βThis review is for the private rooms. It's a clean, quiet room for an unbeatable price in London. I've stayed here twice on extended layovers in the UK, once in August 2024 and once in June 2025. The sheets and the bed are clean, and I appreciate that they have a full kitchen and ironing services. Respectfully, when looking for budget stays in London you do need to adjust your expectations. I've stayed in a number of budget hotels over the years and this is the only one that didn't have carpet mites or a mildew-y smell. London really is one of those places where it's worth it to upgrade your housing. This isn't a 5* experience by any means, just a safe and clean place to hang your hat when you're rarely going to be in the room anyways. I will say that this time the bathrooms were nowhere near as clean as last time. It was worth it to wait until late morning and use the facilities right after the cleaners. It seemed to me that there was a lot more long term residents there, mostly men, so it didn't have the same vibes as last time. I think it's probably a commentary on the global economic situation than anything else. The staff have always been pleasant, by UK service standards. :) Keep in mind their policies regarding cash that are provided when booking to avoid any phaff.β
βSince staying at the queen I have been treated so well by everyone. After arriving late due to being left hanging by another hostel, they took me in at very early hours. All staff have been so effortlessly accommodating. Kyle especially has made my stay amazing, as a solo traveler, his constant chats and company has been refreshing!β
βStayed here for new years eve 2022 and straight away I felt welcomed as soon as I got there, grabbed a drink at the bar & then checked in quickly. Managed to get a bottom bunk for the night and the bed was super comfy! You can also get a (simple) breakfast for Β£3 in the morning which was a life saver for me on a hangover before brunch. Victor was working during my stay and he was brilliant, taking care of anything I needed help with! Thank you Victor! My pro tip is to remember to take a photo of the inside door code before leaving it on your bed clip & heading out (I almost didn't think of it) and that for check out you have to bring down your linen (luckily I spotted this on a notice on the wall, maybe I missed this info during check in) :)β
βHad an excellent warm welcome to my stay on Tuesday 15/07/25 Breakfast was fantastic Room was clean and spacious Beautiful great grand garden to enjoy in London is also a novelty Will definitely and am in fact staying back there again tomorrow Many thanks to Tony and family for their warm hospitalityβ
βThe staff were exceptional in helping me when I really needed it, and for that im truly thankful. The hotel has nice enough rooms for what you would expect at the price point including a fridge, cooking facilities, and a smart tv hooked up ready to go. The area is nice and the people seem friendly and helpful. There are lots of nice shops as well as the regulars aka Mac Donaldβs costa etc.β
βPaul and the team were extremely helpful from start to finish. I would highly recommend that anyone who is the keen at any venue to come to this particular venue and meet with Paul and the team. If I was to do another event, I would happily come and see Paul again. Many thanks Bela and Jazzβ
βI really appreciate everyone I met at this hostel. Staff were so kind and everything was clean and comfortable. Itβs close to the station and easy to go anywhere. Iβd love to stay longer next time and cook in the kitchen! This hostel is simple but has everything you expect from a good hostel stay. Iβll definitely come back!β
βFor the price I would 100% recommend this hostel. Of course itβs not a 5 star hotel but for a couple of nights itβs great. The bunk beds are on three levels, so if you get the highest itβs not the most comfortable. The reception is open 24/7 which is amazing, I had to check out at 3am and i had no issue. The bathrooms are okay, quite clean. Overall a positive experienceβ
βGotta set the bad reviews straight! I stayed in a 14 bed female dorm and it was great! Loved how the female section was separated from the rest of the hostel with a pin code. There were great lockers in the rooms, bathrooms were good (just found one toilet that didn't always flush, but everything else was great and clean), didn't hear any noise at all from the downstairs bar (that might depend on the room idk), bed was comfy and cozy with the little curtain that covers most of the bed. There's a little light and a plug/usb port above each bed! Staff were great too!β
βRandomly for me and my mum and little brother for a weekend getaway the host was very welcoming as soon as we arrived very late they where so caring they offered us authentic food to eat and made us feel like we were at home definitely come again. and the room were soundproof .β
βSilvia was so accommodating to our needs and even after my request via telephone call in the morning, she followed up to check how far we were from the property. Very warm welcoming, clean rooms and a very comfy bed. Thank you so muchβ
βStayed for one night as we were going to the Royal Albert Hall for a gig. Good prompt reception, clean rooms, decent breakfast. Great location if you're visiting and sightseeing. (short walk from the tube). Would definitely use again. Only four stars for the room cos it was up 4 flights of stairs.β
