“We stayed just for one night as we were travelling up to glencoe. The fact that our dog was allowed in and the rooms were of high-quality made it even more special. We arrived in the evening and they managed to fit us in the restaurant. The food was great, generous portions and cooked fresh! We woke up early in the morning and had a dog walk around the golf course with the map that they provided to witness a spectacular sunrise. After the walk, we went to the spa and wow! If you stay here, make sure you check into the spa with the facilities they have it was amazing. After that, we had a lovely breakfast with great views and great service. Would stop here again.”
“Had a lovely meal here with a large family group. Everyone agreed the food was excellent, my steak pie was very good. And the following day for a funeral afternoon tea. Beautifully done, tables perfect and food perfect. Staff were excellent. All in all pleased we chose the Fenwick Hotel! Several family members staying here also who were very complimentary.”
“Beautiful clean room with the most amazing bed! Tea and coffee provided with a kettle, TV, and luxurious towels. Free Wi-Fi too, which works very well. Fantastic staff, totally recommend.”
“Never stayed at the hotel but have been in for food a few times and haven't been disappointed yet. Their coffee and cake offer is good if you want a quick bite, afternoon tea was lovely and their main menu offers a fair bit of choice. Service has always been good, haven't waited too long for food. We do enjoy the craft fayres although would be good to see a bit more variety/more food stalls.”
“Family run hotel, very relaxed vibes and welcoming. The food is real and hearty. The staff are warm and accommodating. The rooms are standard but very clean, dont expect modern but I believe that reflected in the price point. Beautiful venue for getting married. I got married here in 2013 and since then it has been updated with beautiful led dance floor and twinkly lights on the ceilings. Quite stunning. Highly recommend!”
“Just spent two fantastic days at the Torrance Hotel, celebrating my Son’s Wedding, everything was amazing the venue and attention to detail was spot on, the staff throughout the hotel were all just lovey and very attentive, nothing was too much trouble, the meal at the Wedding reception was delicious as was the food we had in the restaurant, I have had many messages from friends & family saying what a fantastic day they all had, all complementing on the meal and the hotel in general. I would highly recommend this hotel as a Wedding Venue, or even for a visit to the restaurant, you won’t be disappointed.”
“Local to us but hadn’t tried their restaurant before - though seen good things online! We were in the regular restaurant as Sidings wasn’t open so we’ll be back to try that. It was midweek during the day and wasn’t busy. Service was quick and we were checked in on regularly. They have a good Market Menu Monday - Friday, 12pm - 4pm. We went for 2 courses for £14.95. Drinks are reasonably priced too. Went for the haggis fritters to start and the fish and chips for the main - really tasty and quick to come out!”
“Well what an amazing day, Lorraine, Amy and their staff did an outstanding job. Our wedding couldn’t have gone any better. From start to finish it was so professional and magical. The staff were outstanding and very helpful. Amy and Lorraine you both are stars, you made me feel not only clam but also beautiful. Honestly wouldn’t off had my wedding at any other venue you have all made my dream wedding come true we are forever grateful. Love the new Mr & Mrs York”
“Our stay was great. We came with a child that has sensory issues so they upgraded us free of charge to a room that was on a quite side. Not around the area where the weading are being held. Staff was really nice. Great place to start your journey. I do recommend this place if you have a car. Not sure what are the options for public transport. I will defenatley be coming back”
“I recently attended a wedding at this hotel restaurant, and I was truly impressed. The service was excellent—warm, attentive, and very professional. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The dessert was absolutely exquisite, a perfect finale to a wonderful meal. Everything was organized perfectly, making the celebration even more special. I highly recommend this place for both dining and special events!”
“Had Sunday dinner there after a walk up Dumgoyne. Fantastic. The staff really went out of their way for us and the food was Brill. Loved it. Thank you!”
“We were given the afternoon tea as a gift. We had no problem booking it. The atmosphere was lovely and peaceful with nice background music. The service (we had Callum) was excellent, personal and quick. The food was delicious and really fresh. The scones were still warm from the oven! My partner said the espresso martini was one of the best he'd had in any bar.”
“Warm welcome from the staff. Table was all set and ready for our party of 14. Food was amazing. Piping hot and large portions. Everything was delicious. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys good food in lovely stylish surroundings. Very reasonable prices.”
“Wonderful venue for our wedding. Special mention to Mia who went above and beyond to have the day running seamlessly. Food was superb and all the staff were lovely to speak to from start to finish. Our guests have since made return trips on their own to have another go on the menu the food was so nice.”
“Nice room. Nice place. Located a bit away from the city centre. Code to get in the front door if you come in late at night.”
“Great place. Everywhere is clean. Cleaning every day. The room is spacious. There is a large and beautiful park nearby. Shops and pubs within walking distance.”
