The gentleman who helped me could not have been more helpful, he helped me pick the correct type of paint, was genuinely interested in what I was using it for, and didn't rush me at all during the process. Here we have friendly staff and customer friendly payment tills, happy with cash,card payments and no customer-repelling self service tills which are clearly inadequate for larger items. “Bedroom perfectly comfortable and clean but could do with attention to dated window frames that allowed a little cold in. However, along with a standard radiator a freestanding electric one is supplied. Communal areas of reception, the bar and dining hall are all very tasteful. The greatest asset of this hotel is the staff who are so obliging and friendly. A super breakfast with friendly staff sets each day off perfectly. The evening meals are of a very high standard all served with a pleasant rapport. We may have arrived curtesy of a bargain coach holliday but were treated like we arrived in a Bentley.”

Yesterday I ordered their large nacho box with vege chilli and it was packed to the brim with everything, absolute bargain if you ask me. I only ever get the vege chilli so can’t speak for the other options but I always enjoy what I go for!! The service is always amazing, I’m a big fan of extra cheese so I tend to leave a cheeky little note asking for a bit extra and they always oblige. They also always leave a cute little drawing and a note on the bag which always puts a smile on my face (I’ve attached a photo of my fav note so far). Overall, good price, tasty food and lovely staff :)”

“We go to codmeston cafe regularly and have always been warmly welcomed even though I have a muzzled. Sometimes reactive to strangers dog. I recently read a review on here that said dogs were unwelcome when muddy and that the staff were rude, so I was reluctant to take my wet, muddy girl in - but it was raining hard, so I went for it. The second we walked through the door, my dog ran over to the manager and was greeted with such a huge welcome that (although she’s usually reactive with strangers) she was totally won over. The lady (who I later found out was the manager called Emma if my memory serves me correctly) was fussing her, tickling her tummy. Laughing and simply gave us the warmest welcome we could ever hope for. My girl had sausages and I had a toasted tea coke and the experience was lovely. I absolutely have to dispute any review which speaks negatively of dogs in the cafe. My experience couldn’t have been further from it.”

“Been here a few times when visiting family. Overall swimming with the kids is great fun. Never used any of the gym facilities so can't comment there. It's a great place to book kids birthday parties as they have a bouncy castle for the kids. Best to book a couple of months in advance as it's particularly popular. Only one gripe I have is their tea at reception tastes awful - tasted like a mix of coffee and tea so maybe avoid that. But overall it's a great place for swimming and kids birthday parties”

This is the second time we've been and as like last time the food was hot fresh and good. There were 8 orders ahead of us but we were served fast. Plenty of options to choose from if you like mexican food and pretty cheap compared to other fast food options. The restaurant was clean and tidy also despite how busy it was.