βI had low expectations based on some of the reviews here, but had no problems during my stay. Yes the room was small, but I'm 6ft and had no trouble moving around. Yes it was hot, but there's a thermostat on the radiator. And yes the decor was a bit worn, but who cares at this price point. The room was clean, comfortable, and dark, and the price unbeatable. There were plenty of towels and toiletries and the kettle with tea, coffee, and biscuits was a nice touch. There was some noise from other rooms, but nothing earplugs didn't fix. The only thing the room lacked in my opinion was a bedside lamp and I had to be careful with the tap and shower which could run scalding hot.β
βThe room is clean and everything else is neat, tidy too. I only write this review because of other low rated review that was written before and I was worry before I come BUT NOT anymore after I am staying right now on July 2022. Everything is great especially with this price. They even put microwave and refrigerator that I don't see it in my Marriott Hotel that I stayed last week. For your information, it is a little far from train station and NO air condition for American. Other than that I can't ask for more with this price that is around the same as HOSTELS and NEARER to London than other cheap motels, hotels with your own clean room.β
βHonestly looks a bit sketchy at first, but itβs so lovely. It faces the water, itβs spacious and super clean. I will definitely be returning. Itβs such a nice location and close to so many nice places to eat and hangout. Pretty safe too. I wish the room had a thicker blanket and maybe a bathrobe because the bathroom and shower area isnβt in the rooms and itβs an apartment sort of a situation, and I donβt think anybody would want to get see in the halls in their towel by a stranger. The kitchen was also nice and clean and had a microwave, fridge, oven, washing machine and plates etc. They had a kettle too, but it was pretty dirty and definitely not in a usable condition. They also had tea bags, coffee, milk, shower gel, moisturiser and shampoo etc.β
βFirst of all I did read of the reviews, but when we actually went there it was quite well maintained and run effectively. The rooms were is good condition and kept clean, and they provided a breakfast service which served freshly cooked hot means. I was initially concerned, since reading negative reviews. Needless to say I think they have reevaluated their selves and made improvements, therefore in the whole it's rather decent for a 2-star hotel.β
βIt's basic but a nice wee place. The staff are always cheerful and happy to chat. The room was small but definitely worked for what I needed. They have a tea kettle in the room and a small fridge. Microwave and water cooler in the lobby. The area is lovely and has plenty of shops around and is within walking distance to other shops also.β
βI just stayed for 10 days. Everyone there was very helpful to me. This is not the nicest hotel in London, but it doesnβt pretend to be. This place is in a great location and The rate could not be better. There were some issues in the past at this location but that was with previous owners. The folks running it now are competent, kind, and attentive. If you want to stay at a hotel chain then go stay there. You will pay a lot more. If you are looking for a nice space that wonβt break the bank, youβve just found your hotel!β
βCheap & cheerful are the exact words to describe this place! It was by far the cheapest option for a hotel in central London which I needed for a 1 night stay, and it served its purpose! Do not expect this to be the fanciest hotel youβve been to, because it isnβt it - but it definitely is value for money because I couldnβt find anything like it in a 3 mile radius! Absolutely perfect for my needs with a private bedroom and private bathroom - most hostels charge this kind of price for the luxury of an 18 bed dorm ha! Book this if youβre just looking to get your head down for the night - it is absolutely perfect for that purpose. Do not be put off by the reviews.β
βI was staying for an extended period and was thoroughly satisfied with both the location and service. β€οΈ I am especially grateful for the assistance provided by staff members Abbey (apologies if the spelling is incorrect) and Baron. β€οΈ Abbey was truly a wonderful member of staff, showing considerate care towards elderly guests (assisting with luggage and general attentiveness) and treating tourists with limited English as a gentleman should. Thanks to him, I experienced lovely mornings and homecomings throughout my 15-day stay in London. I am Japanese. We Japanese hold 'omotenashi' (hospitality) in high regard. This hotel staff embodies it. There may be issues with some bathrooms (some rooms lacked hot water) and the building's age. However, I was moved by the staff's attentiveness far more than these points. I would recommend it to Japanese friends. To staff member Abbey, thank you for the wonderful memories. My sincere gratitude.β
βTwo years ago to this very day, I had the honour of staying at the palace that is Paddington Flats. Iβve stayed in many places since, but few have etched themselves into memory the way this one did. Itβs taken me two years to truly gather my thoughtsβto sit, reflect, and put into words the experience that was, quite frankly, transcendent. To be or not to be? Paddington Flats answers that question with a flamboyant to be, every single time. From the moment we stepped in, it was as if time slowed down. The chaos of London melted away, and in its place stood serenity, comfort, and quiet confidence. This wasnβt just accommodationβit was a state of mind. To spend a night at Paddington Flats is like riding a rainbow on a summerβs day. Joyful, surreal, and a little bit magical. The beds? Like being wrapped in a hug from the universe. The atmosphere? Shakespearean. The energy? Immaculate. In short, Paddington Flats didnβt just host us. It held space for us to breathe, laugh, and be. And for that, Iβm still grateful.β
