“Came here as a tourist looking for a drink and ended up having a great time. Enough so that the rest of our crew came to check it out without us and had an ever better time!”
“Only been once plan to go again didn't have food so can't recommend”
“Pub near Portobello , townhall. A nice place for drinks with Live Music. One a play dart game as well here. Dart game is free. They don't serve any kind of food Also they accept only cash payment”
“Great selection of draft and bottled beer, reasonably speedy service, comfortable seating, pool tables and a beer garden. I was here for a birthday party on a Saturday night. Everybody had a great time especially the birthday girl who was well catered for and delighted with the choice of venue. We had a large area reserved and it was easily able to accommodate about 15-20 people across two tables. They pride themselves on their beer selection, some of it is on draft but most comes in bottles. The prices are reasonable for the area and the atmosphere is a mix between the George street style and the more intimate vibe more common in Leith. There is not much space for dancing but that isn't a major drawback for me personally. The beer garden is still 'coming soon' but it will be a regular haunt in the summer months. It is a nice alternative to the George street scene in the same part of town and I am sure I'll be back in the near future.”
“Went in Saturday great local shame foods stopped was a great lunch stop before (please come back food )”
“Amazing afternoon at Stramash with family and friends, including a 6year old, for whom it was her first experience. She’s hooked! She wanted to dance every dance, and loved dancing with ‘Santa’ (a look alike character). The music was brilliant! Can’t wait to return next year. Well done Stramash!”
“The new chef and the new menu is what Roseburn terrace needed for extra food in the area. Bar service from both the boy and girl were top notch. Nice big screen for the sports, overall clean. Will be back”
“Lovely wee boozer, it's no the dome and it's definitely no the Balmoral and thats what makes it so refreshing - it's real Edinburgh.”
“Lovely little find. Food and service were wonderful, really friendly helpful waitress. Prices reasonable and plenty of choices available. Will defo return.”
“Local pub with good value meals. Tasty food, lovely staff. Very accommodating for allergies / intolerances too. James is an absolute star - always brightening up the atmosphere, thanks for great service.”
“I visited Three Sisters to watch a rugby game, and the experience was fantastic. The outdoor setup was impressive—spacious, well-organized, and designed for convenience. The open area allowed for easy movement, and ordering food or drinks was quick and hassle-free. The highlight of the outdoor space was the massive screen, ensuring a great viewing experience from almost any angle. Inside, the atmosphere was even better. The seating was well thought out, with booths accommodating groups of four, six, or even more, each equipped with its own TV screen. This setup created a more intimate and immersive viewing experience while still maintaining the lively pub atmosphere. Overall, Three Sisters is an excellent venue for watching sports, socializing, and enjoying great food and drinks. Highly recommended!”
“Brilliant lunch. The lovely new family that have taken this over have found a great chef and the food was tremendous. The restaurant has been brilliantly renovated and they told us about more plans in the near future. This place is finally reaching its potential as a proper quality Scottish gastro pub.”
“Great experience with our stay! Preeti and Chelsea welcomed us at the reception for the check in with a great and positive attitude. For dinner we found great food at decent pricing and the service was really fast and food was delivered piping hot! At breakfast we had lots of options so there are options for all ages. All the staff and ambiance were great and welcoming, making us feel like we were customers since forever. I definitely recommend as the experience was a definition of hospitality and great service!”
“Food is fantastic. Lounge is quite. But it’s the little things which make a huge difference: Fresh tablet and Tunnock‘s tea cakes! Even Monin syrup for your coffee. Love it!!”
“Food amazing!! Staff also very friendly. We ordered starter and mains but we had extra break with salsa at the beginning, then extra shot of alocohol at the end. Nice small restaurant with good atmosphere.”
“Absolutely LOVED this place. I went there twice on my recent trip and hung out with the locals and everyone was friendly! The prices were awesome, and I even managed to catch a soccer (sorry, FOOTBALL) match while I was there. Seeing everyone get so into it was amazing. Truly great spot.”
“lovely place. delicious food and fair prices.”
“We found this pub across the street from Sheraton where we were staying. Nice inside, all of our food was delicious and fortunately an “uncrowded” night. Concert hall right next door, so I’ll bet it gets jammed on occasion.”
“My great friend Maggie Dickson asked me to come to her house so naturally I googled “Maggie Dicksons” to find my way there. She lives in a town called Edinburgh of the Seven Seas in Tristan da Cunha so I was very surprised to find I could just get here in a 4 hour train journey from London - a far cry from the 8 day boat journey she told me about. I called her when I arrived as I bought her a pint, annoyingly she wasn’t here and was still in the central Atlantic Ocean - but I did enjoy the beers and will be back here again. Maggie if you’re reading this please come and find this pub in Edinburgh (not of the 7 seas) - it’s very convivial. I’ll be back”
“I liked the atmosphere. Not the best quality food but it’s really cheap and fine. The best prices in the town both for food and drink.”
“Lovely place for tasty food, great staff and good drinks selection. Clean & tidy also.”
“Good food. Fast friendly service. You can always tell when Andy is working as it all runs smoothly. Four stars for atmosphere because it was a Wednesday night and quiet. Shame the steak is off the set menu but appreciate the price of beef at the moment.”
“I had heard from my neice about the mixed grill in the Saltire and I'm glad she suggested it as it was the best meal I have had in a very long time it was stunning. I said to Nathan that I enjoyed my meal more than I had in other places and I said I would be back for more and I certainly will be soon. Top food and service made even better with Nathan asking if everything was fine mid meal.”
“Had a fantastic visit here with friends. We went in for lunch and were told about the new which had just started the previous day. We took the koftas based on recommendation from the member of staff and really enjoyed them. Good service from friendly staff. Noticed an advertisement for a quiz on a Thursday so will need to go back for that soon. Keep up the good work”
“Love this little pub. Great to go to for a quiet drink or with a group of friends. Bar staff are lovely and the drinks are really good value.”
“The food is scored based on a good packet of crisps. Good local pub. Pool table. Decent pint. Don't need anything else.”
“Sound Leith boozer. Choons, Pool table, darts, TV. Regulars are easy-going, staff and management mix well with both regulars and new faces. A warm welcome. Get in.”
“The Coach and Horses is under new management - it's a dog friendly, welcoming local with a good range of live music, karaoke and fab jukebox. Recommend a visit.”
“Took the kids in for an early dinner and the staff were really good with them. The pizza was a hit and the place had a nice, relaxed family-friendly vibe for the early evening.”
