“Amazing experience with great view and reasonable price”
“I'm reviewing based on both the Aqua spa and the afternoon tea! The spa is great. Very reasonable priced, given more than enough time to enjoy the facilities. They don't overcrowd the spa so that you aren't able to enjoy it. Lots of different areas to experience and relax in. Access to the pool which is great. Changing rooms are lovely. Offer lockers, costume dryers & hair dryers. Showers also have soap. Overall - great. Afternoon tea (best I've had). Sandwiches were lovely, scones were the best I had ever tasted. Perfect combination of fluffy but with a little crunch. I'm sure the jam was home made? Perfectly sweet and I don't like jam so that says a lot! Carrot cake pot was gorgeous, little caramel tort was delicious and the white chocolate/lemon fancie was stunning!! Presentation was great, customer service was very good and the servers kept our water and tea topped up!! Only points would be, probably another sandwhich? A lot more sweet then savoury options! I wasn't to keen on the rocky road but that's a preference I believe!! I've been twice now to do both and will be back again.”
“Been swimming there every day now for a few weeks, the monthly fee is reasonable, and the staff are always helpful and friendly. Elle has been so helpful, I took my 2 year old granddaughter there today, and Elle provided us with a few floating toys, and made my granddaughters first swimming session a successful trip! Going back tomorrow.”
“First visit, took grandkids while staying with us in Devon. Staff friendly and helpful, place was clean and tidy, change rooms good, toilets good, cafe good, chairs and sunbeds cheap to hire. Pool was amazing, clean and in good condition. Good life guard cover. Had a great swim with views over the Sound. Well worth a visit.”
“I started swimming with Ace in the Autumn as I wanted some tips on improving my technique in the open water. I have enjoyed every session with Jason and crew, whether it be a group training session or 1-2-1. The weather and water conditions have varied but I always feel safe and my swimming has hugely improved. Looking forward to signing up to more session in the future! Thanks Anna”
“Just had the best swim ever. I was coming down to Devon for the swoosh and remembered that Burgh Island was a definite bucket list swim for me. Without any expectation (2 days notice) I contacted open water Devon. Kate and Ivan found me Tom, a lifeguard, who escorted me round. The weather was perfect but I was really impressed by his attention to every detail of safety and his joyful enthusiasm. He was unrushed, warned me of possible shallow rocks and jellyfish and pointed out features, views. It was a relaxed, chatty and utterly gorgeous swim. I could have crawled round but ended up taking it easy to enjoy the feel, the vistas and whole experience. I could not have been better looked after and would have no hesitation in recommending the company.”
“What a great day out for adults and children. Admission in advance was £17 and a few pence per person and once inside the park food and drink was also very reasonably priced. Selection was burgers, fries, hot dogs ,wraps etc. There was a small selection of farm animals to feed and observe and a large indoor play area for if the weather doesn't cooperate. There was a card available on our visit that if you collected 6 stamps from the rides availability, a return visit after the school summer holidays is only £25 for upto 8 people. Overall a great day out and we are returning in September.”
“Great place for tots, teenagers and older folks. So much to do including 10 pin Bowling and Dogem Cars. Nicely stocked bar and restaurant selling basic meals.”
“Spent a week here for May half term. Had accomodation with hot tub. My husband and I and our two young kids were all very pleased with the accomodation. The swimming pool on site is brilliant and has a fabulous small kids splash zone by the main pool. The main pool is majority very shallow which again is great for young children. Less stress for the parents. Two great flumes for adults and bigger kids and an outdoor pool. I'd have liked to have more on site free entertainment or even, a few more paid activities young kids can do. Activities available are mostly great for age 8 plus. Site is very quiet, no evening entertainment like you get other places. Check in and out is easy! You open your accomodation door with an app you download on your phone. No keys to collect or drop off from reception.”
“Have been coming to Crealy for years with my daughter using the annual pass. It’s the best thing we ever bought! But Christmas at Crealy is just another level. We come every year, and for only £15 per child it is absolutely value for money. There is a 30-45 minute experience and your child’s pick of 50+ different toys from Santas Workshop. This year did not disappoint either - there can be some queuing as there is a constant flow of people moving through, but the staff/elves are just incredible. Huge shoutout to Baubles the elf (absolutely hilarious and so engaging with the children!) and Louise on entrance (all round lovely incredible lady) as they really made our experience this year. Book it next year or this if you have time - your child’s will not be disappointed.”
