We could always get an appt and the staff are lovely esp the young guy on reception and Joanne the Manager who went above and beyond when he sadly passed away with heartfelt finishing touches. Our vet really went above and beyond, she took such care with my dog and took the time to go through everything with me. When it came to getting medication, the woman at the desk was so lovely and again, really took her time to go through everything with me to ensure I felt confident with what was required. You can tell everyone working there is so passionate about what they do. “We came to Don and the team at Dogwood Referrals in June 2023 after our 9-month-old cat, Edward, was hit by a car, leaving his legs in a terrible state. From the moment Dogwood took over Edward’s care, we knew he was in the best place. They successfully treated his front leg, and worked tirelessly to save his rear leg over several days, but unfortunately, the damage worsened by delayed treatment at our previous vet meant it couldn’t be saved. Don performed the amputation with incredible skill, and Edward’s recovery was amazing. The team cared for Edward—and us as emotional owners—with so much compassion. Edward healed quickly, with no visible scarring or complications, and was back to his cheerful, mischievous self within weeks. If I ever face another emergency with a pet, I will do everything I can to have them referred to Dogwood’s care.”

“Second year Luna, our rescue Dachshund, and a less nervous owner, has visited for her teeth to be cleaned. Last year we had 6 extractions, but this year due to the diligence and care of Lynn we just needed a deep clean. The staff are fantastic, friendly and caring. Lynn is an amazing person and vet. It is clear the love she has for animals. Took so much care of Luna and we have a clear plan for the coming years to try to keep her teeth for as long as possible. See you all next year, for the smile month, hopefully just more cleaning but whatever she needs I have so much trust in Lynn and the team that I am so relieved we found this vets. Highly recommended.”

“My little Cavachon Dylan has just had dental surgery. Quoted for 1 tooth removal and scale and polish - ended up with 6 teeth extracted. I was so shocked! However - no extra charge, so I was reassured that it was absolutely required. I was worried sick; as were not exactly wadded! Such a relief and the after care has been exceptional: A thorough explanation on pick up. A follow-up appointment booked. A phone call on the Saturday after surgery... We have Dylan's health plan with Vets for Pets and we used the out of hours prior to his op (thinking he was in pain). Because we saw a nurse ()ovely) and not a vet - so no charge for the reassurance. Best thing I did for Dylan was to register with this practice - they are wonderful with him.”

“We recently had to put down our wonderful Miniature Schnauzer, Rupert. Nicole (vet) was so lovely, patient and compassionate given that we were extremely upset. She gave us the time we needed and was so caring towards him and explained everything clearly to us. She has also been dealing with our other senior dog in the same caring way. I would also like to mention the staff on the desk - Suze and Lauren (others too but I'm not sure of names) who are a pleasure to deal with and were very sympathetic toward us after losing a big part of the family.”
