“Excellent Surgery On Friday June 20th , to avoid the heat, I came indoors. A good chance to try the new triage system. I wished to request an appointment, in the future. I was wary BUT no need. I felt the new system worked well. Within 10 minutes I had a phone call from a Dr ,advising me of an appointment available in 30 minutes, if I could make it! Yes I could .That must be the quickest appointment in history. I totally understand this was a lucky chance but it can happen.”

It's naturally frustrating when you're unwell and feeling anxious as a patient to have to wait a very long time to see a specialist. I met some lovely people in the waiting room. Chatting and even having a giggle felt good. Most importantly I really appreciate every member of staff I met. Everyone was helpful, friendly as well as being extremely professional. “The practice is easily the best GP surgery I've ever been a patient at. I have a complex medical history and the doctors, both permanent staff and locum GPs, have taken a holistic approach to looking at symptoms and long term health, and have been proactive about referrals for further tests and diagnostics. I was recently referred to a private practice under the NHS right to choose process and they then accepted my treatment under a shared care plan, which not all GPs will do. I see the nurse team quarterly for ongoing treatment as well as ad hoc appointments and always find them to be working efficiently, friendly, and reassuring, even when under pressure. Generally I haven't had issues at getting same day appointments when needed and routine appointments are usually available without much delay. The reception team have always been helpful when I call in urgent need even after they've run out of appointments and have done their best to fit in a phone call with a GP so I can get an urgent prescription arranged. I have moved around the city over the years and I'm now living well outside of the normal practice boundaries but I happily travel to the practice and I'm grateful that they still accept me as a patient.”

They were all absolutely lovely and made me feel like I was in good hands. While it wasn't necessary to have a blood test, they gave me the option to have one in order to eliminate a possible (but rare) cause of what may be causing my symptoms, and they were able to squeeze me in on the same day and even inform me of the results later that afternoon by text message. That really gave me some piece of mind. I was very impressed by the service.”

“I ordered from here before I saw all the 1 star results. I was pretty worried but the process was actually great. It was originally an antigen test, but when the new restrictions came in they emailed me and let me upgrade to PCR for about £35. I was emailed when the test was dispatched, with a link that would enable me to track my completed test return. The PCR was waiting for me when I got home. I completed it and sent it off. I checked the tracking link and it had arrived to the lab by the next day. My results were then available on the patient area by the following day. Really pleased with the whole process and enabled me to get out of self isolation really quickly. Would recommend and use again.”

She was extremely helpful, listened to what I had to say and followed up with me getting some tests. I felt like she genuinely cared, and this helped put my mind to rest. Two weeks later, I had my blood taken by Samantha Edgar. This is the first time I'd had blood taken, and it was quick and painless. Overall, a very positive experience at Grange Road Surgery!”
