“Whats not to like , great value for money, considering its the same price as the Premier inn, yet we got loverly views, car parking, a spa and 10 min bus ride into york. Bus stop right by the hotel. Staff were all great, room was fantastic, grounds were loverly. We onlt had the breakfast but everything fresh and tasty.”

“Nice campsite within a wooded area. Toilets and showers lovely and clean. Also washing up area with washing machine and dryer available for a fee. Nearby dog walk. Nags Head pub a good walk away but worth it as food excellent. Would not hesitate to book there again.”

“Great B & B. Around a 15/20 minute walk to the centre. Room was fine for us. Cooked breakfast was lovely and plenty of cereal options too. Will definitely stay again.”

“Beautiful room, great location. Had a lovely overnight during our 2 week UK trip. We stayed in the 4 poster room - bed could have been a little more comfortable (thin mattress, no boxspring), but the room is sweet and the bathroom was nice and modernized with a spacious shower. The location is unbeatable - on a lovely quiet historic street while still being super close to the train station and great walking distance to the center. Self check in was seamless and easy. Would definitely recommend!”

“All the staff we met was absolutely great, friendly and helpful. We never eat here other then breakfast which was delicious and a fair choice and we actually got to see the kitchen area and it was spotlessly clean and the breakfast service spot on. The room we had was clean and comfortable which is all you really need only niggle I had was TV in the room was tiny for the distance it's mounted to the top of the bed where you sit to watch it's not the best, but thats just for us.”

“We regularly leave our cat, Teddy, here in this home from home cattery. He settles in well and is looked after with cuddles and attention by the caring staff. Teddy is returning in March for another holiday! We highly recommend Aristocats to any cat.”

“Stayed at the inn for the weekend. Rooms are nice and clean. Right next to the pub, but you can't hear it, even the live music. Pub is lovely. Maybe the menu is lacking choice, but the pizzas are really delicious. Parking doesn't have number plate recognition anymore so no issues with it. There's no breakfast, but café across the road is serving sandwiches and cakes.”

“The Viking accommodation is located just a short distance from the centre. Very quiet during the night. The gentleman that greeted me was very friendly. He explained about all the attractions of this lovely city, and then showed me a tourist map of how to get to them. All together a very positive experience.”

“We dined on a thu evening at The Rise for my parents wedding anniversary. We were greated by a card from the restaurant to my parents which was a lovely touch. For starters we had the cheese souffle. This was delicious however it said with walnuts but we didn't see any. For mains two of us had the lamb shanks, my husband had the fish and chips and my mum had the fish pie. Portion sizes were on the smaller side but more than adequate for us, the fish pie was larger and mum said every mouthful was packed with seafood. All were absolutely beautiful. Delicious well done chef! We only had two desserts, the pavlova and the chocolate mouse. Both were very tasty and each with its own twist on things. Food is on the more expensive side, but you pay for what you get and it's definitely worth it. Drinks are very expensive, nothing special but absolutely OK. Service fabulous the staff never stop working hard to ensure you are well cared for, very attentive. We were served by Jack mainly but all staff were fabulous. We have had two afternoon teas here which were also delicious and wonderful. The whole hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend.”

“Excellently located near to both the railway station and city centre. A lovely warm reception was given and our room was just what was needed. Very clean, comfy bed, fridge & refreshments and plenty of sockets to charge the gadgets! A lovely 5 minute walk along the river and you’re in the city.”

“We have had a lovely stay at Wighill Manor lodges. Mel gave a warm and friendly welcome. We stayed in Willow, a one bedroom lodge for two nights. There was a spacious kitchen/diner/lounge with a remote control fire (the central heating meant we didn’t need to use the fire). The kitchen had tea, coffee, biscuits and milk provided and was well furnished with a dishwasher and washer/dryer. The bathroom was spacious with a bath and separate shower. The bedroom had ample storage space and was clean and comfortable. Due to the space we could have happily spent more time there. The hot tub was a nice addition and looked out on a picturesque field. We would recommend our stay and will definitely visit again.”

“Had a lovely meal Saturday evening, the chef accommodated us, even though we were very late(not our fault) only a few minutes before last food order, he produced a delicious curry for me and delicious fish and chips for my husband. So we decided to book for Sunday carvery. Absolutely delicious with an excellent choice of vegetables and trimmings with a good choice of meats, all very hot, very tasty, well presented by a friendly chef”

“Great location and atmosphere! We were here for a family birthday (party of 7) on a busy Sunday. Food was not only more than great but served altogether in a timely manner. Everyone including the kids enjoyed there food with enough choice to suit everyone. Staff were attentive and polite. Overall great experience!”

