“Just had a really good takeaway of crispy chilli beef, Szechuan duck, salt and pepper chicken, egg fried rice and prawn toast. All delicious, the duck was really spicy the way it should be, and the chicken was so crispy and well seasoned. Very good, will definitely be ordering again.”

“I had peri peri chicken served with boiled rice meal twice from Village Pizza & Kebab. The mouth watering, juicy while chicken with their own prepared sauce and salad is the best in town. Little shop in Lower Tilehurst (Reading) you can do collection from there and also order online. Highly recommended”

“I have always had a good experience here. The food is delicious the customer service is amazing and it’s open late delivery up to 2AM 1 of my favourite places to go for a late night snack and it’s a FAMILY run business which means the food is always good quality unlike some of these other commercial restaurants… I would highly recommend it to anyone who has not already tried it….”

Wishing her all the best and move up quickly as she knows what she is doing....Papa John may provide ingredients but it takes someone special to make it all work and she nailed the stuffed crust, toppings and presentation. “We order online for a food collection. Our order was prepared quickly and ready to collect at the exact time specified. The team were friendly and welcoming. The quality of the food was very good and the takeaway food packaging (for salads with dressing, dough balls, pizza, etc) was very well thought out to prevent leaks and avoid grease going through pizza boxes, whilst being 100% recyclable. Very well done!”

“Itsu never stops to deliver good food, really like to go to them, I have visited a few of their locations in the last few years, everytime I go the food is very fresh and served quickly, only took us a few minutes to order and less 10 minutes later the food was there, very good sushi and sashimi, we tried the miso soup too, please stop to any of their locations to have a quick and easy sushi experience , staff members are very friendly and the prices are great to, please check the pictures !”

“Went with family for a dinner. Indian food served with Kerala taste and spices. And they serve Halal meat. Nice ambience. Easy to identify from even heavy traffic.Nice and small restaurant with ample seating. Typical Kerala food !! Enjoyed every bit of Kappa(tapioca)biriyani and Kappa with fish curry was awesome. I tried Beef fry and beef ularthiyath.Both were excellent but I expected beef fry bit more dry than ularthiyath. Both went well with traditional appam. Kids also enjoyed appam and fish curry. Kappa biriyani (mutton) was pure tradition blend. Thalassery biriyani was not dum but rice was khaima small rice.Since we were in Thalassery before and tasted authentic one before , biriyani was not as expected,but was not bad. Kerala porotta was nice with beef.Masala tea was so good. Tried a mango lassi as well , and lassi was superb. What I felt fantastic was the serving speed . Never seen a hotel in Uk serving that quick. Very friendly and polite staff. Very pocket friendly restaurant. Will definitely visit again. Parking in the front of the shop is paid parking for 2 hours.”

“I was so excited to attend the open evening today! They did a voucher for a free plate of food and free drink with live music outside! The food was delicious! The rib meat really fell off the bone! The pulled pork was so succulent! The salad was nice and crisp and the fries were perfectly seasoned. They really have got it right! I can't wait to visit properly!”

“I've read alot of miserable reviews of the hotel being a little rundown which is true. But i paid £75 to stay in the Grange which I thought it was very good value for a quiet and comfortable room. This included a very decent breakfast. And the grounds are really very nice. Great walks.”

“I ordered the Veggie Supreme from Domino’s and it was fantastic! I’m Muslim, and I really appreciated that Harman and Ravi respected that by using a fresh cutter and dough. The drinks are reasonably priced, with a good range of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. The food came out quickly, but still tasted fresh and well-prepared — a pleasant surprise, as "fast pub food" doesn't always have the best reputation. Not here though — no upset stomachs, just genuinely enjoyable meals. I had a generous portion of crispy chicken, which was perfectly cooked. My partner ordered the Caesar salad and said it was one of the best she’s had. The overall portion sizes were more than satisfying. The atmosphere was relaxed, with background music at a comfortable volume, making it easy to enjoy a conversation. The location is easy to get to, and there’s plenty of parking available, which is a big plus. All in all, The Travellers Rest is a great spot for casual dining and drinks. We'll definitely be returning.”

“What can I say, it’s a Spoons, great prices for drinks, Doombar was £2.25 or something like that, service was good and swift. It’s a popular place at the top of town, pretty busy with young and old, busied up in the early evening, we dropped in at 4 and then again at 6 on the way to another venue. A lot of glasses ready to go lol as you can see in the pictures!”
