“It isn’t often I give 5 star but this place deserves it! Before you even get chance to walk in the place, staff are already greeting you and asking how we were. The staff were friendly throughout the whole service and were very welcoming/accommodating as I had a young baby. The food was amazing! There is a large selection so there will definitely be something for everyone! On this occasion, we went for one of the set menus which is great value for what you get. The portions were perfect sizes and there was not a long wait time. If I lived in/near York, this place would definitely be a regular stop for me!”

“We were staying locally and decided to pop in and try this Indian restaurant. It was the best Indian food we have had. We ordered a veggie platter for 2, chicken korma, mushroom rice, and chips. Every dish was tasty, fresh, and hot. The food was served very quickly. The staff were very friendly. It had a great atmosphere and was not too pricey. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended.”

“Delicious meal, and extremely good value. Dropped in on a Sunday, and they do a very good 4-course meal for £11.95 which is a bit of a steal! We started with poppadoms and dips, and we then were able to choose our starters, main and sides. The onion bhajis and tandoori chicken were tasty light. We enjoyed the sizzling king prawn to follow as well as a lamb dish, plus naan and pilau rice. Service was quick and the staff were friendly.”

“Visited on the 22/09/23 Had the pizza bread with tomorrow for starter which was really tasty and light. Had lasagne for main. Bottle of Prosecco for drinks. Really enjoyed the meal. “I visit a lot of Sizzling pubs and so far this has been the best. Only visited for the first time on 24th October 2025. From the moment you walked in you could feel the warmth. A great friendly greeting from the landlady's husband and shown to our pre booked table. Ordering was easy. The starters came out fairly quickly and was hot. After a short wait between courses the mains came and they were very hot. Unlike many pubs they hadn't spent ages under a lamp. The gammon and pork chop was cooked perfectly. I would recommend this Sizzling pub to anyone. Thank you to all the staff for a memorable visit”

“What can I say about Mumbai kitchen... Well its a hidden Gem!!!! I have been told by friends and family to try this place as they have told me how wonderful the food and the service was... Was the right... From the moment you step into the place you feel the magic... The front house staff are really nice and friendly... Oh yeh not forgetting the lovely simple decor. I tried the fish pokora starter and a couple of chef special main course... With garlic and plain nan... I tried the fried rice and some side dishes..... I must say the food was amazing. I have tried many Indian places up and down the country and I will have to say this is one of the best. The price is very reasonable so I will most definitely come back again and recommend friends and family... Thank you Mumbai team”

“HFC has to be my all time favourite for when I’m in need of a good tasty meal. I have tried a number of burgers, chicken & wraps from HFC which is based close to the Thornbury BD3 roundabout yards away from McDonalds. The service was quick and proficient with polite friendly staff and most importantly the food was extremely tasty & at a reasonable cost. Therefore I would highly recommend HFC to anyone that’s looking for a mouthwatering meal to pop down to HFC”
