie making class tonight and it was a joy to be there.All the ingredients were laid out for when we arrived and we were taught with such ease that everyone found it enjoyable. We were able to look around the mill and the member of staff is so knowledgeable about the history he made it quite entertaining. Then a lovely glass of mulled wine accompanied by a warm mince pie was enjoyed by all. The time and effort the friendly staff put in is tremendous well done and thank you”

“The Bakewell Tart Shop & Coffee House, situated in the main street of Bakewell, is a sweet spot for anyone who digs top-quality pastries and comfort food. I have a so‑so relationship with Bakewell tarts as there are few and far between, and often they are lacklustre in London. But here their Bakewell tarts and puddings are beautifully made and genuinely good. We loved them so much that we bought both the traditional and coconut Bakewell tart slices to take back to London. I am still not a fan of the iced tarts though. We also went for the afternoon tea, it was good, though I have had better elsewhere. But the meat pie with gravy hit the mark, hearty and satisfying. Service was top‑notch, and the coffees were expertly made. The café itself has the small town charm that complements the heritage of the place. Overall, I would recommend The Bakewell Tart Shop & Coffee House especially if you are in the area and craving a properly made Bakewell tart or a comforting pie.”

“I visit Costa at Fox Valley on a regular basis. The staff there are absolutely brilliant, they are so polite, friendly and effecient. They make the best coffee ever which is always served with a smile and to add to that they work so hard and keep the place so clean and tidy. However, a highly attentive waitress promptly offered her assistance. She guided us through the ordering process, efficiently inputting our selections and applying available promotions, which resulted in a reduction of approximately £20 on our bill. The food arrived promptly, hot, and delicious, and the bottomless soft drink proved to be an excellent value. We highly recommend this establishment.”
