“Went with my partner to the wine tasting we ith z set menu absolutely loved it, fantastic service from the waitress and waiter my partner got on really well with Danny, same daft sense of humour, he told us he's finishing the course soon and has a permanent job. I'm already looking to book again Return visit for Burns night serviced by Collin and Cody again excellent service nothing to much trouble, excellent meal very difficult to choose will be booking again.”

“What a Beautiful shop. So many gorgeous items. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The coffee shop is a nice place to grab some food and a drink, again staff helpful and friendly. This is a definitive must visit if you haven't already. We love the items we bought and will definitely be back.”

“Amazing Polish food, tastes just like home. Everything is fresh and cooked with care, also service is very polite and accommodating. The only downside is that they don't accept card payments and nobody informs you of that prior to the order, although it's possible to make a bank transfer.”

“We’ve enjoyed several lunches and some afternoon teas, coffees and cake over the last couple of years. Everything has been of a consistently high standard. The food is bursting with flavors, colorful, fresh ingredients, absolutely delicious, and such inventive recipes. I love the tomato dish, and the riverside salad was exceptional. The cake selection varies and the only problem is deciding which one to get as they are all so good. Service is helpful and friendly. A wonderful cafe.”

“Wonderful little place. We stopped by this morning, and both breakfast and lunch items were available all day. Had the coronation chicken and it was a hearty portion - bigger than expected, and bigger than most places! Waitress was incredibly friendly and went out of her way to make us feel welcome.”

“The best restaurant in Southwell. Absolutely loved it here, the food was amazing with lots of flavour. Clean, tidy, smiley friendly staff. Probably the best Indian food I've ever had. Ignore all the bad reviews as they are all over 3 years old and from when the previous owner ran it. New owner for the past 2.5 years and he's done a great job of turning this restaurant into a 5 star experience. We will definitely return and recommend to my family and friends. “Wow! To be honest this was an impromptu visit on the last night of our stay in the lovely Tideswell, and it’s a gem! Phoned up and Sal fitted us in on a table that was booked from 7:30pm… no problem. We took our own alcohol as advised by him on the phone. I had a Calzone and my wife one of the chicken specials. I finished my calzone which was so so delicious and so rare for me to do so. Two completely clean plates. The atmosphere was lovely and to be honest the sheer openness and friendliness of the front of house was amazing. It’s a shame we found this gem on our last night.”

“Went to castleton for a holiday and was so bored of eating pub food so decided to try 1530. The building was constructed in 1530 hence the name. I went there with my partner to have some quality time. The service, food, wine pairing and atmosphere was just so good. They even have some vegetarian options and that was a win for me! 10/10 would visit again if I’m back in castleton!”

“Lovely village pub at the end of a quiet lane. Although the rooms were fairly small inside, the atmosphere was quiet and not crowded. Service was always very fast and friendly, the food was cooked perfectly! No vegetarian options were on the menu but we contacted them in advance and were able to pre-order from a few options. This place was a great find and I'd definitely return.”

“This was such an amazing find! My partner found this beauty by mistake when we were looking at going out for food at lunch and it was even better than expected! The food was amazing, choice was good (I'm veggy so always a tiny issue at times) and absolutely delicious. The staff couldn't be more welcoming and could not do enough to help. Plus, the view of the planes and the runway was amazing along with earwigging on the members there which was so interesting. We'll definitely be back!”

The food options on the standard menu are vast, and there is also always a great selection of specials on the boards. The cakes are BEAUTIFUL and such unusual flavours! We come here every few months for a brunch and love it every time, and would always recommend!”

You must try the venison! Warm atmosphere with Japanese inspried decor, only space for 28 covers so booking far ahead is essential, Great attentive service.”

You can byob for a corkage fee of only £3pp so can bring a bottle of wine and get a bit sloshed to make the food taste even more incredible. Came here for 2 year anniversary with my girlfriend, was very special. Compliments to the chef, best food I have eaten in a long time!”

“First time been to this restaurant Chez Lahlou's. We ordered a starter and a main course and we had free chicken wings and garlic breads before the starter and main course. We really enjoyed the meals. The main course was absolutely big portion. Excellent value for every meal we've had. Lovely atmosphere, Cosy and romantic.
