He confidently said, “if you like coffee, ONE1 is the best in Birmingham.” If you would have said that 10 years ago, it would be easy to believe. Given the where the coffee scene in Birmingham is now, there are too many good Independents to choose. For my personal taste, Espresso Quarter, located in the Jewellery Quarter, has the best tasting oat flat white in Birmingham. Still, if you want fabulous espresso (house blend or single origin) or filter, ONE1 is a great choice. The barista has high accolades, having worked at Birmingham’s best independents including Quarter Horse. He is passionate about well crafted coffee. What’s cool. Not only is the coffee great tasting, the latte art and coffee wares are of the highest order.”

“Initially I wanted to get a takeaway dinner from Rudy’s but they were too busy for a quick takeaway collection. Went here instead and tbh this was much tastier and obviously healthier than pizza. Place is clean, food was reasonably priced and service was quick and professional! I’d go back again!”

“Came here with my mom, atmosphere is 10/10. The decorations are lovely, nice homely feel. The staff were lovely and very accommodating, always checking up on us. “Nipped in for a drink just before closing on a Sunday. 3 keg taps and a decent selection of beers in the fridge. Used to sell cask, but not any more. Lovely welcome and great little garden out the back. Will definitely be back, best place for a drink in the area”

“I had the pleasure of dining at Rising Café yesterday, and it was a fantastic experience. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with friendly staff providing excellent customer service. My wife ordered the club chicken sandwich, while I had sourdough bread topped with avocado and a fried egg. Both dishes were absolutely delicious fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Overall, we were thoroughly impressed with the quality of the food and the ambiance of the café. I’m already looking forward to returning and exploring more of their menu. Highly recommend!”

“We went for pizza and cake last week and were most impressed. We had the Napoli Pizza and the Black Velvet cake and both were lovely. The pizzas are freshly made, really tasty, and the courtyard is a lovely place to eat them. While you're there it's worth popping into the gift shop too for freshly baked bread. I definitely plan on going more often.”

“Done the highland cow experience yesterday and it was brilliant john and Mikey are so knowledgeable and were great hosts. All the cows are beautiful and very well looked after, highlight of my day was snuggling hayley the 4th and taking her for a walk aswell as brushing her. Also got to see the other animals and feed the sheep.Had a great time would definitely recommend.”

“A friend and I visited Little Taste of Heaven and couldn’t recommend it enough. We booked late on the previous day but despite this, we had a beautiful table when we arrived which comfortably had space for our two (sizeable) pushchairs. We were made to feel so welcome and the staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating. In addition to their lovely coffee, the shop is absolutely beautifully curated. I’ll definitely be returning to try their delicious cakes too!”

“Visited here with some colleagues whilst dropping a few things off at Minworth for the day. Had a brilliant English Breakfast, so we returned again for a takeaway and took some delicious Fish & Chips with Mushy Peas on the way back. Service was great and we were very well looked after.”

“All the staff are amazing especially Davis, Sonia, Mimi & several others. Everyone is super pleasant, always go over and above to make you feel comfortable. You never have to wait long for your food or drinks. I’m a regular goer and honestly I love this cafe. It’s very family orientated, whether you go with a bunch of friends, family or by yourself you never feel lonely in there. Everyone is super kind. The coffee is super fresh and really tasty, as for the food don’t even get me started. I have tried many such as the jacket potatoes with salad, the porridge with cinnamon, honey and banana, the kale smoothies from time to time and all the food I have tried is fresh and really nice. They always take pride in providing fresh food which is always presented to such a high standard. The staff are a blessing and in a place where the overall area isn’t the best this place is deffo doing erdington justice. They focus a lot on the community and it is really nice to have something like this in the erdington area.”

“Fantastic Hong Kong style dishes, with a similar vibe to a cha chaan teng (but fancier). I had the macaroni with fried egg and luncheon meat in bone broth; HK style french toast with biscoff spread; and HK milk tea. I feel much more prepared to take on the cold winter now! Reasonable prices for the quantity and quality of food.”

“Had a very good experience, the wait was around 40 minutes and food took another 30/40 minutes which is quite a wait however the food made up for it and it was well worth the wait. Food quality was on point, tasted amazing and since I visited while there was offers on it was well worth the money. Banging food. The girls who take the orders were a great help with everything and I have no complaints.”
