“Was quite impressed with Bocca, given this is a fast serve airport restaurant. Prices are naturally higher being in the airport but overall I was pleased with the food quality for the price. Service was great and super fast. Can't complain!”

The food was really tasty and a healthy selection of dishes on the menu. Catered well for gluten free options which is great to see.”

“Great Caribbean-inspired food in a gem of a spot, this is well worth checking out. The menu isn't incredibly large, but I personally believe that means that what they do must be good. Food is cooked fresh, the service is friendly, and the portions are certainly enough to leave you full by the end. I've been a few times now, and each time I've left satisfied. Quite quiet too, which is a surprise - think it could pick up!”

“I’m from India and came to Aberdeen for office work. After trying several restaurants around the city, I can say that 8848 Restaurant is the best so far! Their Veg Thali and other dishes are absolutely delicious — full of authentic flavors and great variety. I also tried Travancore, but honestly, all the dishes there tasted very similar, which was a bit disappointing. If you're in Aberdeen and craving Indian food, I highly recommend 8848 for a satisfying and tasty experience!”

“Wonderful food, although menu could possible be expanded a bit. We had the steak with a sublime sauce, rice and peas and gorgeous fried plantain. The decor was incredibly tasteful, reflective of its African heritage in an extremely modern and fashionable style.”

“This is one of the best restaurants in Aberdeen. Located by the pier and beach, the ocean views are lovely. Staff were wonderful, friendly, helpful, and professional. The wine and drinks selections are excellent, with something for everyone. The star of the show, though, is the delicious and inventive food. I had the halibut, which was fresh and delicious, and served with baby potatoes and runner beans in a remarkably delicious sauce. My husband had the hake, perfectly cooked, with fennel salad, garlic mash, and this amazing roasted pureed garlic with basil oil. Delicious! We shared the sticky toffee pudding and misogyny caramel sauce with ice cream that was so indulgent and such an inventive take on the ubiquitous dessert. A perfect meal!”

“I really love the concept of this place – it’s simply brilliant. There’s plenty of space with cozy seating areas and tables, and the breakfast is great. The baked goods are delicious, and I especially appreciate the wide selection of organic products you can also take home. I felt very welcome here and the vibe among the staff was relaxed and friendly. It’s the kind of place where you immediately feel comfortable.”

“First time here last night for a friend's birthday meal. The food was excellent and we had attentive service from our waiter. The food was reasonably priced and our per person cost included lots of drinks & service tip!! Our table was from 4 - 7pm and then we reserved the area in their bar for a few drinks afterwards. Great place and I'll definitely be back.”

“Lovely little place, stopped in for lunch on a free day in town. Friendly staff, delicious affordable food, cozy and charming atmosphere. I had a flatbread with pastrami, peppers and cheddar and the homemade chips; everything was excellent. Loved the mismatched plates and flatware.”

“I enjoyed my meal on Sunday but I found the service bizarre. In retrospect, I wonder if we had done anything wrong. I am not sure when we arrived, but it might have been after three when they have stopped serving. My partner, who I know can be very difficult, asked the chef serving behind the Carvery, if she could have a Vegan meal. He agreed a special price for her, for just vegetables. I was given a special price, for only having a single carvery course. The problem came when we wanted to choose a table. The Sunday Girl initially insisted that we could only have a table in which the cutlery was laid out. We eventually had a table by a window which was much lighter. The extra work involved moving a knife and fork. At this point, my partner decided she did not want anything at all. So she left me on my own, which I was quite happy about. I was feeling hungry and I had wanted to eat at the Porterhouse for a long time. So far, so good. I enjoyed my meal. When I finished I stood by the entrance to pay. The Sunday Girl pointedly ignored me and chatted with her colleagues at the bar. I walked over to the bar to pay. I was presented with a bill for two people by the Sunday Girl. When I protested, the chef reduced this by half. A lot of people find these confrontations surprisingly unpleasant.”

“Finally got a chance to try this fab spot don't miss out! I entered the restaurant greeted by smiles and was seated promptly. The decor is really cool and works very well with the theme of the place. My friends were running late but the servers made sure to continuously ask me for drinks and were very friendly and welcoming. We had the Oysters, Cullen Skink, Seafood and Shellfish Linguine and Pan Seared Sea Bass. My personal favourite was the Cullen Skink it makes u feel right at home and the flavours were just mind blowing. The portion size was also very generous leaves you feeling full. We had the lunch menu which allowed us 2 courses for £22.95 which is a real steal for the fresh food and great service you receive. The food was a whole new experience for me having never really tried seafood but I will definitely be back after this experience.”

Throughout the time I was waiting for my footlongs to get ready, he talked with my 8 year old daughter about the food, how he make sandwiches and many other things and my daughter and of course myself enjoyed the talk. The footlongs are delicious and I recommend it to everyone visiting this branch.”

“Chaophraya has become our go-to Thai restaurant, we absolutely love the Birmingham location, so when my friend turned 40, we decided to celebrate at the Aberdeen location. And honestly, it didn’t disappoint! From the booking to the actual evening, everything was smooth. Oil, the manager, was so kind and professional throughout. Jessica W, our server, was lovely and made sure the night ran perfectly. We pre-ordered from the set menu so we could try a bit of everything...the food was fresh, flavourful, and absolutely delicious. The drinks and dessert were great too. They even surprised us with a few bottles of chardonnay and cake for the birthday girl, which was such a thoughtful touch. 10/10 would recommend Chaophraya if you're after a tasty, feel-good meal in a beautiful setting.