“This park feels very welcoming and homely even in December. Appreciate that they give you a call when your accommodation is ready to check in + friendly staff on the reception and around the swimming pool, clean and comfortable static. Swimming pool is very warm and no need to book/ keep to a time.”
“Beautiful views of the Cornish countryside. Visited for a friend's wedding. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, tidy and well furnished. As a guest there is access to the pools and sauna. I enjoyed a quiet morning swim. It is a very popular golf course, although not what I came for. Highly recommended for events, a weekend stay, the Health Club or to enjoy the high quality golf course. I didn't check out the spa on this occasion. Next time!”
“Brickfields sports centre is an excellent place to get fit. The staff are lovely, helpful and nothing is too much bother. No one ever judges you on technique or appearance. Everyone is there to achieve their own goal but if you are struggling then there are personal trainers on site to advise you and help. Come and join the gang, you'll love it.”
“Nice day out bit expensive but worth it grandson loved it staff very helpful”
“Great set up, pools are both great, outside one in good weather is like being on holiday. Classes are very good and the instructors I have met are great (Kev Cardio Tennis top chap) it’s always clean and tidy. Gym Area is small for the size of the building, but apart from January never struggled to get on what I want. Kids have been to a few clubs and enjoy them. Very happy member.”
“As wardens we like to get away for a night and try different surroundings. We booked at 11.30pm Sunday evening for the following day, received an email asking for our arrival time. We replied back asking when the earliest was we could arrive. Fabulous response the following morning to say we can arrive at 2 instead of 3. Lovely When we arrived the reception lady was very nice, helpful and showed us where to go. First impressions of the bedroom was lovely, walked inside bed comfy, towels, hand towels, shampoo and shower gel all on the bed. Tea making facilities all ready. Clean lovely bathroom. View was very nice you could see the ocean and at night all the lights in the distance. We went back and booked for a swim. The staff were fantastic, we had forgotten towels and they kindly gave us a couple for free. The pool was okay, it didn't seem to be heated but not freezing cold. You could see it was near end of season and could do with a bit of a clean however it didn't offend me and we enjoyed ourselves. Thank you. I have absolutely no real negatives just a couple of comments. The outside furniture has seen better days with one of them being broken and mismatched. The kettle which was brilliant being normal size was a little tricky to fill but we used a cup to fill it from the sink. The wardrobe area looked a bit dated. Considering the above none of this spoilt our visit and we would absolutely return again. Thank you all for being great.”
“Lovely pool. Great gym. Fantastic staff”
“Just wanted to say a big thank you to Jack, one of the groundskeepers, who helped us when we had a flat tyre after swimming lessons. It saved me changing the wheel in the dark with my little one there too. Thank you!”
“Only used the gym on a tourist pass three times in a week, not tones of kit but what they do have is good stuff and I never had to wait to use any of it. Staff were friendly and helpful.”
“I have just had the pleasure of doing the Friday morning aquafit class. It was a fabulous class with a lovely knowledgeable lady instructor called Steph. It works every part of your body with no stress on your joints. You can do as much as you are able & she shows different adaptable moves. The class was really full with lots of lovely ladies of all ages but I think men would also really benefit too! I couldn't believe how many calories I burned in 45 mins! It didn't feel like it & left feeling really refreshed. I look forward to next week!”
“Good roller disco! Very fun and my child learnt very quickly with the supportive staff !”
“Nice group of people and good coaches.”
“No words required. Just sit in the moment.”
“Caroline is a brilliant teacher. The pool is nice and warm. Changing area is super clean. Definitely deserves 5 star review.”
“Very pleasant round-the-lake walk if your legs can carry you a couple miles!”
“My children and I love coming to the Devonshire. Matt the lifeguard/swimming coach is honestly the nicest person ever and he is great with my son who is autistic. The pool is usually a pleasant temperature and I love that they have opened the outdoor pool again. It would be really helpful if there was a family changing room as my son can’t go in the men’s on his own but he’s nearly at the age where he’s too big to come in with me.”
“Brilliant service from Liam csa and the centre. Thank you”
“Whay a warm welcome. First time at a gym. The staff were so helpful and friendly. I will be back.”
