“What can I say, I love a good steak and you can definitely find one here! Perfectly cooked, full of flavour fillet steak. If you’re a carnivore like me then I’m sure you will enjoy every bite. I loved the fact they bring you a tray of different knives to pick from, nice touch. Really great service as well, super pleasant and welcoming. Will be back again. Highly recommend!”

“Went to Brewdog on Saturday 18/10/25 for their 2hr ‘Beer School’ event. There were 8 of us ‘in class’ which is run at a large table in the main bar area. It was an absolutely fantastic experience. Our ‘teacher’ was Cameron who really knew his stuff about Brewdog and the 5 types of Brewdog beers we sampled from light to dark. The pairings with the specially selected cheese and crackers were absolutely genius! Cameron was happy to take any questions as we talked through each sample and we had a lot of laughs at the same time. I definitely know now a whole lot more about beer than when I arrived!! Thank you Cameron I will definitely be attending again!!”

“Cosy atmosphere and great service in a former schoolhouse. Tasty freshly cooked food. The prawns pil pil were large and juicy, very nice. The vegetarian mushroom gnocchi had so many different variety of mushrooms in it. I would like to see more vegetarian options for mains though. Good selection of drinks. Very friendly staff. “We ordered a take away of sweet and sour chicken, curry chicken, and spring rolls. The food was an amazing, the portions were particularly good we shared the meal between 2 people and have leftovers :) The people was very nice and the service was very fast. I would definitely go back and make it one of my go to places”

“At last! A decent curry in Nottinghamshire. I’m from Birmingham so have spent my life enjoying delicious curries. I’ve tried countless curries in Nottingham and not found one that came close to one from the west midlands. We’ve tried 3 curries so far and all have been really fantastic. The naans are also great, along with the rice and other sides. Can’t fault!”

“If you stay in Doubletree by Hilton then you should visit their onsite restaurant. The menu is great, the food quality is outstanding so no need to search for a restaurant in Nottingham citi centre.”

“Just ordered mega burger with chips. Breakfast cob (sausage, bacon, egg, mushroom, hashbrown) Ordered through uber eats which normally means cold food but it arrived piping hot. Everything was cooked to perfection, hit the exact spot I was trying to fill. I JUST FOUND MY NEW FAVOURITE SPOT 10/10 Also affordable compared to everywhere else!!”

“We had a fantastic experience enjoying afternoon tea at Lace Market. Everything was freshly made in-house, which really stood out compared to many places that use store-bought items. The scones were a real highlight—freshly baked and served warm, just as they should be. The service was excellent too, friendly and attentive throughout. A special mention goes to Chef Cristina, who took the time to speak with us and made the experience feel even more personal. Our only feedback would be that in the future it would be wonderful if a savory afternoon tea option was also available. Overall, though, it was an exceptional experience and one we’d be very happy to recommend.”

“Can’t express it in words !! It was such a heart warming experience. We had got reference for Anoki and we were so excited to try it out. Being new to England, we went in with low expectations regarding the taste, but wow, it was the complete opposite! We were honestly blown away by how authentic the flavors were, just like back home in India. The food was absolutely amazing. Speaking of the chef, he was incredibly generous. When we mentioned that we were students, he warmly welcomed us with a delicious orange-guava mixed juice that tasted out of this world. Will definitely like to visit again♥️”

The setting alone is worth the visit: it occupies a grand, stunning Grade II listed building that truly reigns over King Street, making for an instantly luxurious experience. ​The atmosphere is sophisticated, and the decor is highly unique—the space is cleverly decorated with labeled and thematic elements, reinforcing the bar's name and concept. ​The real highlight, however, is the drink menu. The mixology here is truly creative. We ordered the Espresso Martini, and it was one of the best we've ever had. It was delicious, strong, and beautifully presented, creatively adorned with a dark chocolate edible spoon and a dash of caramel caviar. This attention to detail elevates the experience beyond a standard cocktail bar. ​If you are looking for an inventive drink in a stunning location near Nottingham station and the City of Caves, The Alchemist is an absolute must-visit.”
