“We havelllƙn't been to The Cricketers Inn before, had no views from friends or family and briefly looked at a couple of reviews before booking three adults and two small dogs in for Sunday Lunch. When we got to the pub, we were faced with our first challenge - the car park was packed. Lucky for us, we found the last available slot. We'd been told that our table was in the bar area because of the dogs and, as so often happens. expected to be sat in a 'rougher' part of the pub. Not so here. The location was quiet, spotless, roomy and rather pleasant - as was all areas of the Pub. The service was excellent throughout with friendly, courteous and efficient staff. All that's left is to review the food. I was pleasantly surprised. The pork, which I selected, was loin and not belly as many pubs now serve and the vegetables are served separately. My two fellow diners chose lamb which many pubs have dropped from the menu on cost grounds. All three meals were well presented with generous portions and extremely flavoursome. All three of us (and the dogs) ⁷ùjǰhighly recommend you book your Sunday Lunch at The Cricketers Inn in the near future.”

“Really wonderful food, a treat, a destination with comfort, class, lounge, huge selection of drinks with a lovely long bar. All tastefully decorated for Xmas. Was so busy having fun that didn’t take too many pictures of the food. Thoroughly recommend oysters, Lobster Thermidor & Hake. Service spot on.”

“I had my birthday lunch at La Regata, and it was truly a wonderful experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with beautiful Spanish décor that made the meal feel extra special. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made me feel genuinely celebrated on my birthday. The food was absolutely delicious – every dish was full of flavour, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. The tapas selection was especially impressive, with a great variety to suit all tastes. La Regata exceeded my expectations, and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend a special occasion. I’ll definitely be coming back – highly recommended!”

“Lovely setting for lunch. We sat outside and watched the world go by. The waitress was lovely and really helpful. They had a separate vegan and vegetarian menu with plenty of choice. The food was delicious, so were the cocktails.”

“Had a really lovely bottomless brunch at the weekend. Sam our server was great and made it fun. Great pizzas and starters so it was a really good deal. Also - the building has lovely high ceilings so and the tables are nicely spaced. So a lovely venue, great food and great servers like Sam!”

“Exceptional attentive but not over the top service from Arati at Winchester. Really busy fully booked restaurant on the Friday before christmas. Lots of large tables but as a table 3 we did not feel left out. Drinks came out quickly, really good quality and well priced food. Very loud atmosphere so 4 stars here. Will be back again for sure.”

“Lovely garden & smoking area. Inside is a traditional pub & looked like the locals use. Had a good choice of cask ales & the granddaughters loved the hot chocolate. We'll definitely visit again & try the Sunday Roast.”

“It was quiet when we ate there for a Sunday lunch but the service was great and the food was good too. All fresh and well presented. Good wine selection and great steaks good portions, too. Great for large groups.”

“We went for our anniversary but with the intention of getting the standard 12oz ribeye as the wife is not a big eater. We ordered sides but in reality the steak and chips were plenty in itself. Steak was very well seasoned and cooked perfectly to order. I request something for the table on arrival in celebration of our anniversary. They had flowers ready and a personalised card for the wife, she loved it and it made her night. Will be back to try the chopping board selection. Thanks to all who helped organise the night.”

“We stopped here for the night in our motorhome. Very welcoming with a lovely wood fire for a very cold night. Food was delicious, I had the moving mountains burger with fries and my husband had the chilli con carnie. Very clean and tidy. Thank you”

“Popped in on Halloween night as we were running behind on dinner due to trick or treating with the kids and they left us no dinner. Saw their Facebook post on special Halloween offers so gave it a go. Lovely friendly staff, even the chef popped out in to restaurant area. Sausage and mash was lovely, nice touches and locally sourced sausages. Couldn't stay long and only moved to Swanmore 3 weeks ago so at least we know this place is a food one to go to in future. See you again soon!”

“First visit for lunch. Beautiful building, grounds and attention to detail. The staff were fantastic and the food amazing. We asked about the lovely flowers on the table. They really stood out and we were told they have a florist who comes in and is responsible for this. Then I noticed other floral arrangements at the entrance that were just stunning. I can imagine this would be a fantastic location for a wedding and many other social events! Will definitely be back.”

“Had large doner kebab and chips. Kebab meat moist, tasty and not overcooked. Salad fresh and crisp, pitta bread not soggy. Chips probably the best I’ve had from a kebab shop with no ropey crispy bits. Perfect!”

Food is fresh, delicious and tasty (service is also excellent - shout out to the two guys who served us, your customer service skills were on point!) the pictures really speak for themselves. May even be the best Lebanese we have ever tasted. Highly recommend.”

“Brilliant classic pub, unexpectedly good food, and I mean quality good food, we had squid which can be difficult to get right without over cooking and going chewy but this was perfect, even the salid side dressings which id normally ignore was delicious. We also had about 4 different members of staff come and check everything was ok including the chef!! Really shows they care about the food, Exceptional service would strongly recommend”

“Great pub, nice food and friendly welcome!! Popped in here on a Saturday lunchtime for a quick bite. It’s recently changed management and gone is the huge portions and massive menu. Nothing wrong with the old place, we’ve never had a bad meal there but the portion size was bordering on the gluttonous!! Now a slimmed down menu with a salt specials board, reasonable prices and tasty concoctions. Mixed bean chilli and a seafood madras was ordered with a pint of local Flacks double drop ale. The food arrived in short time and was decent portion size and very tasty. Both dishes came with addons as can be seen in the photos and overall a very tasty reasonably process meal. It was a bit quiet in the place although lots of tables were getting reserved signs put out for later which was a good sign. They also do a bikers night on Thursday evening’s which I believe is becoming quite popular. Overall it’s a great local pub and definitely on our list of approved hostelries!!”

“Gorgeous place - we’ve had dinner here every time we’ve visited the area now and never been disappointed. We’ve tried the ham egg and chips, steak burger (which was to die for!) and spicy pizza! All fresh and delicious. Wine superb and service was truly exceptional. Friendly staff, nothing too much trouble. And we finally got to try a dessert last night- sticky toffee pudding! Absolutely amazing!!!!!”
