“I was very nervous about having surgery but I shouldn’t have been as I had the best care and my recovery time was much better and much shorter than I had anticipated or imagined. I am very grateful to everyone involved in my radical hysterectomy surgery and recovery time. I’d heard everyone is really nice at the Royal in Glasgow and honestly.. they are. They all go above and beyond and are excellent in what they do. If you are reading this because you are going there please know you will be in the very best hands and your recovery time might pleasantly surprise you too. They are the best.”

The reception are very helpful in all our needs, if, when who and times. There is a computer on the wall you type your date of birth when you come in for your appointment, just confirmed your name and take a seat, then sit down and your name will come up on the wall TV and hear it too. Nice nice nice. I came for my appointment 30 mins before I was due to see the nurse. I was in and out before my appointment time. How cool is that. Nice one.”

My partner had a bad accident and broke her leg, we had to come and stay with family in the area after her surgery as we live on a 4th floor flat in Edinburgh and she couldn't do the stairs. Needed to arrange an appointment 10-14 days after her surgery to get staples removed and would have been difficult/painful getting her in the car to go back to Edinburgh. Called multiple surgeries who said they couldn't help and then called the Oaks, the staff could not have been more helpful. All very efficient and managed to get the appoinment arranged on time despite being closed for all the public holidays. Massive thank you to the team.”

I've still received prompt and excellent care - I filled in the online form and had a face to face appointment soon after. The Dr took my symptoms and concerns seriously and I felt listened too. Some of the negative comments below are unfair and clearly written by people with personality issues who don't understand why the NHS has had to adjust to extremely challenging circumstances.”

“Have been with this practice for over 40 years and never had an issue with them. Yes, you need to queue up outside at 8.30 to get an appointment, but that is down to growing population, which has doubled in that time and a lack of GPs generally. Moodiesburn alone has a population of over 7K and there are 6-10 doctors, 3 dispensing practitioners and 3 nurses. Factor in other communities to see the pressure... People are living longer, so need more medical care. There's only so much they can do and my family and I have always been well looked after by them”