“We have had a delightful stay. A lovely independent hotel where every one tried their best to make sure we had everything we needed. The bedrooms were themed to plants. Ours was Papaya, and it was clean and very comfortable. A top class breakfast cooked to order. I can recommend the full English and Eggs Benedict. If we had stayed another day, I would have tried the salmon and scrambled eggs.”

“I just wanted to make time to say about the outstanding service I always receive from Jess. From Letsby Avenue. Nothing is too much trouble for her. I had a problem with the gas on Wednesday at 5pm by 5.45 pm someone was here and it was fixed. I feel 100% confident if I have any problems. Jess is on the ball keeps me updated what's happening. Then follows up with a call to make sure everything is ok She Is an absolute credit to Letsby Avenue . Thank Jess for your outstanding customer service”

“We have so enjoyed our visit to York it’s been made extra special by staying here at The Serenity Inn the City, it’s the most gorgeous Apartment, beautiful decorated, a home away from home, everything you need is a here for you, perfectly located for visiting York an easy walk to the City, no car required and if you do have a car, a car park is available for you Highly recommend staying here Loved it Thanks Jo , a special place to stay”

“Stayed in a 2 bed apartment at Bank Chambers. Excellent flat in a great location. Tastefully decorated and fitted out with all the mod cons. Knaresborough is a lovely little town with some good pubs and restaurants in itself and only a short cab/train ride from Harrogate. Would thoroughly recommend staying here.”

“Charlotte is Fantastic. You can tell she genuinely cares and enjoys looking after your fur babies . She provides constant updates and photo's ( I was a worrier) and puts your mind at ease . I wouldn't leave my bunnies with anyone other than Pippin Boarding.”

“Our fur baby Cheese was well looked after. Beautiful & clean cattery. He stayed for a week in a well equipped very large room with heated bedding and access to his own private catio. Lots of "Catit" accessories (personally great for our fur baby help to slow his eating & he is used to this brand too) plenty of room to run & play. Good variety of rooms with different styles. There's a room for more active cats with cat a wheel & more climbing available or for shy cats with lots of places to hide. Every option had different levels for cats to find their comfort space. Personally, I love that each space has floor to ceiling window with a upvc door to enter. This is so much better than some catteries that have the cage type where all the cats can hear each other and set one another off. Highly recommend. Our furbaby came home very happy & healthy after his stay. Thank you for looking after Cheese. We'll see you soon for our next break. Can't wait now as I know he'll be happy & well cared for when we next go away.”

“We stayed here for out visit to york. Its an amazing location and accessible to all key places in city. There is only one parking space. If you have a second car, it has to be parked on the road. there is a parking permit provided by the owner. So, its also covered. house is good and cosy. All ameneties are available.”

“We had a lovely few days in York staying at Reubens Court. The apartment was a great space for a few nights and had everything we needed. ♥️ The kitchen, sitting space was adequate for 2people and included lots of crockery, cutlery etc, even a washer dryer. I definitely recommend this location for anyone needing more than 1 or 2 nights.”

“I cannot fault the team at Anderton McClements at all. They are amazing and an extremely good agency. I would recommend them for anyone wanting to find a place in York. The team have been so kind and helpful throughout the whole process of us moving in and have been there for us every step of the way. They are a wholesome, kind, approachable, caring and really down to earth team. Always there with a happy smile. They are professional and knowledgeable, which has really helped us. Our house is so cozy and lovely with absolutely no faults. They have explained everything so well and made the process really smooth and easy. Good job team! They are really on your side.”

“Great apartment. Perfect for a couple of days away! Clean and well presented. Bed was really comfortable. Walking distance to York center. Only slight negative was it does get hot on the warmer days with not much option to ventilate. Easily fixed by going out and enjoying York in the sun. We will be re booking again definitely.”

It was the ideal base for exploring York’s historic streets. What really stood out, though, was the room service: consistently prompt, thoughtful, and delivered with a genuine warmth that made the experience feel truly welcoming. It’s the kind of place that strikes the right balance between comfort and convenience. I’d be very happy to return on a future visit.”