“My daughter and I stayed here for 3 nights last week. The hotel is in an ideal location for The Kelpies and The Falkirk Wheel. Both reached by walking along the canal path. The room we had was in the annexe and was clean however parts of the bathroom could do with some small attention. Very good hot shower. The beds were comfy and there was a large TV on the wall. There was no noise from the nearby road, but we could hear the room above us walking around. A fan was given on request as the room was warm at night. The windows cannot be opened. Teabags, coffee, sugar, and milk in room on arrival and spares in the lobby to replenish when needed, without having to ask. Our breakfast order was taken and served piping hot by a polite and attentive member of staff, who also replenished the buffet and relaid tables quickly. The breakfast area was lovely, a shame they no longer open for meals in the evening, although we can recommend The Coppertop nearby. We were very apprehensive about staying at the hotel from the reviews but our experience proved ideal for us and we were not disappointed.”
“What a great place to stay in Falkirk. The rooms were extremely clean, beds comfy, and the bar served great food, and very affordable pints. Lastly the staff and owners were awesome and truly care, we had such a great time staying here. Edinburgh wishes they had places like this. Thank you so much - Andrew and Diana from Canada.”
“We had my Mums wake here on Tuesday 21st October 25 and I cant stress enough how amazing everything was. The great service, the delicious food, the cakes!!!! the accommodation, the lovely staff.. Happy to recommend The Park Hotel to people. Well done indeed.”
“Had a great stay. Room was clean and decent bed. A bit weird the reception’s setup… Amazing view from the higher levels”
“I have just had dinner in the Ivory and I must say it was delicious. Compliments to the chef. I cannot begin to say how lovely the waitress is. She certainly knows the etiquette of Good Friendly Customer Service.”
“Delightful place to eat especially for the narrow canal people. The atmosphere is lovely and very restful/peaceful. The wait staff are personable and professional. Service was impeccable. Options provide a variety of well prepared. There are also vegan items on the menu.”
“So clearly a party palace for the city. However the beds were clean and comfy, and other than a Sunday bin collection at 7am... it was pretty peaceful, even though it is situated in a busy area of town. The suite had clear signs of being used for parties.... with sellotape marks on walls. And smelled of smoke. And some idiot had stole the light bulbs from the bedside lamps. Something cleaners wldnt have noticed as they probably dont put the small lights on in daylight when they clean. Other than that. . For a girls trip.. we wld book again. Did not use the spa as had no time.”
“Enjoyed our 1 night stay - ideal for visiting Hamilton Races. Room was comfortable, breakfast was very good. Price was spot on, made to feel welcome, Would recommend”
“Went for spa day and afternoon tea. Both therapists were absolutely amazing we both left feeling relaxed and refreshed. Both so attentive, nothing wS too much trouble. Afternoon tea was also amazing and they catered for us as vegetarians. Will be back. Highly recommend.”
“I had such a great stay here! The room was super clean and the bedding was so comfy—I slept like a dream every night. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options to choose from, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure I felt welcome. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and made the whole experience even better. I would definitely stay here again! We've stayed all around Scotland and this was by far our favorite place!”
“My husband and I had an overnight stay at The Commercial Hotel and would definitely recommend it. There is a spacious car park at the rear of the hotel. Very friendly staff at check in (sorry can't remember the ladies name who checked us in & also served us at dinner and breakfast). I was lucky enough to get one of the first two rooms downstairs with a balcony. The room itself was spotless. There were plenty of tea's and coffees available with complimentary biscuits, it was a nice touch. After settling in the room we went down to the bar for food, the steak and sausage pie is delicious I would definitely recommend trying it. Later that night after returning from a birthday party the nightclub was in full swing, you couldn't hear anything from the downstairs room but if you walked up to the top floor you could hear the music blaring. For those looking for a quieter stay I recommend asking for the lower floor rooms. The only criticism I can add is that I had trouble connecting to the WiFi in the room but in fairness that didn't really bother me. I do have to say though after having a delicious meal at dinner time I was very disappointed with the breakfast. The Scottish breakfast came out with scrambled egg which was disgusting and tasted burnt, the sausage wasn't that great either, the only nice thing's on the plate were the black pudding and potato scone. We would definitely love to return for a visit even if it is only to have the steak pie.”
“I cannot say enough positive things about our stay at the Argyl Hotel. The location was central enough to be accessible to everything we wanted to do. The breakfast was very good. We wanted to extend our stay and the front desk people made sure we could stay. The best thing about the hotel is the warmth and caring of everyone who took the time to talk with us and attend to all our needs. My wife sprained her ankle and they went downstairs to the restaurant to get her ice.”
“Fantastic stay! Beautiful place. Hosts communication was wonderful as always. This is my 3rd stay here and felt it time I left a review! these guys really know how to present and look after a place!”
