“We had an outstanding 3 course festive meal as a group of 9 on a busy Friday night. The food was incredible - every plate was cleared and everyone throughly enjoyed their choices. The service was fab we were well looked after. Can’t wait to go back!”

“A lovely place on a wet and dull day - can imagine how it would be on a lovely summer day with the pond. Food and service was great. Nice and clean venue well laid out and not cramped. Also noted as extremely dog friendly. When I pulled into the parking on the main road I didn't see a sign for the Boathouse but assumed it was that building (which it was!)”

“I have to update my review . Visited the restaurant again, chicken was old , not tasty and not cooked well. Very disappointed. So revising my review Had a meal a few times here.. chicken is cooked with like peri peri sauce is amazing . You can choose rice and sides, but the rice is warmed up in microwave. Service is good and good people to talk to.”

“We were here for our 2nd year wedding anniversary today. It was a fantastic place to eat and we really enjoyed our dinner. The atmosphere was cool and the staff were very welcoming. We got a very good portion for our dinner and it was just perfectly cooked, it was so delicious . I am looking forward to go back next week again. “I dropped in to Mirage this evening with the Mrs for a pint and a few starters. The place wasn't busy at all, which is a shame as the food was very tasty and keenly priced. They pour a good pint as well. Staff were really friendly and stopped to chat to us which was nice. I really hope business picks up as this is a wee gem of a restaurant. Will be back.”

“This place has been given a fantastic make over. Great service and very reasonable prices. I had the beef burger with haggis and my husband and friend had the chicken burger and the chicken fajitas, all very tasty and fresh. £6 for a strawberry daiquiri is roughly the same as Glasgow prices but they were delicious. Will definitely need to go back and fully recommend.”

“Wonderful little cafe, busy but the service team was amazing and totally kept on top of orders with the efficiency of a well oiled machine. Food was just superb, highlights were hash browns being crunchy packets of fluffy potato, & the black pudding was top restaurant quality cooked to perfection. Best breakfast I’ve had in a very very long time, and not by a small margin. I’ll definitely be coming back, just to check it’s not a one-off! 11/10 - would recommend”

“3rd Visit. All Visits have been great. Girl behind the bar is polite and takes good care of you. I never have to wait around for another drink. Food is good, well presented and very reasonably priced. The owner (I think) is also pleasant, nice lady to chat with. Dog friendly. They have little handmade dog biscuit's where the proceedings go to a good cause. Great establishment !!”

“We came for a 1 night stay due to work. This hotel has a luxurious ambient vibe as soon as you walk through the door. The attention to detail is fantastic. We dined in the bar and grill and the staff were fantastic. Every single staff member we encountered from the reception to bar to dining were fantastic. The room itself (super king) was spacious comfortable and clean. The decor was very nice. Our meal in the bar and grill was outstanding so compliments to the chef. The rump roast beef was one of the best roast beef dinners I've ever had. I have gone out of my way to write this review because the staff deserve it and nowadays with money being tight across the board people want to great service and this is what we were given. Will be returning and recommending to all friends and family”

“Myself, friends, and family have all been going here for years now. The lady who answers the phone and the man who cooks are always really nice and friendly. The food is always really good and well priced for what it is. Would recommend to anyone who's looking for good cafe food or simple rolls. I can't understand any of the negative reviews.”

“We go to Kimbo when we’ve been shopping at The Avenue . We have coffee and cake or lunch and we’re always so impressed by the staff and the food! Each member of staff is really pleasant and considerate. They remember what you like to eat, suggest alternatives and bring it to the table. Everything is done to make customers comfortable.”

“Redstones Hotel Uddingston is a modern, comfortable hotel, bar & restaurant. From the menu you can choose from either a very generous side order to an extremely tasty main meal with a good choice of desserts. Prices were reasonable & the bar/restaurant area where we dined was immaculate! Covid-19 precautions were inplace throughout, i.e the wearing of face coverings, social distancing & hand sanitiser. The staff were very friendly & helpful, service with a smile! You can just walk-in or if you prefer, you can book in advance, which I would suggest doing so Friday-Sunday. There are spacious washrooms for all abilities. The hotel is surrounded by a beautiful garden with outdoor heating & lighting surrounding the many benches & tables, lovely to Sit outside even in the colder weather. Would recommend a visit, even if just for the hot chocolate!”

“We did the Thai cooking class and it was great fun! We were shown how to make dumplings as well as massaman curry in a really easy way that can be replicated at home. The hostess and chef were very knowledgeable and approachable. Would definitely recommend this experience.”
