“A great wee hotel by the park in the West End of Glasgow, in easy reach of venues and restaurants. Was welcomed warmly on arrival, and the room was of a higher standard than I expected for the price. I opted for the full breakfast which was well worth it, and overall found the Acorn Hotel comfortable, clean, and very good value for this part of town. Will stay again when visiting.”

“Have stayed twice in the past 6 months. Staff are always incredibly friendly and helpful. Cleanliness is to a high standard. The location is perfect for access to a bustling street Great Western Road and also Kelvinbridge Station. However within the hotel there is no traffic noise at all.”

“Had a lovely meal with my wife on 29th of December, restaurant was busy but not overcrowded so a nice relaxing atmosphere. Staff were attentive and food was good quality, tasty and served quickly. We will definitely return!”

“We have used Ingliston for many occasions, including our wedding in 2022! We have stayed in the lodges and the hotel, and eat at the restaurant often! It’s a beautiful place in a quiet area, and at Christmas their lights are amazing! Highly recommend for any events, well organised, and friendly helpful staff.”

They know exactly what they’re doing and had everything done so we were able to just enjoy our day and go with the flow. “We stayed one night here before traveling north. It is in a very quiet area and easy to find. Parking was right on grounds. Staff very helpful and offered to make a reservation for our meal that evening. The rooms were clean and well proportioned. They had the pull out made up already for our daughter which was very accommodating. Breakfast was enjoyable and very delicious. Serving staff attentive. Would stay again.”

“Was here for a family celebration for a group of around 20. Kitchen and serving staff are at the top of their game. Beautiful setting and surrounding gardens. Everyone had a great time thanks to the staff here. Will definitely consider booking here for another event in future.”

“We had a great stay here for two nights. Room was exceptional, food, equally. We ate here twice, one dinner and one breakfast…both were excellent. The service from all staff was superb and a happy hour in the lobby (complimentary each day) was a great touch. We found it centrally located and would return again when in Glasgow.”

“My daughter and I stayed here for my brothers wedding and from start to finish we were made to feel welcome! The room was brilliant, loads of space and a tv in the bathroom! Dinner and breakfast were excellent and the staff were very kind and attentive. The wedding was beautiful and everything was spot on! Thank you very much for such an enjoyable stay :)”

“Excellent stay at this practical and well-located hotel. Directly across from the Kelvin Walkway and Botanical Gardens, the hotel is midway between student dorms and the UofG, making it the perfect location for visiting the university. The staff is warm and helpful. Rooms are clean and basic, with drawers for clothing. Provided toiletries are minimal, but there’s plenty of tea and coffee in the room. Towels are surprisingly fluffy! Cons: rooms are not the most soundproofed, but the area is quiet, as is the hotel.”

“Stayed for 2 nights, we were a group of 9 people. Very clean and great staff. The staff are very helpful and are always on hand to help. If up around this way again, will definitely stay here again. Fresh breakfast with plenty of choice.”

“My wife and I took my mother for a meal at Dalziel Park Hotel. The venue looks great, it was dark, but inside is very nice and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The food was brilliant. The only complaint was my wife and mother were given a fork to eat a sundae!! Desert spoons please Dalziel Park! That aside, well worth a visit.”

“It's just a wee bit of a drive from West Lothian but it is certainly worth it. Its a great hospital everything about it is the best. The staff from start to finish are all amazing they can't do enough for you. Anyone that is having to go there I highly recommend it.”

“Such a beautiful place. Staff were so accommodating, helpful and attentive. I arrived late, they carried our bags to the room and kept the bar open so we could have some drinks. Even booked us breakfast, which is cooked to perfection. (Good choice of continental also) The room is the biggest I've stayed in. It's clean, great facilities, beautiful views and the complimentary gifts are the icing on the cake. There was a wedding party staying the same night and I never heard a sound. Wish I was able to stay longer. *Google sends you down the wrong turn. It's the one after*”

“No need to book in. Rooms clean and tidy and for what we were doing a great wee H.Q. I well recommend it for City Centre stays. Oh by the way the staff are brilliant and the breakfast was terrific ( we got there too late for a dinner).”

“First time in this bar, was welcomed with a friendly lady behind the bar ( Sharon). Has a lovely cosy feel about the place. Great selection of drinks behind the bar. Especially whiskey. Prices are cheaper than the other bar up the road. Even the locals welcomed us. Would definitely recommend .”

“Very enjoyable stay here over new year and a good base for exploring central scotland. The breakfast was delicious and with generous portions, room was warm and shared spaces always open and inviting. Overall, excellent value and should be back as there is lots to see in the area that we missed on this visit. Thanks for a great stay”

“Wiffy and I didn't stay in the rooms but as a family owned and in the main operated business, The Old School guest house is on the right track. Really friendly place and the breads cakes and food is all made on site, the pride in themselves is the unique selling point as its pride across the board. Just popped in for a toasties and a beer. We will be back in for a restaurant meal V,soon.”

“Aways a good vibe. Lovely staff and decor. Good food at a reasonable price. Breakfast is amazing with the main hot food order taken and served to your table (no hot food buffet). Lots of parking and electric car charging. Handy for motorway.”

“Took my husband here for his birthday, absolutely amazing! Staff are so welcoming and friendly! A young man who showed us to the room brought champagne to the room after he found out it was my husbands birthday which was such a nice gesture. Food is incredible definitely 5*. Ambience and grounds surrounding the hotel are gorgeous. Really beautifully refurbished hotel, spotless and gorgeous decor. Spa was 10/10 we enjoyed some lovely massages and the outdoor hot tub was great. Will definitely be back.”

“We visited balloch this morning as it was a lovely day. We walked round the waterfront, visited the country park castle and then looked for somewhere for lunch. We looked at a few places but the Waterside Inn looked the most friendliest and welcoming. We stopped for lunch, I had the macaroni and my husband had the chicken burger. The food was delicious and I would definitely eat here again! We even got a cheeky wee discount on our drinks. 10/10”

“We only stayed one night and got up well rested for another day of driving through the highlands. Very nice room with a big bed, very fresh high quality linens and towels, very nice, although maybe a little bit small, bathroom with a tub and shower. The adjoining diner makes a great breakfast. Very friendly service both in the hotel and the diner.”

“My parents recently celebrated their Diamond Wedding anniversary back at The Parkville. This was their wedding venue 60yrs ago. They had a beautiful lunch on October 20th with family and everyone was so kind and made everyone feel really special. All the staff really looked after my parents and showed a real interest in their wedding memories. Food was excellent and consensus was that the lunch was just as good or perhaps even better than the wedding meal 60yrs ago! Special thanks to Lynne who went above and beyond to make my parents Diamond Wedding celebrations, a real gem of an occasion. Thank you.”

“Came to Angels last week with my daughter and husband for breakfast. Was served by Ola and wow what a service. She was very attentive, kind and took the time to speak with myself and my daughter, who is four. What a lovely, kind woman and this is the reason I’ll be back. Kindness is hard to find these day, and Ola gave this in abundance. Breakfast was excellent-love the new brunch menu! Can’t wait to come back again!”
