“I went to the take away restaurant and only wait 10-15 min to have my meal ready. I ordered the Samosas as starters, the Palau Rice (the cashier' recommendation), the Honey Lamb and the Garlic Nan Bread. The plates are delicious, great portions and great price. I'm very happy with the services. The cashier who served me was very nice, the food was very yummy and they have prepared it very quick. I 100% recommend it. I will come back again soon. “We had an excellent meal tonight from Cooking Master Indian takeaway in Old Cwmbran. It was all freshly cooked right in front of us in an open kitchen. The ingredients were all fresh and the meal tasted amazing. We highly recommend you try this out. We will never go anywhere else now that we have discovered this place. The takeaway looked so clean and fresh.”

“My second visit whilst visiting Bristol from Newport. This place is epic, some items could be a bit cheaper but it's absolutely brilliant and sells everything! Items like rare Brut Musk deodorant to great blackout curtains and tea sets. It's neat and tidy and just had a simple, old school feel to it, still haven't fully explored it, looking forward to my next visit. Cafe looks simple yet decent, turning over nicely (11:30am ish).”

“Was looking for something local for dinner and curry mahal did not disappoint! Ordered to collect from restaurant, the owner was welcoming and chatty as we waited to our order. We got and jalfezi and shatkora which was so flavourful and unique, explains why it’s the owner’s favourite. Only regret was not sitting in, we definitely be back!”

“You can’t get an impression of the place from the front door, which is nondescript to say the least. Once you’ve made it up the stairs though, it opens out into a very nice dining area (impressive ceiling and murals). Food was excellent and the service very good. I didn’t catch our waiter’s name, but he was very jolly.”

Friendly efficient service, the order was ready exactly at the time we requested and the food was fresh and vibrant, very nicely spiced and reasonably priced. “Brilliant Indian. Lovely staff. Great set menu deal when we there on a Thursday...which let you choose virtually anything off the menu. And the sizes were really good even though it was an offer. They do charge a service charge...but we would have left a tip anyway drinks prices were reasonable as well. Food was really good.”

“After having contacted James and asking him several questions which he answered thoroughly, we decided to go for the Tandooriq XL. Having ordered it on the Thursday it was here by the Tuesday and when I unwrapped it found it to be in perfect condition. I spoke to James several more times asking his advise and he was always more than happy to help. Although we haven't yet used the XL at a catering event as intended, we have been practising with it and are chuffed to bits with the result. I found it first time round tricky to light but now use small kindling blocks just to keep it going long enough for the charcoal burn. Once it's up and running though it lasts hours. Our first outing we had it going for 8hrs. We've cooked chicken, pork, pigs cheek, beef, veg skewers and naans on it. And they all taste great. I highly recommend a Tandoor to anyone from Tandooriq. And the customer service was exceptional. Couldn't ask for anymore.”

“We arrived shortly after opening, warmly greeted by the staff who took us through the menu options explaining the differences between the Punjabi and Fusion dishes. We ordered the Seafood Medley from the Punjabi menu and Pork belly from the fusion. I can quite easily say this is one of the most enjoyable meals of my life. The flavours were phenomenal and the quality of ingredients and the love with which you can tell it was cooked shine through. Also do not miss the Kulfi milkshake and home made mango lassi *chefs kiss* Headed home with a happy belly and already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you Pipal Tree :)”

“Excellent BEEF CHOW-MAIN & curry sauce with prawn crackers. You can’t beat this local Chinese chippy . Great staff fast service & very popular takeaway restaurant in Hartcliffe & Withywood. There not currently taking card payments at the moment so make sure you take cash yeah . You won’t get better food in this area I travel a long way just to get food from the Red Onion. Awesome food , I give give it 5 stars .”
